Afterword

Hello, Alita Kayali here. Thank you for reading The One Surrounded By Fire. I thought about shortening the title to just ‘Surrounded By Fire’, it feels slightly better, but weird at the same time. Like, what do you mean, surrounded by fire? Are you talking about the grill?

I would like to thank Jesus Christ for the strength He has given me to write this novel. I also wanted to thank Nathanael Erhart for doing the cover for this story.

I wouldn’t say this one is the hardest novel I've written, but certainly not the easiest either. The fact that it didn’t have to have a high word count may help. I do feel like I've grown slightly as a writer when writing this, even if only slightly.
