“How did I get here, and what do you mean? I've never heard of a time deity.".
Alice questioned the Godmother. It was hard for her to see by how dark the surroundings were
The Godmother expressed a deep sigh, snapping her fingers. The pitch dark area became a room reminiscent to a log cabin.
“It's gonna take some time, so have a seat, child.” Alice hesitated to take a seat, was it caution or fear? Either way she sat down.
“Now, to answer your question. I am more of a time sorceress with powers of a Deity. A Deity is just someone who inherited god powers, but we aren't well known In stories, or books. I've come here for two things, and one of them is to warn you of something frightening in the future.”
Alice grew surprised from this information, yet kept her cool and remained calm. She soaked up what godmother said like a dry sponge.
“What is this thing you're gonna warn me of?”
Alice responded, but gulped in anticipation for what was about to the answer this lady was about to give.
Godmother inhaled, going on to say.
“3 years from now something drastic will happen that will change everything. It all has to do with that white eye you have...”
“Wait do you know something about my eye!?”
Alice sat up from her seat saying with excitement.
“I may know a little, but settle down I can only give you a hint.”
Alice was bubbling up with excitement about the information as if she was too impatient, unlike Godmother who was patient.
“Then hurry up and give me the hint already!”
Godmother's purple eyes glowed as she started releasing bloodlust-like pressure onto Alice for a short moment. Alice had never felt something as scary as that in her life.
“Sit down, child.”
‘Right this is a time sorcerer I'm dealing with. She could possibly kill me if she wanted to.’.
Alice hesitated to say anything back and just sat down immediately trying not to anger Godmother anymore.
Just like that her demeanor took a 180 and her sudden bloodlust disappeared..
There was an eerie silence from the both of them until godmother tried breaking the silence.
“Anyways… That white eye was born from someone important long ago who disrupted this realm with that power. That is all I have to say.”
Alice was puzzled trying to make sense of things. The white eye she was given as well as this mysterious person.
“Why tell me this now? Why not when I was younger?”.
Alice questioned.
“To tell you the truth I haven't even had these powers for 1 year, so I can only tell you what will happen rather than go back in time and tell you then.”
The godmother seemed trustful, and the fact she could do all of this doesn't seem far off from the truth, at least that's what Alice thought
“Then… What will become of me in the future?
Godmother held up her hand waving her finger side to side as if she was saying “Nuh uh.”.
“I can't tell you what will happen, if I do then it won't happen.”
‘Well, she does have a point…’ Alice thought to herself.
“Oh my, it's almost time until I go see him. Before I go I'll make it so using your eye will be a little easier from now on.”
She'd lean in over the table and placed her hand against Alice's forehead as some shining bright white light was appearing from her hand.
“What did you do to me?”.
Alice questioned...
“Like I said, it will be easier to use it.”
‘I can feel that something happened to me but I'm unsure what it is, and my eye feels about the same too…’
Godmother giggled as she sat back down. Finally with a soft smile on her face she snapped her fingers and began to say.
“Now go! and make a difference in this world.”
Alice came back to reality, she was laying on the floor from when she passed out.
By her side was Marcella along with Youm and Flare.
“Alice! Are you okay?”
The first to say that was Marcella, but Alice was still feeling a little dizzy.
“Yeah, ugh I'm fine. How long was I out?”.
“Roughly around a minute. You must've fell flat on your face because you were just laying there once we got here. Oh my, did you hurt your head princess?”
Alice was wobbling trying to stand, thankfully Youm was there to help her up.
“Thanks, Brother.”
“Don't mention it. Are you okay, Sis? You don't look the best and you're rather cold.”
“Yes I'm fine, just feeling a little off…”
‘Maybe I'm feeling this way because of what Godmother did to me at the last bit… what did she do to me exactly?’
Youm, Flare, and Marcella stared at Alice with all gloomy expressions on their faces.
“Don't worry too much guys, I'm okay, promise. But anyways, are the soldiers here!?”
The three of them looked at each other confused by what she meant. As if a light bulb popped up above Marcella's head she spoke out.
“Could you see soldiers from that far away? Wait— this isn't because of your eye is it?"
“I’ll uhm… tell you guys later. More importantly we have to go to Fa—”
Alice was abruptly interrupted by a soldier that stopped to kneel, having his hands clenched together as a sign of respect.
“YOUR ROYAL HIGHNESSES I COME WITH UTMOST IMPORTANCE!”
Youm was the first to speak given the state Alice was in.
“You may speak.”
“THERE IS A PATH OF LIGHT FROM THE TORCHES COMING THIS WAY, WE BELIEVE THEY ARE ENEMY SOLDIERS. FROM THE LOOKS OF OUR SCOUT'S THEY BARE THE FLAG OF A HOMUZE, SIR, ALONG WITH MERCENARIES.”
“Homuze? Wait, that's the kingdom we got into an alliance with recently. Why would they…? Where is Father right now?”
A few minutes before Alice saw Godmothe, the King was preparing for the party. Everyone else was lighting up the room and many other noblemen came to attend.
“King Boumen, what a beautiful day it is for your daughter to finally turn 14 right?”
The one who said that was viscount Sean. He controlled the western area where it's safe from hostility, but because of that he's very spoiled.
“Viscount Sean, thank you. It is certainly a great time, yes.”
Boumen was grateful, but he could sense the malice coming from the noblemen. Boumen knew why because he still remembers what happened that day.
Ugh I'm only here to get an audience with the king.
Why must we go to the White demons party?
I hope she slips and falls. Haha wouldn't that be hilarious, especially in front of all these people.
Although they didn't say it, Boumen could tell that's what they all thought just by looking at their faces. He clicked his tongue hoping for something positive to happen until.
“KING BOUMEN! AROUND 7000 TROOPS ARE HEADING THIS WAY, WE BELIEVE THEY ARE FROM OUR NEIGHBORING COUNTRY FROM HOMUZE.”
Boumen was shocked to hear the news. His eyes widened but he shook. Off the shock with a nod. He scuffled his beard while dazed in what was told.
“S-Seven thousand? There's no way we can beat that!”
Whispers came all around as they slowly panicked. Boumen noticed this and sighed doubtfully.
However there was one guy who was calm, being Duke Thunrai. He spectated what was going on without saying a word. It was really hard to tell what he was thinking but he glared at Boumen.
‘I know, Duke. I'll handle it.’
Boumen put his foot down and threw out his hand.
“Silence! We are people of Lavosh. Who do you think built this nation to what it is today? We will win this battle like always and show them what it means to mess with thunder.
“YES SIR!”
Boumen exhaled a sigh of relief.
‘I hope it isn't who I think it is, Taichou.’
And so the story continues.
