Before the fall

[ 1936 world war time period ]

The world burned into fire, almost every nation joining alliances to participate in the world war. This war was not fought for right or wrong - it existed only for the ego satisfaction of World leaders, a war born from pride rather than justice. Almost 18 months have passed since the war began. Millions of people died in this war, but no one thought of stepping back— neither nations and not world leaders.

In the battlefield, everywhere lay soldier’s dead bodies, and the air was filled with the heavy smell of gunpowder and blood, while in the soldier camp a lieutenant stood up and prepared to give a speech to the remaining brave soldiers.

The lieutenant looked at their tired faces, then spoke in an aggressive but motivational voice.

“ Look around you …” he said. “ We are surrounded by enemies,” the lieutenant said, his voice motivating soldiers. “ If we fear them… or if we beg for our lives like cowards, that shame will cling to us foreverrr!. We should never be able to face our loved one again, never meet their eyes!!”

The lieutenant looked in, soldiers and said. “ You want this?!!”

Soldiers reply. “No sir”

The lieutenant said one more time with more aggression. “ I ask a-again, you want this?!!”

Soldiers said. “ No Sirrr!!!” the soldiers shouted together. Then the lieutenant continued her speech.

“Don't forget,” the lieutenant said, his voice raised. “Even gods bow their heads in front of the confidence of brave soldiers.!”

He stepped forward, his voice filled with anger. “Go f-forward. Strike down every enemy! Who dares to set their eyes upon our countries. Glory to our motherlands”

“Now gooo, show them who you are — and know this, more soldiers are already on their way to stand beside you.”

Then every soldier began preparing to go into the battlefield, equipping their weapons in silence— rifles loaded, helmet wearing. In the middle of that tense moment two soldiers, Sam and Alexander , speak to each other.

Sam adjusted his rifle and said. “ Are you ready… for this battle, Alexander?”

Alexander said. “ That thing doesn't matter…w-we have only one choice, o-only going forward.”

Sam exhaled slowly. “ Yeah, you are right. B-But… m-my parents, they're waiting for me.” Sam lowered his voice and said. “ If I d—die in this war… no one will remain to care m-my parents.”

“Stopp!” Alexander said. “ We both are going back to our own countries.” Alexander smiled and said, “ And you forget your promise to me — when this war is over, you’ll feed me your country's best dish.”

Sam looked at Alexander. “ Hahaaaa… I’ll definitely give you the treat. And… thank you Alexander, for everything.”

Before Alexander could reply, the lieutenant shouted. “ Go! Gooo! Go!”

Then every soldier rushed out of the camp, they directly charged straight toward the enemy post. Gunfire erupted at once — enemy soldiers opened fire without mercy, many soldiers were hit by bullets and fell one after another, but they didn't stop. The remaining soldiers pushed forward, they also fired in the counter and took down a few enemy soldiers.

Sam and Alexander rushed together at the front line. No matter how many shots came flying towards them, they didn't stop. They kept moving towards the enemy post.

At the enemy post, an enemy lieutenant stepped out of a camp and raised his hand, and gave order. “ Prepare the mortar launcherrr!”. he shouted.

Enemy soldiers fastly loaded mortar shells into mortar. Then the lieutenant lifted his arm, his expression cold and fixed.

“Three…two…one… Fireee—!”

THOOMP—THOOMP!!

The mortar fired. The shell shot up into the sky, then crashed down onto the ground. !! Boom - Boom !!. Many violent explosions followed, and many soldiers were thrown into the air by the impact.

One mortar shell directly fell straight towards  Sam and Alexander —

Boom!

Whhummp —

After the blast, Sam was thrown away onto the ground. His body brutally hurt and he tried to stand, but his head was spinning. “ W-What…what happened to me?” he said, his voice shaking and trying to move his body.

As a feeling returned, sharp pain spread through his body. Sam looked down and froze — one of his hands had been blown apart by the impact, blood pouring out into the ground.

“ A-aahhhhh ! My hand… m-my hand is gone — it hurts… it hurts so bad!”. Sam looked around through the smoke.

“Alexander …? Alexander, where are you…?” Sam said, his voice is very weak

Then Sam saw Alexander through the smoke. Sam pushed himself forward and slowly moved toward him, dragging himself across the ground despite the pain. After reaching Alexander’s side, Sam asked. “ Alexander… A- are you ok?”

No reply came from Alexander 

Sam froze. Slowly and painfully, he realized the truth. 

Alexander is dead.

Sam pulled Alexander close and hugged his dead body. “ Y-You said… you said you wanted to taste my country’s favourite dish,” he said desperately. “ Please don't leave… don't leavee me!, my friend. No matter! I'll take you back to the camp— please …don't leave me.

Then Sam stood up, holding Alexander's body with his one remaining hand. Step by step, he began to carry him back toward the camp, trying his best to bring Alexander's body to camp.

Sam  moved toward the camp, carrying Alexander’s body while using all his strength. Each step became heavier and more heavier, his vision blurred, but he didn't stop and continued walking toward the camp.

One enemy soldier fired a gunshot. Bannng—

A bullet cut through the air and hit Sam directly in the head.

His body fell forward onto the ground beside Alexander.

And Sam also dead—

Both friends died on the battlefield. Their dream was left forever unfinished. And they were not the only ones— millions of dreams, beliefs, hopes and faith many things were broken or unfinished forever. No matter how many sacrifices were given, in the end no one gained anything.

However, something happened far beyond Earth- beyond the solar system, beyond the universe and beyond our imagination. In an endless void, where nothing exists and time has no meaning in this void, a massive godlike entity is sleeping.

Slowly, its eyes opened 

“...Who are youu ?” 

An unknown voice replied. “ Hehhh… you really look sexy!. You are a godlike entity, but I want to see you in a Maid costume. Hmmm how gorgeous you look— I can't even imagine it.”

Then the godlike entity said. “ Your stuupid wordss do not affect mee. I will erasee your existence.”

The godlike entity moved her massive hand toward the unknown speaker, ready to erase his existence.

“Wait— wait” the unknown person suddenly said. “ I have something to tell you.!”

A few moments passed

A portal slowly opened within Earth's solar system, cutting through time and space around it.

Then a godlike entity comes out the portal and enters the solar system.

But suddenly, his attention was pulled elsewhere, he said.

“ So, you have also arrived here!!”
