Fishing

Dano had finally arrived at the avenue. It was almost empty, but some people were still running away. She started to walk faster and faster, until she was almost running. After something like a hundred meters, Dano spotted her brooms. Everything was there, almost the same way it was before the "arrest".

"Why did I get so... worried? Who would steal brooms?"

The moment Dano looked in the opposite direction her brooms were at, she was raised to the roof of a building next to her. 

"Are you okay, girl?"

Suddenly, from ground to sky, Dano was staring at a tall and beautiful woman. She had shiny brown hair and cool pointy blue glasses.

Dano was amazed by her beauty, but confused by what had just happened.

"What am I doing up here Miss...?"

"Miss Sutaru. Are you ok?"

"Okay, Miss Sutaru, how did I come from there to... — Dano noticed how far she was from the ground — t-t-to h-here."

"Oh... how can I explain... basically, I caught you like a fish."

"Fish?"

"Yeah, you know, with a rod, like a fishing rod" — Sutaru began to childishly imitate someone fishing in a boat. And then noticed again that Dano was up there (she had already forgotten).
"I mean, you were this close to being killed — she said while approaching her hands to Dano's face — and you wouldn't even know what killed you.

There was nothing under there. At least, Dano couldn't see it yet.
"There is nothing down there."

"Yes, there is. Look — said Miss Sutaru while putting the glasses in Dano. — There's a big yeti or whatever that thing is down there. I was going to buy a new broom when I saw that thing eating watermelons next to a stall. I knew that the moment the watermelons were all eaten, that thing would become aggressive".

Dano wasn't listening since she saw the yeti or whatever that thing was. So, was that a magical creature? The reason Miss Sutsaru could see was because... she was magical too?
"Are you a... magical creature" — she meant witch, but she was a little dizzy with that much information.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't present myself properly. I'm Miss Sutaru, the witch of beautiness."

Dano shivered with joy. She was in front of a witch.

"Now, you stay up here. I'll have to give this potion to that thing quickly, before the police arrive and kill... this."

There was no one nearby, and Dano still didn't know why everyone was running out.

Miss Sutaru jumped off the building they were at in a graceful way and started running on the wall, right towards the ground. Near the first floor, she jumped to the place where Dano was selling brooms and took one.
"I think the owner won't notice if I take one." She pulled out a "temporary flying broom liquor" from her bag, pouring half of the flask onto the broom.

"Liquor liquor, do I hear you?" she whispered to the broom, trying to activate the potion effect. The glasses were still with Dano, so she took another pair, made out of sticks and leaves, out of her bag.

She jumped in the air and said in a normal voice: "Alta Volant!"

The broom began to fly.

Miss Sutaru said some words Dano didn't understand, making a crystalline wand appear in her hand. The yeti was still eating watermelon slices when his foot got hit by a cyan light. Sutaru had used a spell to make it sleep, but because it only hit this part of his body, it stayed numb.

The yeti acted like a monkey. It was probably a big magical white primate, but this doesn't matter. He started to flee, hopping on one foot.

After noticing the spell hit the wrong place, Miss Sutaru flew right above the white monkey's head. As she approached, she stood up on top of the broom.
She was getting closer. And closer. And closer... and then she jumped. Or she fell off it? Dano couldn't tell the difference, but now Sutaru was in the back of the hairy body of the yeti. She got her wand in the right ear of the thing.

"Ut tu dormies!" she screamed.
Instantly, the yeti stumbled. Miss Sutaru was launched 20 meters away, landing awkwardly graceful. She ran to the yeti, casting another spell, which made it disappear. She looked at Dano and gave her a thumbs-up.

With a wand movement, Sutaru made the broom return to her. She climbed onto the broomstick and flew towards Dano.

When she arrived at the building, Miss Tadano was shockingly amazed. She just met a witch and... that was amazing.

"Miss Sutaru — Dano was willing to ask. Was there any chance that that witch would teach her magic? — Miss Sutaru, I have to ask something."

"If you want to become a witch, that's a risk I'm not disposed to put you into."

"B-but how?"

"I saw you were amazed by the things I did back there. Your face was almost shining. I can't risk a pretty girl like you."

"But I ca–" — Sutaru covered Dano's mouth with her hand.

"I hear cars approaching. By the amount of wheel noise and by the situation, they're police cars. If they catch me, I will be arrested or worse. Here, get onto the broom. — Dano stepped on the edge of the building and got onto it — I'll leave you at your home. Where do you live? I'll just start flying otherwise, the police will see us leaving the place."

Dano screamed. Miss Sutaru did it so fast that the two yellow petal-shaped clips Dano used in her hair went flying. She did it so fast that in less than ten seconds, they were above the clouds. She did it so fast that Tadano wasn't even on the broom anymore. It was just for a moment, until Sutaru captured her again mid-air.

After a minute of flying, going now at a slow pace to Dano's house, she asked Miss Sutaru.
"Sutaru, Miss, may I ask you a question?"

"You already asked me, I said it's not worth the risk, I don't think yo—"

Dano interrupted: "I'm not talking about it... I was going to ask why so many people were running out of Kabu Boulevard?"

"Oh... that was me. I had to make a safe space so I could capture the yeti. So I used a large area spray potion of despair. So they just ran off the avenue. I had sent the police to another location a few minutes before, but the quantity of people 'needing help' called attention to this location."

"You probably saved me. If you didn't call the police with a magical emergency, I would have been brainwashed or something like that now."

"But I didn't. I just said there was a silent bank robbery happening at the other side of the city. There wasn't anything related to magic. I just thought they would have to check, since their communication methods were cut off this morning."

Something else saved Dano. Probably something bad, but something.
