Police Report

At Kabu Boulevard

"Agent 03943 reporting to Miss Saisatsu Tenkei."

"You may proceed."

"Miss, the place is all marked and deserted, except for the police forces. Some people who were in places nearby said they heard screams coming from Kabu Avenue. They reported it to an officer, who ran to the station. There was almost no one there, due to the level 4 blue alert we had earlier. The moment you arrived at the police station, we went here. The people who were fleeing the boulevard can't remember why they were so desperate. This is all I know for now."

"Understood. Gather some agents and fix the sales stalls that were taken down."

Miss Tenkei spotted a small shine, reflected from a lamp post. There was a yellow object near a building. A few steps away, there was another. She remembered that thing. There were the clips Tadano Dano was using earlier that day. It had the same petal shape.

"I knew it." — Saisatsu thought Tadano Dano was the 900-year-old witch who, somehow, faked a non-magical body. She thought the place was magic-marked because of her.

Miss Tenkei called the white-collared cop who supposedly made Dano forget about that day.

"You did the Mind Improvement correctly, didn't you?"

He was caught off guard. Did he? He wasn't sure. He just pressed everything he could and then asked 'can you remember?'. She basically answered no, so it had probably worked.
"Y-yes, I did everything right. Why?"

"Take this to the analog test. I need to check if this is from Miss Tadano."

He thought he was going to be fired right then and there, but Tenkei said:
"I think she is the witch we were looking for, but somehow she was able to cheat the system. Oh, true, I'll also need you to check in the system where she lives, as soon as we recover it."

She turned away and started walking towards another agent. He fell on the ground. Some agents looked, but didn't care. Silently, he celebrated having done the mind improvement the right way.
