Mystery

(Lucan's head was pounding as he slowly came to as he opened his eyes and looked around at a empty and dull room as he spotted a steel door before he tried to move and quickly realized that he was chained to a wall with extremely thick chains. His first action was to summon his magic to burn it with nothing coming too as he saw the chains glow and he quickly realized they were enchanted with wards to block magic and he tried to remember as everything was blurry before the door opened.)
???: "Good you're awake." (A Tall Woman wearing white walked in as Lucan forced himself to his feet and looked down on her.)
Lucan: "Where the hell am I and who are you?"
???: "As for where you are, that I cannot tell you. But you can call me Primrose Handsome." (Primrose winked at Lucan as she put her hands on her hips and looked him up and down.)
Primrose: "Impressive they were able to get you so easy, you're huge."
Lucan: "Not hard when you sneak attack me."
Primrose: "Not sure it'd have been a fair fight if they just asked you to come, I don't think you'd comply."
Lucan: "What the hell do you want with me?"
Primrose: "We are simply just here to hangout and keep an eye on you, we'd assume no one would miss you."
Lucan: "This is mad, who would want me out of the kingdom." (Lucan's back tensed as he quickly realized who would want this as he became irate and started to tug on the chains as they made lots of noise even somewhat cracking the brick as it turned into nothing as Primrose was still shocked.)
Primrose: "I see you've figured it out, I guess this is where I take my leave. Make sure he doesn't get out of here." (Primrose stood up and pointed at the two guards as they nodded and she disappeared out the door as they followed and it slammed close.)
Lucan (Thinking): "I need to get out of here, I smell danger."

(Back in the Kingdom as Amelia awakes and notices Lucan is missing she looks around when she eventually goes onto the balcony and notices blood on the ground as her eyes go wide and she rushes out in panic and eventually finds Alaric.)
Amelia: "Brother! Lucan is missing and there is blood on our balcony. I think he has been taken."
Alaric: "Damn it! I knew that slimy bastard would try something before long." (Alaric gestured a guard over that was on guard in a hall of the castle as he rushed over.)
Alaric: "Go and alert the military and guard to put together the strongest minds of the kingdom and search parties, The Lord Constable is missing. Also send a man on horse with word to his friends adventuring as well as those who would like to know." (The Guard rushed out as the military was informed and the messenger was sent out as multiple of Lucan's friends were already gathered in the capitol for the upcoming wedding of him and Amelia they were alerted as many were shocked.)
Lord Graves: "What?! Why is that lad always knee deep in shit?"
Leopold: "Unacceptable, who would do such a thing?"
Gwenlyn Spellvine: "Lucan is always in trouble isn't he?"
Volker: "That lad is tougher then a grizzly bear that ate the wrong type of mushrooms, I know he'll find his way back." (They were all shocked and many were worried as no one knew where he was but one marched towards the castle and when stopped by the guards they demanded to meet with the Lord Commander as they were a friend of Lucan and they were quickly let through as they met with Alaric in his office.)

Alaric: "What do you need? I understand you are a friend of his but we must focus all of our efforts on finding him."
???: "Yes my lord please allow me to assist you in this venture, I care deeply for him and my friend here can help find him with his very keen nose." (The person gestured to a man next to them as he had an annoyed expression until Alaric eventually conceded and gave them a shirt of Lucan's to get his scent as they took off on foot to look for him.)
Lucan (Thinking): "I need to figure out a way to get out of here before they decide I'm no longer of use." (Lucan looked around as he attempted to find something to help out as nothing came to mind as he tugged on the chains and felt a little give before standing up and testing his capability of movement before a guard opened the door and walked in and started to undo his chains.)
Guard: "Lady Primrose will see you now."
Lucan: "I don't reckon I'd like to see that woman again."
Guard: "You don't got a choice fool." (The man kept the shackles on Lucan's hands as another guard came along as they grabbed him and led him down a hall and eventually up some stairs before they came to a wooden door that they opened to a room with a fire going where Primrose sat at a table drinking from a wine goblet as she gestured the guards to sit him as they did and flipped his hands forward as there was food sitting on the table with him now sitting across from her.)
Lucan: "What is this some kind of twisted date?"
Primrose: "Maybe it is."

Lucan: "I have a question."
Primrose: "Of course anything."
Lucan: "These shackles limit my magic power and don't allow me to use any correct?"
Primrose: "That's right."
Lucan: "What about my physical ability?"
Primrose: "It doesn't affect your physical ability at all." (Lucan shook his head as Primrose put her drink down and began to eat.)
Primrose: "Go ahead and indulge yourself, its been at least two days since you've eaten." (Lucan looks at the food as he thinks of an idea as he glances around.)
Lucan: "You got any salt?"
Primrose: "One second." (Primrose got up and turned her back to Lucan as she grabbed a salt shaker but as she turned back he was gone as she heard a thud and looked out the window to see Lucan sprinting at full speed away from the hideout.)
Primrose: "WHAT THE HELL?!"
Lucan: "SEE YOU LATER YOU WENCH!" (Lucan disappeared into the woods as he ran at immense speeds with his hands still shackled as Primrose had all the men go out to search for him.)

(Lucan covered immense distances running at speeds reaching that of 35 miles per hour as he eventually gets to a small village and makes his way directly to the blacksmith as he comes up to a large big bellied man as the man was confused.)
Lucan: "Sir can you please break these shackles, I am being chased by kidnappers and I must get out of here as quickly as possible."
Blacksmith: "Of course come here son." (Lucan came over and placed his hands on the anvil as he put a pin them and struck them as they popped off as Lucan was about to run out and quickly spotted a sword as he grabbed it and the sheath as he wrapped it around his waist.)
Lucan: "You'll get payment from the King of Sanguis Oros when this is all done good sir."
Blacksmith: "How can I be sure boy?"
Lucan: "Because in a few weeks, that will be me." (Lucan casted Divine Boots of Swiftness as he was now moving at speeds that exceeded 50 Miles per hour as he ran until his mana ran out and found himself in the wilderness just near the border of Lys-Valois and Sanguis Oros as he made camp and rested quickly falling asleep from injury and fatigue as he slept well next to the fire despite the cold of winter setting in as he then awoke to a noise and drew the sword and went on guard.)
Lucan: "Who's there?"
???: "You don't remember your good friend Lucan Vance?"
Lucan: "Maybe if I could see you." (The figure emerged from the tree line as they stepped into the light and Lucan quickly realized he knew who it was as he sheathed the sword and walked up to hug them.)
Lucan: "Elyndra! I haven't seen you since when I helped you escort those slaves. How have you been?"
Elyndra: "I've been good, and it seems you've been better."
Lucan: "You can say that, are you alone?"
Elyndra: "I am not." (She gestures to come forward as 3 more figures appear from the shadows as he recognized two from his past.)

Lucan: "Leopold its great to see you again, I am grateful that you came to search for me."
Leopold: "Of course, Lord Graves sent me with Lady Elyndra to find you when we heard of your predicament. Didn't expect you to get out, how'd you manage it?"
Lucan: "I jumped out a fourth story window." (A Figure with a hood on stepped forward as Lucan looked at them and they dropped their hood as they spoke.)
Ryota: "Sounds about right, you were always reckless."
Lucan: "Ryota!" (Lucan ran up and they clasped hands as he hugged him as Ryota smiled wide with new armor and in a lot lighter demeanor then before.)
Lucan: "What are you doing here?"
Ryota: "We got the invitation to your wedding, do you expect us not to show for a dear friend?"
Lucan: "Us? Lady Kiyomi is here? How has she been?"
Ryota: "Yes she is here and she's been great, she was greatly upset when she heard of your kidnapping so she had me join these two in your search." (Lucan eyed the last figure, a man with short spikey silver hair dawning dark red leather armor with conniving eyes and a wild smile.)
Lucan: "Who is this Elyndra?"
Elyndra: "This is a dear childhood friend of mine, he's a former thief and a Half-Wild."
Lucan: "I don't see any ears or tails"
Flynn Graves: "I was born without My Lord."
Lucan: "Don't bother with the formal stuff, right now we are all equal."

(As they were all catching up there was rustling from behind them as Elyndra, Leopold and Ryota drew there swords as a tired Lucan looked weary as 3 figures emerged from the shadows and through the brush as one of them runs up and tackles Lucan to the ground and he grunts.)
Lucan: "You guys can drop the swords, I know them."
Astrid: "YOU IDIOT! WHY GO GET YOURSELF KIDNAPPED LIKE THAT? ALSO YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED TO THE PRINCESS OF SANGUIS OROS?!"
Lucan: "It's great to see you too Astrid." (Lucan stood up as he dusted himself off and Astrid crossed her arms as Nyxia and Reya walked up.)
Nyxia: "Hello Lucan, or should I say Your Highness."
Lucan: "Very funny Nyxia, not yet though."
Reya: "Always knew you would end up with someone like the Princess, I just expected it to be As-" (Astrid clasped her hand around Reya's mouth as she blushed and quickly changed the subject.)
Astrid: "As soon as we got word of your kidnapping by messenger we dropped our quest and came to look for you, Reya was using her tracking skills to find you."
Lucan: "I appreciate you guys, is this everyone then?"
???: "Not quite you big idiot." (another figure was walking through the darkness carrying a long axe with a horned helmet on and army clanking in the night as he emerged and it was a Dwarf that Lucan recognized.)
Lucan: "VOLKER?"
Volker: "The One and Only."
Lucan: "What are you doing here Volker?"
Volker: "What kind of best friend and former party member to your father would I be if I let his stupid son go and get himself killed?"
Lucan: "I appreciate you and everyone here for coming for me, Its really not that big of a deal but I appreciate it."

Astrid: "You should know we aren't the only ones that have been worried for you and wanted to go looking, the others stayed back to protect the princess and assist."
Lucan: "Why would they need to do that?" (Everyone avoided eye contact as it got awkward and Lucan got annoyed and demanded to know.)
Lucan: "Someone speak!"
Nyxia: "Lucan, the capitol is under siege by Lys-Valois, there is currently over 10,000 troops positioned outside and they have captured it already pretty much. They took Julian Vane hostage and then eventually the rest, even Cassian and Alaric laid their arms down."
Lucan: "I must get back, I have to save Amelia and her family and the people of the kingdom." (Lucan kicked dirt on the fire as he was about to head out before he felt a hand on his shoulder and looked back at Elyndra.)
Elyndra: "You don't need to do this alone, allow all of us to help."
Lucan: "I don't want anyone else to get hurt, I can deal with this myself."
Ryota: "Don't be a fool, you know you can't do it on your own."
Astrid: "You're not going to get rid of us so we might as well start on our way." (Lucan shook his head but was secretly happy they chose to stand with him as they all started to move at max speed crossing the border and heading straight for the capitol as they closed large distances in only a few hours and was quickly on a hill only a few miles from the Capitol as they were looking and plotting.)
Leopold: "What's the plan Lucan?"
Lucan: "I do not know Leopold."

Elyndra: "It would be nice if we had an inside man, they have The Prince, The Cinder Trinity and their 5 Elites. We have the numbers but no way to get to them." (Lucan's head perked up as he realized that they did have a way to get in and he quickly smirked.)
Lucan: "We do have an inside man, someone they wouldn't recognize as a friend of mine because no one knows him." (Astrid, Nyxia and Reya laughed as they realized who it was as Lucan closed his eyes and focused on the link he still shares with Xylos as he projected his voice to his mind.)
Lucan: "Xylos can you hear me??"
Xylos: "Yes I can, its about damn time you oaf."
Lucan: "Nice to hear from you too friend, have you gathered all my remaining friends and the strongest in the kingdom?"
Xylos: "You know I did, I started to put the plan into action as soon as you went missing."
Lucan: "I take it Captain Jerek and Gwenlyn made it into the capitol and are there with you?"
Xylos: "Yes, along with Kaelith and a few of the best swordsman and mages in the Capitol."
Lucan: "Good, I am very fatigued and tired so I am going to need Gwenlyn to help me so go ahead and alert her. I have everyone else with me and we will be meeting up soon, stay put and meet at the Guard station in the slums."
Xylos: "Alright see you there." (Lucan opened his eyes as he stood up and had everyone gather as he focused his mind and mana as he was about to cast a long distance spell.)

Lucan: "Everyone ready?"
Everyone: "Yes!" (Lucan closed his eyes one again and in an instant they were transported with his teleportation spell to the guard station as Xylos and the others were there as Xylos walked up to Lucan and presented his armor as he got ready and Gwenlyn used a spell to cure his fatigue and concussion as he dawned his new sigil of House Vance that had just been put into order as he had a stallion pommeled sword on his hip and black armor with gold outline and two silver stallions on his chest plate.)
Lucan: "Listen everyone I want you to know that I appreciate that you're standing with me and choosing to fight on my behalf even though I haven't seen you in some time, we will not have an easy time out there but I know we can win this not just for me but for the people of this Kingdom and for its future. This is about more then just my love and the family, it is about the survival of the people and the future of the children and we will secure that even if it costs us our lives and if you choose not to take this risk no one will judge you, but take your leave now." (Lucan paused as he waited for people to step back and resulted in no one doing so as he smiled and continued on.)
Lucan: "I don't know what is going to happen or if we can truly win, but mark my words if we win today It will be an amazing victory. We have a lot on our shoulders today but that doesn't mean we will buckle, NO WE WILL STAND because it doesn't matter what happens at the end of the day we are WARRIORS and we will not stand down. I will lead you to victory if it means my life and I will make sure you all go homes to your family to the best of my ability, they slaughtered people to get here and played dirty so we don't owe them honor, we OWE THEM DEATH. When this is said and done I will reward you all greatly with a GREAT FEAST, WE WILL NOT BE MEETING OUR ANCESTORS TODAY BUT ENSURING THE FUTURE FOR OUR DESCENDENTS, NOW LETS GO AND DESTROY THESE BASTARDS!" (Lucan raised his sword as he screamed and they all screamed with him as they ran out and began to battle against the soldiers that are guarding the streets just in case as they cut their way to the castle and struggle but continue to push on.)
