14-Board Game

Chi-chan was lying on the floor, trying to balance a spoon on her nose. Poko was counting the ceiling tiles.

Chi-chan: "I’m bored. I want to conquer a nation...Or at least break something."

Rinka: "If you are bored, I found this in the basement."

Rinka placed a dusty, board game on the table. The box was black wood.

Poko: "Oooh! A board game! Is it fun? Do we win money?"

Rinka: "The instructions say: 'Reach the goal to have your wish granted. Fail, and face the punishment.'"

Chi-chan: "A wish?! I can wish for world domination! I play first!"

Rinka: "Fine. But be warned... this game takes its rules literally."

Chi-chan grabbed the dice. They were made of bone.

Chi-chan: "COME ON, BIG MONEY!"

Roll. (1).

Chi-chan’s piece moved one square.
Square Text: "You tripped on a rock. Lose 1 Dignity Point."

Chi-chan: "Hah? What is a Dignity Point? That’s not rea—"

Suddenly, an invisible force flicked Chi-chan’s forehead.
THWACK.

Chi-chan: "Ouch! Who did that?!"

Then, her pants fell down.

Chi-chan: "GYAAAAH! MY BLOOMERS! WHY?!"

Rinka: "Hehe...You just lost your dignity. Game looks legit now pull your pants up, it’s Poko’s turn."

Poko shook the dice violently.
Poko: "I’m gonna win! Dice Roll!"

Roll. Six (6).

Poko’s piece moved to a green square.
Square Text: "You feel heavy. Transformation Roulette: HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE."

Poko: "Eh?"

POOF.

Smoke exploded. Poko vanished.
In her place sat a Giant Porcelain Toilet. It had raccoon ears on the tank lid.

Poko (Toilet Form): "Oh no! Not the toilet! I feel so empty inside!"

Chi-chan: "Get away from me! Don't flush! Keep the lid down!"

Baku-chan: (Waking up) "Oh, a new bathroom..."
(Baku-chan walked toward Poko).

Poko (Toilet Form): "NO! DON'T SIT ON ME, BAKU-CHAN!"

Chi-chan: "My turn! I need a good roll to escape this madness!"

Roll. Five (5).

Chi-chan’s piece landed on a red skull square.
Square Text: "BOSS BATTLE. Defeat the Enemy to proceed."

Chi-chan: "Finally! Combat! I will destroy whatever appears!"

The room darkened. Lightning flashed from the game board.
Smoke swirled in the center of the room.
A terrifying monster appeared.

It was... A Regular Goose.

Chi-chan: "A duck?"

Rinka: "It’s a Goose. They are nature’s assholes."

Goose: "HONK."

Chi-chan: "Pathetic! Observe my Tiger Claw!"

Chi-chan lunged at the Goose.
The Goose dodged with ninja speed. It grabbed (Hebi-o) with its beak.

Hebi-o: "OW! BOSSS!"

The Goose started beating Chi-chan with its wings. FLAP-FLAP-FLAP-FLAP.
It was a flurry of white feathers and violence.

Chi-chan: "GYAHHH !! IT’S STRONG! IT’S LEVEL 99! HELP! IT’S BITING MY EARS!"

Poko (Toilet Form): "Flush it! Drag it over here and I’ll flush it!"

Chi-chan: "I CAN'T! IT HAS ME IN A HEADLOCK!"

Rinka picked up the dice calmly ignoring Chi-chan fighting for her life against the goose.

Roll. Ten (10).

Rinka’s piece moved near the end.
Square Text: "The Wealthy Landowner. Collect taxes from 2 players."

Rinka: "I like this game."

Rinka looked at Chi-chan (who was currently being pinned to the floor by the Goose).

Rinka: "Chi-chan. Poko. Pay up. 5,000 yen each."

Chi-chan: "HUH? LIKE HELL!"

Rinka: "The rules are absolute."

Rinka reached into Chi-chan’s pocket (while Chi-chan was being pecked) and took her emergency snack money.
Then she walked over to the Poko-Toilet and lifted the lid. She found a stash of coins hidden inside the tank.

Poko (Toilet Form): "Hey! That’s my retirement fund!"

[The Climax: The Goal]

Baku-chan picked up the dice. She was half-asleep.

Roll. Critical Hit.

Baku-chan’s piece slid all the way to the GOAL.

Board Voice: "CONGRATULATIONS. PLAYER 4 HAS WON. STATE YOUR WISH."

Chi-chan: "NO! Baku-chan! Wish for money! Wish for power!"

Goose: "HONK." (Pecks Chi-chan forehead).

Baku-chan: "Hnngh... I wish..."

The room fell silent. Even the Goose stopped honking. Poko (Toilet) held her breath.

Baku-chan: "...I wish for a softer pillow."

FLASH.

The game board exploded into light.
The Goose vanished.
Poko turned back into a human (naked, holding a toilet brush).
Chi-chan collapsed, covered in feathers.

And in Baku-chan’s hands... a super-fluffy, high-quality marshmallow pillow appeared.

Baku-chan: "YAYYYY."
(She immediately dropped to the floor and fell asleep).

Chi-chan: "SHE WASTED IT! SHE WASTED THE GOD WISH!"

Rinka: (Counting the money she stole from them) "Game over. Same time next week?"

Chi-chan: "NEVER AGAIN! I HATE BOARD GAMES!"
