Chapter 1:

Chapter 1 — The Shop’s Address

Lucky's Journey: The Promise We Made

A crowded road. People waited on the sidewalk for the traffic light to turn red.Cars rushed by. Noise everywhere.
Among the crowd stood a boy—quiet, still, motionless.
When the light turned red, everyone crossed the road together.
He didn’t move.He only stared for a moment… then slowly started walking.
“My name is Lucky,” he said in his head. “I’m a high schooler. Sixteen years old. Everything looks normal, doesn’t it? But the reality is something else.”
He walked silently toward his school.
The narrator spoke:
“The world has no limit of imagination. The world has no limit of surprises. There are things people don’t believe… but they exist. And this boy—Lucky—is the main character of our story.Sit quietly, and watch how everything unfolds.”

---
Lucky reached his school. He walked to his classroom and stepped inside.
His classmates were laughing and talking loudly.
“Did you see yesterday’s news?” one said.“That house fire! People said some invisible thing was attacking!”“Hahaha! How can something invisible kill people? What a stupid lie!”
They kept laughing.
Lucky watched silently from the door.
When they noticed him, they waved.“Oh, Lucky! You saw that news, right? Total nonsense, isn’t it?”
Lucky responded quietly,“Who knows… maybe it could be real.”
He walked to his seat and sat down without another word.
One boy whispered loudly,“This guy is such a weirdo. He never smiles. He doesn’t talk to anyone…He just sits alone like the world isn’t even moving around him.”
Lucky ignored them.
Inside his mind, he thought:
“Yeah… they’re right.I don’t talk to people.I don’t have friends.”
He looked down at his desk.
“I lost my parents when I was very young.I don’t even remember their faces clearly…But I remember that day.The day they died.”
His eyes grew darker.
“And from that day on… I started seeing things that no one else could see.Things no one can sense.Things no one can touch.People walk right through them.”
He turned his head and looked outside.
Standing near a hallway window…A translucent, invisible human-shaped figure floated silently.
Invisible to everyone.
Except him.
Lucky whispered in his thoughts:
“I don’t know what they are.Spirits? Energy?I don’t know.”
The narrator added:
“Lucky has a strange ability. He can see spirits. What these spirits are… even he doesn’t know.”

---
The teacher entered the room.Class began.
Hours passed.
School finally ended, and everyone packed their bags and left.
Lucky packed his bag slowly and walked out of the building.

---
On the road home, a man ran past him, holding a bunch of pamphlets.
He shoved one into Lucky’s hand without stopping, then ran off.
Lucky looked at it.
“Just a grocery shop…?”It had an address and the shop number.
He didn’t think anything of it and kept walking.
As he walked, he saw more spirit-like figures near the corners of buildings, drifting like shadows no one else noticed.
“Why do I have this power…” he thought.“I can’t tell anyone. No one would believe me.”
When he reached home, he tossed the pamphlet on his desk.
But something caught his eye.
A small barcode on the corner.
Curious, he scanned it with his phone.
A video opened.
On the screen, a man wearing a mask appeared.
“I know,” the masked man said, “that you can see things others can’t.People roaming around…No one else can see them, can they?”
Lucky froze.
The voice continued:
“I know what you are.I know what you see.Come to the address on that paper.I will help you.”
The video ended.
Lucky stared in shock.
“What… is this?Who is he?How does he know?”
But deep inside, he felt something else too—the first time he wasn’t alone.
He grabbed his jacket, put on his shoes, picked up the pamphlet, and hurried out of his house.
He reached the shop.Stood outside the door.
His hand reached forward to open it—
And at that moment…
The chapter 1 ended.
