A Baby With The Powers Of A Superhuman Kid

South Korea – Seoul – Police Station

A circular ripple split the air in front of the station, bending light before unfolding into a glowing portal. Kira and Decibolt stepped through, their boots tapping against the pavement as the portal sealed behind them.

"The distress call said to meet them at the South Korean police station," Decibolt said, scanning the area.

"There they are," Kira replied.

Two police officers hurried toward them with a mix of relief and urgency written across their faces.

"Oh, you're here," one officer said.

Decibolt crossed his arms. "Why did you call us?"

"Some kid is terrorizing our city," the second officer answered. "We heard you were powerful superheroes, so we called you."

"It could be a summon," Kira said. "Where is it?"

"We'll take you there," the officer said, motioning them toward the patrol car.

They piled in, and the cruiser sped through Seoul's bustling streets. Neon signs reflected off glass towers as they approached the scene of destruction.

When they arrived, the source stood in the middle of the ruined street: a toddler wearing an unbuttoned white sweater jacket over a pink T-shirt with a star. A white mask covered her eyes. Chunks of pavement and crushed vehicles surrounded her like discarded toys.

"We'll take it from here," Decibolt said, stepping forward.

"She's definitely a summon," Kira assessed. "Category EPA. Combat power: 624."

Decibolt frowned. "This baby is tough."

The small summon turned sharply toward them.

"Did you just say Baby! I'm not a baby; I'm Kid Baby!"

"Kid Baby? That's a terrible—" Decibolt began.

She shot forward in a blur, and her fist smashed into his chest. The impact hurled him across the street.

Kira braced herself. "Wow... you really are strong."

"I'm the strongest there is!" Kid Baby shouted.

She launched a flurry of punches. Kira raised her arms, blocking each strike as sparks of kinetic force rippled around them.

"Full-body repulsion!" Kira shouted.

A burst of energy exploded outward, blasting Kid Baby back. The toddler tumbled through the air but caught herself effortlessly.

"Urgh, you're mean! I don't like mean people!"

She drove her fist into the pavement. A shockwave ripped through the ground, knocking Kira off balance. Kid Baby rocketed upward and uppercut her skyward.

"Why did you stop your destruction?" a voice shouted.

The summoner stepped forward, furious.

"Those guys were mean to me!" Kid Baby complained.

"Oh, you're here," the summoner snapped at the heroes. "I heard you hunt shards. Well, you won't get mine. Finish them!"

Kid Baby shot toward them but stopped mid-flight when she saw both heroes standing again.

"You can still stand? You must be tough!"

Decibolt wiped dirt from his jaw. "Don't think we'll go down that easily."

He launched sonic discs. Kid Baby weaved through them, closed the distance, and hammered his gut repeatedly until he skidded across the ground. Kira charged in, but Kid Baby spun, kicked her aside, grabbed them both by the arms, and soared skyward.

"Hope you're not afraid of heights," she said sweetly.

She let go.

"You're not falling fast enough!"

She dove after them, caught their arms again, and slammed them both into the ground hard enough to crack the pavement.

"Told you I was the strongest there is," she said proudly.

As she floated away, Decibolt vanished in a streak.

"Sonic step!"

He reappeared beside her, fists and feet slamming into her midair. Kira darted in behind him.

"Kinetic punch barrage!"

Her rapid strikes followed Decibolt's, driving Kid Baby into the ground with enough force to crater the street.

Kid Baby sat up, pouting. "Two against one isn't fair... but I can fix that."

She held up a pristine white teddy bear with marble eyes and a stitched smile.

"Teddy Samma, come to life!"

The toy blinked. Then it rose to its feet.

"Mistress, why have you summoned me?"

"These guys weren't playing nice," Kid Baby said.

"Then we shall give them a fine pummeling," Teddy Samma replied calmly.

Metal claws extended from his paws. He lunged at Decibolt immediately, slashing and kicking him to the ground.

"Are you really going to let a stuffed animal beat you around like that?" Kira taunted.

Teddy Samma turned toward her. With a single leap, he struck her downward into the ground.

"I'm surprised these weaklings gave you trouble, Mistress," he said.

Kid Baby crossed her arms smugly. "Wait for it."

The heroes pushed themselves back up.

Teddy Samma nodded. "Stronger than anticipated. We'll need our combined strength."

Kid Baby shot toward Kira. Teddy Samma dashed toward Decibolt.

Decibolt's Side

"I'll rip you apart, teddy bear!" Decibolt shouted.

He fired six sonic blasts.

"I'm no mere stuffed animal," Teddy Samma said, weaving through them with fluid precision. "I'm a martial arts and ninjutsu master."

He struck Decibolt with a rapid sequence—punches, kicks, chops—forcing him back. One strike cracked beside Decibolt's jaw.

"Many have underestimated me... but all have fallen."

Decibolt wiped blood from his mouth. "You may have been a legend in your fictional world, but this is the real world—where everyone falls by my hands."

"Deci Cannon!"

The blast smashed Teddy Samma into the ground. Decibolt grabbed his leg and slammed him repeatedly into the pavement before throwing him aside.

Teddy Samma stood, dust rolling off him. "It may look like I'm smiling, but I'm very angry."

He vanished—then reappeared behind Decibolt, hitting him with a crushing blow before grabbing him and flinging him into a wall.

"Sonic Blast!"

A shockwave burst from Decibolt's mouth, blasting Teddy backward.

"Sonic Storm!"

Dozens of concentrated sonic bursts followed, but Teddy Samma sliced through them with his claws and kicked Decibolt back into the wall, leaving fractures through the brick.

Kira's Side

"While Teddy Samma takes care of your friend," Kid Baby chirped, "I'll beat you up!"

She fired a punch. Kira blocked.

"You can't beat me," Kira said.

She countered, but Kid Baby slipped aside effortlessly. Kira triggered a full-body repulsion, sending her spiraling through the air.

"Sure I can!" Kid Baby shouted. "I just need to crank up the speed!"

She blurred around Kira, striking from multiple angles, then uppercut her skyward.

"Can your speed match this?" Kira shouted, firing forward.

Kid Baby dodged every hit.

"You call that an attack? Let me show you how it's done!"

She circled Kira at blinding speed, forming a spiraling air column.

"The air wave from my speed won't let you move—so don't even try!"

She pummeled Kira repeatedly inside the swirling trap.

"You're not a great fighter," Kira growled through gritted teeth. "You're just some baby."

"I am not a baby!"

A powerful kick launched Kira out of the vortex.

"I have the powers of a superhuman kid! I am Kid Baby!"

She charged.

"Gravitational Kinesis Attack I—Gravity Enhance!" Kira shouted.

The beam crushed Kid Baby to the ground.

"This won't stop me. I've played catch with the actual moon!" Kid Baby yelled, forcing her way up.

"Impressive," Kira said. "Maybe next time, try the sun, baby."

She slammed Kid Baby down again. The toddler rose with fury burning in her voice.

"I have the powers of a superhuman kid—get it through your skull!"

She tackled Kira to the ground and unleashed a rapid series of punches.

Teddy Samma stood beside Kid Baby.

"You're done with yours as well," Teddy said. "They were tough, but we were better."

A sonic pulse and kinetic barrage smashed into both summons, hurling them back.

"How can you still stand?" Kid Baby asked, shocked.

"Maybe try hitting harder," Decibolt said.

"This grows tiresome," Teddy Samma muttered.

"Then it's time for combo moves," Kid Baby said.

"Sounds like a fine plan."

She punched the pavement. Shockwaves launched Kira and Decibolt upward.

"Teddy Samma—time to fly!"

Teddy leapt and Kid Baby hurled him like a missile. He collided with Decibolt midair, and the two exchanged rapid strikes.

Decibolt overpowered him.

"The teddy bear said something meaningful," he said. "This grows tiresome. It ends now."

"Supersonic Decibolt!"

Energy enveloped him. He grabbed Kid Baby, leapt off sonic platforms, and rocketed upward.

"Let's see how you like crashing down!"

He smashed her into the ground.

"Kinetic punch barrage!" Kira shouted.

She struck Teddy Samma repeatedly, followed by three spinning kicks and a devastating full-body repulsion that sent him flying. She grabbed him midair as Decibolt held Kid Baby, and together they smashed the two summons into each other.

The summoner screamed, "What are you doing?! You're letting them win, you baby!"

Kid Baby froze.

"Did you just call me a baby?!"

She charged at him.

"Stop it right now!" he shouted, clutching the shard.

Kid Baby froze midair.

"Finish the job!"

"Teddy Samma—Vortex, now!"

"With pleasure, Mistress."

They spun at high speed, forming a vortex that trapped Kira and Decibolt.

"Use your ripple portals!" Kira yelled.

"The wind's too strong!" Decibolt shouted. "Try your cyclone!"

"I can't move my hands!"

"There's no escaping the ultimate Vortex!" Kid Baby taunted.

"I wouldn't call it 'ultimate' since it's made by a baby," Kira said.

"A full-grown fighter would've done better," Decibolt added. "You're just a baby."

"Don't listen to them, Mistress!" Teddy warned. "They're provoking—"

"Just a big baby and her stuffed bear," Kira said.

"Maybe she needs a diaper change," Decibolt added. "We can get one for the bear too."

"Enough!" Kid Baby screamed.

Even I can ignore such insolence, Teddy Samma said

The vortex collapsed, dropping the heroes.

"Sonic Barrier!" Decibolt shouted, blocking the final strikes of the two.

Kira shot toward the summoner.

"What—what are you doing?!" he yelped.

Her fist struck his jaw, knocking him unconscious. She snatched the shard.

"I release you from your existence."

Kid Baby and Teddy Samma dissolved into yellow smoke.

Kira knelt by the summoner's body. "This guy has four more shards on him."

She lifted them and dropped them in the small portal.

Two officers sprinted over.

"Wow, you guys are as good as the stories say—if not better!" one said.

"We trust you can handle the cleanup," Decibolt replied.

He opened a ripple portal. The two heroes stepped through as the world folded behind them.

"You forgot to ask for an autograph!" the second officer shouted.
