Chapter 1

Pecho was comfortably reading a book when he heard his name being shouted out. He kept on hearing his name being called over and over again from two different guys, but he dared not to make a sound.

“ Pecho, where are you?!” One of the guys shouted.

“ Man, he is never around when you need him. We’ve looked everywhere ” The other guy said, moaning.

“Hopefully he is here, in his favorite hiding spot.”

The two guys walked towards a well to peer into it, but they saw nothing.

“ Looks like he is not here, either, Timmy.”

Timmy scanned in the well, looking for any sign movements, but the only sound he could hear was from his own voice. He sighed.

“ This is so annoying,” He says as he frustratingly throws a brick into the well, but just as they were making their leave, they hear some faint sobs coming from the well. They quickly looked back into the well, and despite the dim light, they could see a green-toadlike creature grabbing his head in agony.

“Pecho!” they shouted.

Pecho, clutching the bump on his head and tears rolling down his eyes, looked up towards an angry pair of eyes.

“ There you are. Dim and I have been looking all over for you. Why haven’t you responded?” Timmy angrily asked, his voice verberating in the well.

“ Sorry… I was…. Um…. sound asleep,” he nervously replied. Timmy saw Pecho move something behind his back, but he didn't question it.

“ Well, the boss has called for you.”

“ The boss?”

“ Yeah, he said he really needs you for this mission, so hurry up and get a move on, we don’t have all day.”

Pecho gulped nervously, knowing that whatever the boss needs him to do, it won’t be fun for him.

Pecho could feel the piercing eyes of Timmy and Dim as they followed him through an underground swamp. As they traverse through the cold water, Pecho sees many of his crewmates just frolicking around and as he watches, his mind feeds him the same thought, that he is not the same them no matter how much he wishes. Soon, they reach inside the hut of the boss, where as always, his loud snoring echoed all throughout the swamp.

“ Boss, he’s here.” Timmy said.

“Boss?”

Laid down in front of Timmy is a massive body, one so large that it nearly encompasses the entire room, and despite them sharing the same race, Timmy has always felt his boss was from a different race. He’s a big, reptilian creature with blue scales spread across all over his body and a pot belly that bulges as he snores. Compared to him, Timmy felt like an ant.

“C’mon, boss, it’s time to wake up” Timmy whines.

“Time to wake up boss,” Dim said, throwing a hot red pepper in his razor sharp snoring snout. The boss gulped it down and woke up screaming

“HOT! HOT! HOT!” His loud screams echo throughout the swamp.

“WHO GOES THERE?!” He bellows.

“Chill boss, it’s us. We got Pecho just like you asked.” Timmy said while pointing at Pecho. The boss looks down.

“Ah, there you are, Pecho.”

“ You called, Captain Krunch?” Pecho nervously asked.

“ Yes, there is something that I need you to get for me.” Captain Krunch replies. He gets up from the floor and perches himself on his massive chair.

“Alright, thanks to our spies, we have recently just found out that the Clipans have recently unearthed a very rare mineral called the Titan’s Core.”

Pecho nervously looked at his captain in wide eye shock, as his captain would explain the plan to him.

“ The Titan’s Core?” he asked nervously.

“ Yes, It’s a powerful energy source that lasts for a long time and it can empower anything . It is highly coveted , and every time one is found, the Clipans always sell it for a high price, which is what they are doing today, offering it up to the highest bidder at the auction house.”

“ So what do you want me to do?” Pecho nervously asked.

“ Steal it, of course. One of our clients is paying a hefty sum for it.” Captain Krunch replies while grinning, but Pecho's face goes pale.

“ So you…. Really ... .ummm… want me to go up to the surface?” Pecho stammered. Captain Krunch glared at him.

“Of course”

“ Wi…wi… with all their security?”

“Yes, what’s the problem, man, you have the ability to turn invisible, so this shouldn’t be an issue for you.”

“ But what if I fail to get it?”

Captain Krunch chuckles.

“Well, you already know what's going to happen. Hagatha hasn’t been fed in a while.” Captain Krunch responded. Pecho gulped, knowing that if he slips up, he would be lunch meat.

“Ok, but what about the security?”

“ Don’t worry, that's where this comes in.”

Captain Krunch hands over a cylinder-housing box to Pecho.

That’s sleeping gas, Pecho thought.

“This is the plan. Everyone else is going to cause a commotion, while you, Pecho, will sneak in using your invisibility and take the Titan Core from right under their noses. Sounds pretty simple, right?”

Pecho slowly nodded.

“Ok, and if anything goes south, I’m still here. I’ve been ruling the galaxy ever since I was a young boy and there’s nothing out there that has ever been able to beat me!”

Pecho nods his head in agreement. He has seen the terrifying strength of his captain to those that cross him.

“ Alright, I guess I better get going then.” Pecho says

“Good.” Captain Krunch replies, smiling wickedly.
