GYAKKUSETSU: CHAPTER 1-PARADOXES CAN BE RECONCILED

*The school bell can be heard ringing...The last period is over, not a single student of Schrödinger High can be seen in their seats, most use this chance to run off to their houses, but a few stay behind, for school clubs, or are they? *

 In the class of 10-X, no one else other than the only member of the science club...The "Science Club President" Seyran can be seen, who is hurriedly packing his bag. He dashes to the lonely science lab, where he meets his best friend Irzian, who isn't a member of the science club, but just hangs out with Seyran as Irzian's mother would beat him black and blue if he was caught gaming in his house. So, he just acts as if he does something in the science club to play video games in the lab, especially his favourite game, Super Mario 64, which came out only a few years ago.

Seyran is welcomed by Irzian who is seemingly preparing to drop kick him. As Irzian attempts to jump, he slips on a spilt yellow liquid from a test tube which had fallen nearby. Irzian falls with a loud thud. Hearing the noise, Seyran turns his head towards Irzian who fell down face first beside the spillage.

 Seyran immediately bursts out in laughter, "What did you even try to do Irzian....anyways I recommend you get up quick before the spillage gets onto you."

Irzian seemingly disappointed says, " Its nothing, you just got really luck there mate.Ah shit! The yellow stuff got onto me bro! What even is this? "

Seyran replies, " BEHOLD! CAT PISS!  "...Irzian's expression quickly turned into that of UTTER disgust, "Why on earth would you have CAT PISS in a lab? ARE YOU INSANE????"  says Irzian who gets up quickly with puking agitations.

"A cat is said to have nine lives, correct?", Seyran says, Irzian can be hearing shouting in the back "BRO MY SHIRT REEKS OF CAT PISS NOW!".

"How did they come up with the notion that cats had multiple lives, even if so, why nine lives, why not two or three? If Egyptian mythology was the reason it was nine, Cats must have some significance to even be thought of having such abilities, which was probably witnessed by the Egyptians...In this lab! I shall win the Nobel Prize for uncovering the age-old secret!" Seyran proudly scoffs to himself.

His calc level thinking was briefly cut off by a bold voice, seemingly a woman's voice. Seyran recognizes the voice to be the School President , Lin Aizawa.

"The two of you. Pack up quickly and leave, the principal insisted on closing school grounds early today.", Lin turns her head towards Irzian "Oi! You! Irzian,If I catch you around school quarters, which I know you plan to stay back because its only 5 pm and you can't play games at home! You know what happens! ", she says this as she stares at Irzian's horrified face, chuckling a bit and abruptly turns and leaves to check out other classrooms.

Irzian immediately tugs on Seyran's shirt and says in a whispering tone,"Yo bro Seyran! Lets get out of this place as soon as possible bro.That stupid bitch snitched on me and told my mom I was hanging out with my friends playing video games.My birthgiver did not even show the slightest sign of mercy and whooped my ass red bro like dead'ass'! I'm sure she's plotting to snitch on me again just for me to get beatings bro,such a sadist she is I tell yah!".

Seyran laughs upon hearing this, he then settles down and asks Irzian to go on without him as he has to clean up the mess in the lab. Irzian hesitates, but decides to go home and do his school work and says that he'd call Seyran at 7,as Irzian is unemployed and has nothing better to do.

Seyran walks back into the lab and begins sweeping the glass bits of the shattered test tube off the floor and the cat piss without any expression of disgust as his mind is concentrated on only the reason why the valuable substance he had obtained after catching a stray cat which immediately pissed itself, had spilt on the ground.

While cleaning the mess, he notices scratch marks under the table where the test tube was placed in a holder. He reaches his hands out under the table to drag out a medium-sized box with a hooked lock. Unfastening the hooks, Seyran sees the stray cat that he had locked inside the box weeks ago still alive.

He calmly puts his hands around the cat and lifts it up, looking at it with curious eyes. The cat licks its matte black fur and paws, briefly staring into Seyran's soul with it's captivating green eyes. Seyran sits down on the floor and puts the cat on his laps, petting it whilst whispering "I don't know what kind of cat you are, but I do know, you are the reason Egyptians claim for cats to have nine lives. I will soon find out the truth about you! This will mark a new step towards understanding the universe...You will be the key to the fourth dimension, where parallel lines meet, where paradoxes can be reconciled..."

The cat frees itself from Seyran's hands and goes to the window and then leaps off. Seyran calmly walks towards the window and looks out, seeing the cat disappear into the streets. He looks at the sky and sees that the sun is about to set, he then turns around and closes the box and put it back under the table.

Seyran says to himself, "The cat ran off, it was undoubtedly full of life...yet...I know that tomorrow I'll find it lying dead on the park. God Damit! How does that even work, how does the cat get revived when I put it into the box." Regaining the thoughts on what he has to do, Seyran walks out of the lab and looks at the wall clock, showing the time 5:59 PM before closing the door.

He makes his way through the corridors silently in hopes of not being spotted by President Aizawa. As he goes down the stairs he hears faint sounds of weeping, similar to that of a girl he knew. He quickly made his way to the source of the sound, seeing a girl crying inside an empty classroom which used to the occult club room. He recognizes the girl to be his classmate, Mitski Daidaro...
