Chapter 15:

Chapter 15 : Sister's Awakening (Contract Power Goes Wild)

Forest Contract

The night was deep, the forest gleaming a cold blue under the moonlight.

Chen Ye crouched in the woods, a Type 56 semi-automatic rifle resting across his lap, a hunting rifle and a pistol gripped tightly.

The three brothers stood guard on either side, their eyes alert.

The air was thick with the smell of gunpowder, damp earth, and an indescribable oppression—the system warning hadn't subsided.

The black market members silently infiltrated the forest, clearly more cautious after yesterday's terror.

But they underestimated—the power of their sister.

Chen Xue crouched behind a bush, her fingers touching the ground, her eyes fixed on the forest.

Her breathing was steady, her entire being seemingly one with the forest air.

Suddenly, she sensed a strong wave of threat—the black market boss was attempting to flank the forest.

Her body moved instinctively, her fingers lightly touching the soil.

The next second, the air in the forest vibrated violently.

Fallen leaves, soil, and branches shifted violently at her will, forming a whirlwind that swept three black market members into the air, throwing them several meters away.

Chen Ye froze—this wasn't passive resonance, nor was it under his control.

It was his sister's active release of contractual power.

"Xue!" Chen Ye whispered, rushing to protect her, but the moment he moved, the surrounding space distorted.

Branches coiled like snakes, fallen leaves spun like blades, and the black market members screamed in terror, unable to get close.

Chen Xue's eyes brightened slightly, and she whispered, "Brother, I...I can...control them!"

She pointed, and the ground beneath the black market leader's feet suddenly cracked, startling him into jumping back.

Then, she whispered again, and the wind in the forest swirled violently, blowing the other two black market members back several meters.

Chen Ye's face darkened.

This was no longer simple assistance or passive perception; his sister had fully awakened her contractual power.

Moreover, she was untrained, and the rampage of her power brought unpredictable dangers.

Whirling leaves, colliding branches, churning soil—even Chen Ye felt the boundaries of space tremble slightly, as if it could spiral out of control at any moment.

“Back off! Protect yourselves!” he shouted, simultaneously suppressing his domain energy with all his might.

But his sister seemed unable to fully control it; the power grew stronger with each use.

The black market members were almost paralyzed with fear, the sound of the whirlwinds deafening.

Chen Xue's figure floated slightly, her fingers moving, the forest environment seemingly manipulated by her will, forming a semi-autonomous contracted battlefield.

Chen Ye instinctively stepped in front of his sister, cold sweat trickling down his forehead.

“Xue, stop! You can't control it—!”

But her eyes were resolute, as if she had become one with the power.

“Brother, I…I can protect everyone!”

The air was filled with the smell of metal and earth, the trees in the forest were whipped up, forming a natural barrier.

The black market boss's face paled with terror; he finally understood—this 16-year-old girl had already mastered a contractual power beyond reason.

"Retreat!" Chen Ye roared.

He couldn't completely suppress his sister's power, so he could only use the spatial boundary to force the black market forces back out of the forest.

A few minutes later, the forest gradually calmed down, the lingering tremors still echoing in the air.

His sister knelt on the ground, breathing rapidly, sweat streaming down her face, her fingers trembling.

Chen Ye stepped forward and supported her: "Xue...are you alright?"

She looked up, her eyes shining: "Brother...I can...protect everyone."

Chen Ye closed his eyes, knowing full well—her power had awakened, but it was too strong, too dangerous.

If not controlled properly, not only enemies, but even his own family could be harmed.

In the distance, the space of the forest continued to tremble slightly, as if responding to his sister's will, or perhaps suggesting—this was only the beginning.
