Chapter 21:
Forest Contract
Sunlight filtered through the locust tree leaves, dappling the forest floor as the morning mist gradually dissipated.
The air was crisp and clean; fallen leaves rustled gently in the breeze, as if whispering secrets—after countless brushes with death, this forest had finally returned to tranquility.
Chen Ye stood in a clearing, a hunting rifle slung over his shoulder, his gaze fixed on the winding mountain path in the distance.
His younger sister, Chen Xue, stood beside him, her hands clasped lightly; the power of their contract had completely merged with her will and body, leaving her calm and serene.
The three brothers stood on either side, their eyes reflecting both relaxation and vigilance—a natural state after countless crises.
Father Chen Jianguo emerged from the house, hunting knife in hand, his gaze sweeping across the woods. "Very good. You've all learned to coexist with power, instead of being led by it."
Chen Ye nodded. "Dad, we understand. No matter what challenges lie ahead, we will protect our family and this space."
His younger sister smiled gently, her eyes shining with determination. "Brother, I will control my power and protect everyone."
Father's gaze softened. "You've mastered the power of the contract, and you've mastered the rhythm. This is the new order—power and will coexist, and family and partners are the most important bottom line."
In the woods, the system entered a silent state, no longer frequently prompting or actively interfering.
The space and the power of the contract were completely stable, becoming an integral part of Chen Ye's family's life—both a protective barrier and an extension of the family's mutual trust and understanding.
Chen Ye took a deep breath, raised his hand to touch the ground, and sensed the subtle vibrations of the earth.
He smiled, a sense of peace filling his heart: "No matter if the black market or other forces come again, we are confident we can handle it. Because we not only have power, but we also have each other."
His sister gripped his hand tightly, feeling her brother's warmth and the steady fluctuations of her own contracted power.
She knew that power was no longer just a source of danger, but a new order protecting their family and the space.
The three brothers looked at each other, their faces relaxed.
Through countless battles and extreme trials, they had not only grown into true hunters, but also learned the wisdom to coexist with their contracted power and the space.
The distant forest glowed a warm green in the morning light, a gentle breeze rustling the leaves, birdsong rising, as if celebrating the new order for the forest.
Chen Ye said softly, "Family, friends, space—everything has returned to peace, but our protection will not cease."
His sister nodded gently: "This new order is what we built together with our will and power."
The forest was tranquil and full of hope; the contracted power was completely under the control of their will, and the space had returned to its natural rhythm.
At this moment, the trials on the brink of life and death are over, and the future unfolds slowly in their hands—this is a new era of coexistence between hunters and the power of contracts, a new order belonging to Chen Ye's family, the three brothers, and the entire space.
