The Beginning of the End

"No way? Could they be?" Freya breaks the silence. "Skoll and Hati, The Children of Fenrir, Loki's grandsons" Tyr answers. The wolves circle around the world, Skoll chasing the Sun, and Hati chasing the moon. "WE NEED TO STOP THEM" Heimdall screams out loud. "THEY ALMOST CAUGHT UP TO SOL AND MANI, QUICK THOR, STRIKE THEM DOWN WITH MJOLNIR". Thor stares blankly at the wolves, then looks down at his hammer and freezes. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING? IF THEY DEVOUR THE CELESTIAL BODIES, RAGNAROK WILL OFFICIALLY START" Freya shouts out.

Thor is confused and overstimulated, he hesitates for a second, and that very second, was the one action that led to the beginning of the end. Thor finally snaps out, doubting his strength, takes out the hammer, and tries to hurl it at the sky, as to not blow his cover. To his surprise, Mjolnir flies up at an exponentially increasing velocity, as it begins to spark, lightning getting built up onto it. The hammer finally makes it to Skoll. 1 meter, 1 second. This was the difference between Thor saving the 9 realms, and the end of existence. Right before Mjolnir comes in contact with Skoll, the latter, devours the sun in a single bite, while Hati devours the moon at the same time. As suddenly as it started, Fimbulwinter ends, as a shockwave radiates from the wolves, Mjolnir getting knocked back to Thor's hand. A series of tremors and natural disasters occur across all realms, as the inevitable has occurred. Ragnarok has commenced.

A few seconds after the beginning of Ragnarok, with the disappearance of the wolfen brothers, a Valkyrie teleports to Freya, whispering something in her ear before vanishing once more. "Impossible..." She speaks out. "I just got some terrible news. The earthquakes that shook Yggdrasil, has freed Fenrir from Gleipnir, and awakened Jörmungandr, but worst of all, it allowed Loki to escape for imprisonment. All 3 of them have hidden in Helheim with Hel, as well as Skoll and Hati, probably assembling the army to rain chaos down on us, we have to get ready. My valkyrie is getting the orders from the All-Father as we speak." Freya adds on. Heimdall, enraged jumps at Thor who flinches back, but is caught by the collar and shook. "WHY, WHY DID YOU HESITATE" Heimdall scolds him "YOUR ENTIRE LIFE YOU NEVER THOUGHT TWICE ABOUT FIGHTING, YET NOW, WHEN WE NEEDED YOU MOST, YOU DECIDED TO BE SCARED?" Tyr leaps to Heimdall's side, and places his hand on his shoulder, prompting him to let go. "As big of a mistake as this was, what happened, has happened, and there is nothing we can do about it except get ready for the coming apocalypse." While he was speaking, Freya was getting Odin's orders. She speaks up "Here are All-Father's direct orders: Gather all fighters from Asguard, Midguard, Vanaheim, Alfheim, and Svartalheim, while I gather the strongest of Valhala, as we shall take on Loki, and his army of Jötunn and beasts. Be ready and gear up, for this is Ragnarok."
