Chapter 1:
The final fight
The final fight
As the sole wanderer crept through the crowd of jixyz,he stopped. He thought to himself;Who truly am I? As I sneaked closer,I noticed he had already noticed me. Perhaps he was still alert from what happened? Or maybe… he was just trying to help us.
I Greeted him (as always) and brought him his drink. As the jixyz were causing chaos,I offered to move. Me and him surprisingly got along! Like sun and the moon, fitting as those are our powers. This world is filled with deities or shall I say: vessels? They harness powers from their corresponding powers. My brother, who had the embodiment of the divine wind,is missing. I set off from this journey/search with my head held high. As we got nearer,I could tell moòn saw something,he had unsheathed his blade. The unsheathing of a blade (especially from deities) is seen as a promise. If you do not draw blood, the promise is broken. Then, the powers are reverted. The legend of the myth has never had someone to test it, as powers are truly rare. Once we had found exempyer, the essence of flame, I knew we were in for a fight. As I attempted to unsheathe my katana, moón stopped me. When moón awakens,he becomes moòn,signifying change in the atmosphere. The battlefield was engulfed in darkness as moòn gave me the signal to carry on. I set up a sun trap; a glorified spark. When it would be set off,it would engulf anyone with bad intentions towards the set target. Inside the shrine,I was greeted with many ancient wolves (xewner). After their arrival to the afterlife by my fist, I had two options. One was up,another down. It would be easy with suns sight: a flying ability passed down for generations. I decided up (hoping to meet the glimmer deity) but I was met with the ground being. The ground being can control a large range of one-hundred meters worth of domain area. It can freely control the entire area (not just the ground). I started by setting fire to the floor, weakening him. As a travelled forward,I missed the wall and he decided to end this fight quickly. In the blink of an eye, a humongous stone pillar had shot out into my cranium.
Who am I?
As I woke up,I noticed I was unable to manifest my powers. My head wasn’t straight… I could feel it in the air; I had lost. I had caught a glimpse of what could seem like dirt. I had realised! The ground being was defeated by moòn! There was no time to celebrate,I had to find my book of elixir;my power source. Every dirty has a certain power source, the most common is its weapon. As a spellcaster/swordsman, mine is my own spellcasting book. I reached into my pocket, realising there was a whole blasted straight through it. As a result,I wouldn’t be able to manifest powers until I had another elixir source. Something wasn’t right with this… how could a blunt source cause what looks like a stab hole in my source of elixir? I had to get up and find my answer. Almost breaking my legs,I went back down.
Down?
As I limped down, head in hands, I found moón. It looked like he had lost too. He was barely conscious, but breathing lightly. Once I had managed to carry him to the entrance,I realised. I took the right steps, went to right ways, but I somehow ended up in a different place. I decided to inspect what looked like his barely-functioning body. It was the copy deity; yuxež. I placed the body down, and immediately made distance with him. The possibility that I had been carrying the wrong person seemed impossible. Knowing this,I tried to get as much information I could about what happened until he awoke…
“Lost?” A voice whispered through the mist.
“Cmon,I’ll take you since you look like an old friend of mine” he said
“W-who are you” I tried to say but it sounded more like “how are you”
“I am the moón deity” he whispered softly into my ear.
As I ventured, still wrapping my head around this “alternate universe” I spotted someone oddly familiar with my clothes. I looked closer and realised; it was me. Luckily, the corpse wasn’t moving but I decided to ask “moón”
“Excuse me,perhaps you are my friends father?” I tried to question him
“Who the friend you speak of? I have no son. What is your name?” He replied looking paranoid.
“Sun,I am sun” I respond reassuringly.
“No,sun was stuck many years ago in this shrine, once his elixir source was destroyed. You can’t possibly be sun,”
As I sat in disbelief,What looked to be the end of the river swaying us suddenly shut.
End?
Suddenly “the imposter” had a knife deep into my throat. I had been stabbed. This wasn’t the first time I’d been stabbed, but it was the first time I’d been betrayed. His glimmering grey eyes shined in the haze,he didn’t have grey eyes. That is when I knew,it wasn’t him. I fell to the floor, gasping for air and resolve, but he had already turned his back. Could it be the smite deity? Or maybe it was simply the mist in the air… I had awoken once again, but not there. I was unconscious but awake and lively. No sign of knives, bleeding or injury. I had been sent to a time where my source of elixir was alive. I had feelings it was the sacred deity of time, which had been banished from a land nearby for treason. According to an article,he had been beheaded and declared dead in 343. But this seemed real, too real…
You are awake…
In this “separate world” I was only six years old again. The sun was shining,I didn’t have powers,it seemed like I was really there. That’s when the story changed; the ritual. You see, some parents can do a certain ritual if they have a specific gene (the zexer gene). My own mother tried to sacrifice my life for the sun god. I don’t blame her, after all I wasn’t able to use powers naturally from birth like moón. I did awaken, just not in the expected way. As the thrust the knife into thy heart,I saw my life: my life of nothing had happened. I obviously didn’t die,as I was reborn from the same body days later with those powers. Unlike what happened,I experienced what happened when I was dead. My true father was the ferocious “k. Knight” (who could control all sharp) was in the afterlife, teaching me. I suppose that was when he gave me my own elixir source and sword, though I’ll never know,as I had awaken from my slumber.
Are you…real?
Out of habit,I reached for my source, but to no surprise,it was still utterly useless. We had entered the xexr shrine to find my brother, the embodiment of wind. It was utterly shameful that at first,I was blaming moón for the loss of my elixir source. I knew who did it,I could sense it now. It was my father. My father,an immortal soul who could possess infinite knowledge and all sharp, was nearby. I could tell,as the man put a metallic rod inside my spine when I was younger that vibrated when I got too close. This time,it was basically pulsing out of my back. Perhaps the true time harnesser was my very mother? I couldn’t be sure yet.
True or false?
As I wandered, still wondering how I would be here,I noticed a green amulet on the ground. As a collector,I decided to pick it up. My spine was barely holding up with all this vibrating,so I held the glowing artefact close to thy chest. I wondered why I wasn’t dead, why my injuries faded, why all of this happened to me. I had forgotten my goal. In the next room, there were cylinders with what looked like artificial powers coming from them. I realised my very brother was trapped in one. I had two options; trying to override this system was out of the question. So,I had to find its creator. I picked up the ancient artefact and threw it at the glass out of pure rage. Surprisingly, the glass had shattered, but an alarm had signalled. With my sibling unconscious, friend missing and no clue what happened, I ran.
