Chapter 0:
AREA ZERO
Peace is a distant thing in this world.
The strongest men use the weakest as pawns. Its atmosphere was thick with gas, but not the common kind. It was something entirely new, dubbed Zero Energy, a substance that could be easily converted into unstable yet highly usable power.
Because of its practicality and easy access, world leaders soon demanded that every car, electronic device, and generator be powered by this nearly divine source.
But they weren't the only ones interested.
That dimension already had masters: the inhabitants of the Zero Dimension, who had discovered that energy source centuries prior.
Zero Earth was much like our own "Normal Earth," but lacked significant technological progress outside of the military sector. The internet, drones, and AI were used exclusively for warfare, never to aid the civilian population.
A massive conflict eventually broke out between the two worlds. However, due to the crushing gravity of the Zero Zone and the unique composition of its gases, conventional warfare—tanks and missiles—was useless.
This necessitated the creation of a new weapon: Armors. These were mechas of various colors and armaments, powered by Zero Energy and forged on Zero Earth thanks to their superior military tech.
The Evolution of the Machine
The first models were primitive. They couldn't fly, were painfully slow, and broke down constantly. These were the TX models, which were soon reverse-engineered by Normal Earth, who refined the designs and rigorously trained their pilots.
For a moment, it seemed the board was tilted in favor of Normal Earth. But then, the tide of war shifted back toward the Zero Dimension. The creation of a new Armors model was made possible by the design genius of Dr. Lisa Morgan.
This was the Delta model: faster, with a triangular design that provided superior aerodynamics, allowing for precise and agile maneuvers.
The Delta models were true demons on the battlefield. They sliced through enemy armor as if it were paper, capable of flight and firing devastating projectiles directly from their chest plates.
Victory seemed certain for Zero Earth. The TX models became obsolete overnight. It took the sacrifice of countless spies from Normal Earth to finally steal the blueprints for the Delta. Once captured, they were mass-produced.
The Cost of Conflict
The war only grew more brutal. Taxpayer money was devoured by the conflict, and peace became a distant memory. The struggle lasted thirty-nine long years.
Neither side held a true advantage, nor did they suffer a total defeat. There were only traumatized survivors and a generation of youth with shattered futures. The war produced no heroes—only survivors.
Finally, exhausted by the lack of resources and staggering casualties, an agreement was reached.
An armistice treaty was signed, granting 65% of the Zero Zone to Zero Earth and 35% to Normal Earth. It seemed as though peace had finally returned to the nations of the world.
Until now.....
