Prologue

This story begins in a small town in the middle of the countryside on a typical spring day for a young adult named Ryu Seki. Ryu is a smart kid, but he does not possess any special aptitude for any specific subject. He is athletic, nimble, and has speedy reflexes, but he has not been blessed with generational talent. Ryu is just your typical sixteen-year-old male student that lives in a world with no magic, no mystical creatures, and no sense of purpose in his life. While his mother has raised him to understand the importance of distinguishing between Good and Evil, he is aware that the line between the two can be difficult to identify as every person has different motivations and external pressures that persuade them. A pendulum swings between the two for everybody based on the decisions and actions they decide to take throughout their life. In the modern world, Ryu wishes to be an honorable man who can be a dependable hero that is able to stop anything he believes to be unjust in the world. As the ruler of all worlds and the overseer of balancing the scales between order and chaos, I believe the time has come for Ryu to be allowed the opportunity to impact the balance of this scale in another world that is on the brink of being forever stained in darkness. As Ryu sits in class impatiently waiting to get out of school, he is oblivious to the fact that his whole world is about to change, and his journey is just about to begin.
