Commitment

Clay was a socially awkward and an introverted 17 year old. Lately he's been depressed since his mother was suffering from blood cancer. Clay knew the end results of such disease since his best friend with whom he spent the most time together died due to the same just a few months ago. But clay didn't knew that his father was informed something tragic. The doctor confessed his father ( Peter Jensen ) that his mother's cancer has gotten out of their limits and that she couldn't be saved anymore. The doctors gave up. Peter replies them to do anything and try anything to save her life. Peter was ready to give all his platelets to his wife to save her, but doctors replied saying that It will all be useless and if you do that. There will not be just one loss to your child. Depressed and sad Peter hiding his feelings and sitting in a corner spending his last few moments with his wife at the fullest. 

but Annie (Clay's mom) already knew that her end was soon enough since she couldn't see Peter hiding his feelings. They both loved each other alot so she decided to go with the flow of Peter and his fake happiness. After a few 'happy' moments, Annie requested Peter to bring clay to the hospital since she wanted to talk to her beloved child. Peter accepted the request happily and let clay meet her mom after 2 whole months the next day. 

Annie said "how you've been clay?". Clay replied "I've been good mom. What about you" while almost tearing up after  seeing her mom in such a painful situation. Annie said "Clay I've been wanting to tell you something'. Annie took out a braclet from the drawer next to her and tied it to clay. Clay asked why and what this is? Annie replied "This is a braclet. I want you to keep wearing it till you love me". Clay asked about what does that mean? Annie answered "Clay... You've been a great child and I am sure you have the biggest and the kindest heart in the world. All I want is for you to keep being like that and never change. Not ever. Do you promise me?" Clay while crying his tears out says yes and that he will never break the promise. Annie said good and then clay was requested by doctors to leave the room immediately since Annie's pluses decreased drastically at all of a sudden and then after a few minutes. She passed away. 

The news made clay super depressed. He didn't even go to school after the tragic death of her mother. Remembering all the memories with his dad. Both of them cried and laughed on the happy moments they spent with Annie. but suddenly...

BOOM! a meteroid crashed into their backyard.
