Chapter 9 Slow reveal

I wasn't surprised at all. I knew something wasn't right about Glints Technology; it seemed unnatural. I didn't even know the full story; John did. Why would someone intentionally make themselves a bubble? Just why and how did he even get such a technology it was out of nowhere thats why I had to use a hostage to find out, and I already had one

“Wake up, The Figure Calls.” An agent woke him up. He was on a bed now. They trusted him more; he had been compliant and respectful, not like he had a choice, though. “Long time no see, how are you?” Alex looked up, disgruntled after just being thrown onto the floor” What do you think?” The figure looked down at him, “Hmm i supposed not to great?” The figure looked up once more like a king figure, which annoyed Alex. Why the hell is this guy acting like royalty that ended ages ago? “Ehem, anyway, I'd like you to tell me about what John knows.”Alex looked up, dumbfounded, “What exactly do you mean?” The figure studied every twitch of his face, every micro-movement. “So you don't know? John was friends with Glint, a fellow scientist, you could say.” Alex looked up in disarray, “You're lying your not getting in my head.” The Figure looked on in disbelief, “He didnt even tell you he helped make Bubl?” Alex looked betrayed, now mortified. “Oh my bad, looks like you didn't, oh, and also you'll be going back, you're of no use, now I'll just use you as bait instead

A loud ringing noise came from the main hall of BLD. “Miranda, go get the phone its probably them back from their mission” John shouted across the hallway she walked there, annoyed its not like that group was important. Why should THE future leader get the phone? “Ughhh Who are you?” Silence for a minute, then a regal voice rang out, “You're one rude lady. I urge you to get John. I might have a little someone called Alex.”

Miranda, though annoyed, supposed it wouldn't be horrible to let Alex die on his own and cut the call. And again a ringing sound happened but this time form johns personal phone “Someone's a rude lady anyway, you must be John I someone you might want to meet” John looked a bit annoyed why was some rando calling us” HELP THIS MAD MAN HELD ME CAPTIVE, now now that heared that you can calm down now, hmm do you see why ive called you now” John was shocked that ceartintly isnt Glint he kmew very well what he sounded like and it couldnt be a subourdinate because Glint would never do something so reckless he knew that he was wrong Glint didnt take Alex someone else did and that someone else knew were they were and wasnt timid they would use it to their advantage

“Well your quite shocked arent you?” he had a smug look on his face as he said it. He was no longer far away; he was in the base. Alex hung on his shoulder, and disbelief washed over John.” What do you want? You're here for a reason, right?” The Figure tilted his head and spoke in a calm voice, “How did you and Glint make bubl?” For a second Johns face hung The Figure read his mind, he didnt need to ask; he already knew. “ahh so you didnt make it. I see that's all I need to know with that information. This guy is useless now, have him back.” Alex was thrown across the Room to John's feet, barely an inch away, and with that, he was gone. He always did that, and it annoyed John. He had already pieced things together. 

John walked off. He needed time to think,” Miranda deals with Alex.” She glared directly at John, but complied anyway, “UGHHHH.” she plolped alex on her shoulder, carrying him to his room and placing him down on the bed and of course stomping all the way back in typical Miranda fashion. John was dumbfounded. He usually wasn't wrong with his predictions, he barely made mistakes, and he felt so dumb. How could he possibly rule out the fact that other people wanted Alex? He didn't even know why, but Alex had a big crosshair on his back, and everyone wanted him to notice it. But now he knew he had it. Alex should have been infected ages ago, but he's still fine, and bubl clones don't even get voices in their head, let alone for them to be correct. There's something strange about alex and John was just realising
