African Jungle

The rainforest swallowed sound whole.

Towering trees knit together overhead, their thick canopies blocking out most of the sun. Vines swayed as Kira and Decibolt leapt from branch to branch, their movements fast, precise, and barely disturbing the leaves beneath their feet.

"If we still had the hover disc, we wouldn't have to do this."

Decibolt landed on a thick limb and pushed off again.
"It's not my fault the hover bikes were too big to move through the trees."

"You designed it that way."

"You weren't complaining when you were zipping around!"

They paused briefly atop two neighboring trees, scanning the jungle below.

"Where's the shard?"

"Why are you asking me? You also have a tracker."

"My Galaxom couldn't handle both the SCS and the tracker, so I took it down."

Decibolt focused, eyes flickering as his sensors recalibrated.
"We're nearing the shard; it's somewhere in that clearing."

They crouched on the branches overlooking a wide, open space where the trees thinned. At the far edge of the clearing, a dark opening cut into the rock face.

"In that cave."

He gestured.

They dropped down together and disappeared into the shadows.

In the Cave

The cavern was wide and rough-hewn, its ceiling bristling with stalactites. A transport truck sat parked near the center, its cargo bed already half-filled with gold bars that glinted in the low light.

A four-armed woman hauled another crate of gold toward it, muscles flexing with each step.

"That should be the summoner, and the shard is with that guy over there."

"This is a private reserve; you shouldn't be here."

"Huh?"

The summoner looked up, eyes widening before a crooked grin spread across his face.

"Oh, you guys! My friends warned me about you. I've been waiting for the day Tetron here will destroy you."

"The summon's an EPA with a combat power of 613."

"Tetron, show them what four arms can do!"

Gold flew toward them, hurled with brute force.

Before it could strike, Kira twisted her wrist and the gold veered aside, slamming harmlessly into the cave wall.

"Don't throw the gold! Use your fists, wise guy!"

"Alright."

Tetron sprinted forward, leapt, and swung.

Kira sidestepped cleanly. Tetron's fist cratered the ground instead. In one smooth motion, Tetron grabbed Kira's leg, smashed her into the stone floor again and again, then flung her across the cave.

"Triple sonic blast!"

Decibolt fired.

"Thunder clap!"

Tetron clapped all four hands together. The shockwave obliterated the blasts midair. She punched the ground, sending rocks upward, then punched them forward like artillery, driving Decibolt back.

"Punch multi-attack!"

She rushed him, landing blow after blow, the final strike launching him into the cave wall.

"Kinetic punch barrage!"

Kira surged forward.

"Okay, I can do this!"

Tetron met every kinetic punch with her own, knocking the energy strikes back toward Kira. Kira leapt over them just as Tetron jumped, grabbed her midair, and slammed her into the ground.

"That's it, Tetron! And people say they are invincible!"

Tetron ripped stalactites and stalagmites free and hurled them.

"Molecular fusion!"

Kira stopped them cold, fusing the stone into a massive rock star and launching it back. Tetron punched straight through it, shattering it into dust.

"Going up!"

She punched the ground again, sending both heroes airborne. She grabbed them by the legs, smashed them into the cave walls repeatedly, then flung Decibolt away before turning on Kira.

"Full body repulsion!"

The blast slammed Tetron into the ground.

"Sonic storm!"

"Okay, not too hard!"

Tetron deflected each disc with surgical precision, destroying them all.

"Okay, my turn!"

She leapt onto Decibolt, jumping repeatedly and driving him deeper into the ground. She grabbed two stalactites and crushed them against him.

"Kinetic punch!"

Tetron slammed into the wall.

"Since you like stalagmites so much, here's a gift!"

Kira lifted jagged stone pillars and hurled them.

"Urgh!"

Tetron rebounded, grabbed Kira by the head midair, flipped, and smashed her into the ground.

"Eat knuckle sandwiches!"

She drew back her fist.

A sonic pulse struck her squarely.

"Aaargh!"

Tetron pounded the ground in fury, thunder claps ripping through the cave. The walls collapsed outward as the two were blasted through stone.

Outside

Tetron landed on a rocky ledge as Kira and Decibolt crashed to the jungle floor below.

"I'm gonna redecorate your faces!"

She hurled boulders.

"Repulsion field!"

The rocks shattered into harmless pebbles.

"Decicannon!"

Tetron slapped it away effortlessly with both left hands.

"Earth quaker!"

The ground shook violently, create a carves deep enough to fully contain the two.T etron uprooted a massive tree, and smashed it on them, before jumping on to the top of the tree, stopping pushing them deeper into the ground.

"Defeated by a tree."

Suddenly Decibolt raced the tree throwing off Tetron's balance. She fell.

Decibolt launched upward and slammed the tree down on her.

"Now who's defeated by a tree?"

"Don't count me out yet."

She tossed it aside and lunged.

Decibolt fired a sonic blast from his mouth, pushing her back. Kira followed up, stretching Tetron's body in opposite directions with molecular force.

"Araag!"

"Sonic step!"

Decibolt blurred forward, striking again and again.

"AARG!!!"

"Don't let them defeat you! Remember what all those people did to you!"

Flashback

Hospital-Tetron's birth

"S-She has four arms!" A nurse said dropping her clipboard

"My daughter is a freak." Tetron's mother yelled

"She has a never-before-seen genetic mutation." A doctor said.

On the streets when Tetron was a bit older

People whispered. Fingers pointed.

"Freak!"

Trash struck her from all sides.

End Flashback

"My own mother called me a freak!!!"

Tetron tore free, her body expanding and reshaping. She transformed into a centaur form, three eyes blazing, two tails snapping behind her, a shield and lance forming in separate arms.

"Freak was an understatement."

"Combat power has gone up 624."

"Arraag!"

She charged, lance striking Kira and sending her flying.

"Sonic pulse blast!"

Blocked by the shield. Decibolt was hurled away in return.

"Eat shield!"

It ricocheted off their heads before snapping back to her. She stomped, launched them skyward, then smashed them down with her lance.

"Heat vision!"

Blazing beams pinned them to the ground, she her shield at them, it bounces of their guts cause immense pain before she jumped up and struck them again with the shield.

"I have triumphed."

She turned away.

"Never turn your back on me!"

Decibolt grabbed her tails, spun, and released.

"Gravitational kinesis attack III: Up-and-down gravity!"

"Kinetic punch barrage!"

She crashed down.

"Heat lance!"

"Molecular wall!"

The wall cracked as Kira held firm.

"You can handle this, right?"

Decibolt vanished through a portal, reappeared above, and landed on Tetron.

"Get off me!"

"Take your shot."

"Leaving the finish to me, as you should. Super-kinetic punch!"

"The quadruple centaur will not fall!"

Her shield shattered. The punch landed.

"No!"

Yellow smoke consumed Tetron.

"Guess you should have listened to your friends."

"Take your stupid shard!"

Kira caught it, then knocked him out.

"Have fun cleaning up."

"Not so fast! Kira told me you've not been helping with cleaning up the aftermath, so this time you'll do it all by yourself."

"You stooped down to being a desperate snitch!"

"Who cares? I got what I wanted."

She stepped through a portal.

"This could take a while."
