Chapter 1:

Part 1 - Chapter 1 - Christopher Brown & Luck

The CJ-Verse

It was a dark and stormy night in San Antonio. CJ was walking around his neighborhood, searching for food and water. It was super cloudy outside, and it smelled like a 7 month rotten apple in the open air.

It was a rather cool day, with a high of 89 degrees. CJ was using a crowbar to break into abandoned houses, the sound of him shattering glass echoing across the city.

“A nice day… and a seemingly unlooted house. This is total perfection!”

CJ jumped into a house he hadn’t explored yet, and he was hit with the best aroma he had ever processed in months. The best smell since the day the barrier was raised. The smell of a perfectly fresh, perfectly cooked, perfectly made, perfectly cooked, and perfectly seasoned burger.

“Finally! Actually good food? That’s a shocker in this economy…”

CJ instantly rushed to the kitchen of the house, rushing toward the smell of the burger on autopilot out of pure instinct. CJ instantly grabbed the burger, gripping it with such excitement it was about to slip out of his hands and splat on the ground.

Suddenly, CJ threw the burger into the open microwave, making it splatter all over the place. Then, he threw a bunch of utensils in the microwave, before slamming it shut as hard as he could. “Phew… traps nowadays are no joke… can’t believe people use their cooking skills for that shit.”

An adult green anaconda, with a length of 20 feet, and a weight of 500 pounds came flying out of the microwave, breaking the microwave door open, making it fly through the window CJ had broken.

CJ tripped on his own foot in fear, narrowly saving him from the green anaconda by a couple of milliseconds. CJ fell to the ground, landing almost face flat before he caught himself. CJ reached out to grab a fork on the ground, but couldn’t reach it by an inch. The green anaconda was already turning around, about to lunge at CJ again, so CJ ripped part of his shirt off and turned it into a whip.

“Damn thieves are getting a bit too creative… “ CJ got up as the green anaconda lunged at him again at full speed, and in one swift motion, attempted to whip it into the ground, but ended up completely missing by a whole foot. As CJ was about to fall to the ground, he barely caught himself, and turned around instantly.

“Damn anaconda… coulda sworn they weren’t this fast.”

The green anaconda lunged at CJ again, this time, CJ was able to land a hit, sort of. The green anaconda bit onto the makeshift whip, and started spinning to choke CJ with it. The makeshift whip wrapped around CJ’s neck, and so did the green anaconda. Due to the sheer weight, CJ fell to the ground due to the sheer weight, and was already losing consciousness.

Suddenly, the ceiling fan right above CJ and the green anaconda fell down. The ceiling fan blades fell at the perfect angle, where the green anaconda got a quarter of its body sliced into bits. The green anaconda lunged off CJ out of pure instinct, and CJ grabbed a kitchen knife.

The snake’s cut off quarter started spasming, as if it was still alive, blood was gushing everywhere. The worst part? The snake was even more alive than it was before.

The green anaconda used its tail as a whip, and whipped CJ right in the hands, sending the kitchen knife flying into the ceiling, making it pierce the ceiling, also fracturing his left hand instantly.

“Damn thing… way faster than a normal green anaconda, but the thing seems weaker than a normal one!”

CJ ran to the bathroom of the house, locating it with a small look behind him. He ran to the bathroom, ran it, and slammed the door shut as hard as he possibly could. He made sure to lock it. Though, it was no use, there was no escaping this thing it seemed.

CJ ducked down, and the green anaconda came flying through the door, putting a hole in it like it was a knife in jello. CJ ran straight into the door out of instinct, knocking it down, along with knocking himself down. CJ got up, and stood his ground.

Instead of continuing to fight, CJ ran to the kitchen to take the kitchen knife out of the ceiling, and threw the kitchen knife at the green anaconda. The green anaconda caught the kitchen knife with its mouth, and used all its bite force to bend the kitchen knife until it was useless.

CJ positioned himself in front of the fireplace, luring the green anaconda toward him. As the green anaconda lunged at CJ, he quickly opened up the fireplace door, threw 5 lit matches in there. Though, in a shocking turn of events, the green anaconda pivoted, and used its tail to spin around and try to instantly crush CJ’s neck.

Suddenly, multiple firecrackers went off in the fireplace, the sparks hitting the snake’s tail. The snake instantly retracted, sending itself flying into the couch. CJ didn’t know this, but these had temporarily blinded the thing due to the way they function. CJ instantly went to pinch his nose.

The smell of burnt green anaconda scales was one of the most disgusting smells CJ had ever smelled, he’d rather smell the polluted air outside that made him almost vomit on a daily basis.

CJ jumped behind the snake, and out of nowhere, he instantly started vomiting. The vomit sprayed all over the snake, getting deep into its burns. The snake instantly went into full on flight or flight, the snake jumped into the ceiling, slammed into the coffee table, before effectively attacking anything it sensed. CJ had to be careful, any millisecond, the snake could easily unknowingly force itself right into CJ’s body.

CJ ran upstairs, searching for any weapons, and right in front of him, was a .44 magnum revolver, a fully loaded one at that. Next to the gun, were noise-cancelling headphones, CJ instantly put those on.

The green anaconda found its way up the stairs through spasming, and as if he had been using these things since he was born, CJ aimed at a random area in front of him, pulled the trigger, and it instantly pulverized the green anaconda’s skull before either of them could even process it.

CJ screamed in the pain, as the recoil of the revolver sent pain right through his fractured left hand. CJ dropped the gun, clenched his fist and teeth, and slowly sat down as he took the headphones off as the bullets fell out of the chamber, the sound making CJ feel a bit worse.

The sound of the green anaconda hitting the floor echoed across the entire house, filling CJ with relief. “Damn… can’t believe damn thieves… train their damn snakes to do that…” CJ fell to the ground, laying down, still awake, but still in just as much pain, if not more.
