Chapter 17 - Long awaited information

[James Thorne froze,the crowd burst into cheers,Nihonshu won the game.Looks like there is still hope for the Western Rebels]

James: ''Unbelievable...That idiot won the game...How did he win?HE WAS SUPPOSE TO DIE!!!''
''Oh shit..I have failed him...''

*James turns his head in the direction of Yoshio*
*Yoshio staring at him with the biggest grin on his face*

Yoshio: ''YOU THOUGHT HE WOULD LOSE BUT GUESS WHAT SUCKER!! MY BOY WON YOUR STUPID ASS GAME!! HAHAHA''

James Thorne couldn't stand being made fun of by Yoshio.He turned to walk away but Yoshio stopped him once again.

Yoshio: ''I believe we made a deal James...Give us back our weapons''

James: ''Oh don't worry..You will receive it tomorrow...''

The Western Rebels were escorted back to their cells where they found Nihonshu waiting there for them.All 3 of the Western Rebels started cheering and congratulating Nihonshu for surviving the game.

Yoshio: ''You did it man!!You actually did it!!''

Tomoki: ''Guess alcohol is the solution to every problem''

Rinku: ''Yeah yeah we can cheer and be happy for him later,right now we need information about Higher Palace!''

Tomoki: ''Relax 'Black Eyes',let him get some rest first.He deserves it..''

While Nihonshu was fast asleep,the Western Rebels started discussing a way to break out of Runner's Up.

Yoshio: ''I have a plan!"

Rinku: ''Great! What is it?''

Yoshio: ''To have a plan!!''

*Rinku starts to strangle Yoshio*

Tomoki: ''You think James is going to give us our weapons back?''

Rinku: ''Are you kidding me? There is no way we can trust that guy to give us our weapons back so easily! I'm telling you,once he figures out we can break free from this prison cell with our weapons,he will kill us on the spot.''

Yoshio: ''I don't know why but I think he might give us our weapons back..''

Rinku: ''What makes you say that?''

Yoshio: ''Look at the bars and the walls..They are made from a super rare material that is almost impossible to destroy so even if we have our weapons inside this cell with us.I think he knows we can't break out''

Rinku: ''What is the name of the material? Maybe there is a weakness?''

Yoshio: ''I don't know..I read it in a book once,a while back''

Rinku: ''Like years ago?''

Yoshio: ''Oh no,this was 2 days ago...Yeah I threw away the book because I felt it might not help us''

*Yoshio stares at Rinku with a blank,clueless expression while Rinku is being held back by Tomoki*

Rinku: ''God...Why did I have to lose my eyesight??? WHY???''

Tomoki: ''You know...Thinking about it right now..The blade of light can probably cut through this material''

Rinku: ''WOAH WOAH WOAH! What do you mean probably?? You telling me that big ass knife can cut the hardest known material in the world?''

Yoshio: ''You know what? That could actually be possible because I have seen Tomoki cut down buildings and other hard materials plus that is no ordinary sword...So it could work''

Just then James Thorne walks into the prison,paying the Western Rebels a visit.

Yoshio: ''HAH! Come to give us our weapons?''

James: ''Calm your balls child,a deals a deal so I came to give Nihonshu his weapon''

Tomoki: ''What about us?''

James: "Oh I did say I will give you you're weapons but you need to play the games first to earn them...See the reason I am giving Nihonshu now is because he won the game''

*James hands over a guitar to Nihonshu*

Yoshio: ''You kidding right? That's not a weapon! That's an instrument!!''

James: ''HEY WE MADE A DEAL,YOU SHOULD BE THANKFUL I AM EVEN AGREEING TO IT!!''

Yoshio: ''YOU AGREED TO GIVE US ALL OUR WEAPONS''

James: ''LISTEN HERE YOSHIO''

*James Thorne steps closer to Yoshio*

James: ''if you want all your weapons back then you play my games otherwise the deal is off.You decide....''

Yoshio realizes that the only way to get the weapons back is to follow along with James.He knows if he disagrees more then the deal will be off.

Yoshio: ''We will play your stupid games but I promise you right now.You are going to burn alive once we are free..''

James Thorne didn't even bother turning back to face Yoshio.He didn't even grin because there was this feeling...Something deep down telling him that Yoshio's words were not to be taken lightly.

Meanwhile the gang decided to wake up Nihonshu due to their eagerness of information

Yoshio: ''Look Nihonshu...I'm pretty sure you know why we woke you up''

Nihonshu: ''Oh yes! It's about Higher Palace''

Yoshio: ''What..No!! Fuck Higher Palace,why do you have a guitar and not a weapon like a gun?''

Nihonshu: ''Oh this?? my father gave it to me before he died plus I am very good in playing guitar.Honestly thank you Yoshio! Without you I wouldn't have gotten my instrument back''

 Rinku: ''OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! NIHONSHU PLEASE...WHAT IS IN HIGHER PALACE?? PLEASE ANY INFORMATION WILL HELP US!!''

Nihonshu: ''Ahh yes...I suppose I should inform you''

*Nihonshu puts his guitar down and pulls out a bottle of alcohol from his jacket*

Yoshio: ''How does he do that?''

Nihonshu: ''Now.Years ago I visited Higher Palace with my father because he had a meeting with the higher up.My father was a very respected man when he was alive so he was offered a chance to visit Higher Palace for a meeting,he brought me along due to my constant nagging to join him.I don't know how to get to there and I apologize for that but what I witnessed there gave me shivers.In Higher Palace there is constant surveillance around the whole place,they don't have sheriffs and deputies as our towns,they have royal guards watching over the place 24/7.The higher up is known as the 'Governor',he controls the country and is connected to the British empire.No one except for the queen has ever seen him,not even the guards or my father''

Yoshio: ''Wait then how did your father have a meeting with him?''

Nihonshu: ''My father was blindfolded throughout the entire meeting.Anyway where was I?Right,most of the guards look weak to be honest but the real threat is the knights...''

Rinku: ''Knights?''

Nihonshu: ''Yes knights..They are called the 'Knights Of Balance'..Their main objective is to protect the Governor at any cost,legend has it that they have never lost a single fight in their lives.There are 2 of them,one black and one white''

Yoshio: ''Seems kinda racist don't you think?''

Nihonshu: ''Shut up,the knights are to be not taken lightly,I remember walking past the white knight once and the aura I felt from him was incredibly bone chilling...It was so terrifying that I ended up bowing down to him against my own will.Not just me but my father too!The black knight I have never seen but from what I heard from the guards,he roams around the whole Palace...Lurking in the shadows and always watching you from afar.At first I thought they were talking crazy but once you start walking alone...You can feel his presence,it was different from the white knight.You can feel his blood-lust.Unfortunately I don't know about the abilities of the knights or the Governor so that is a huge gap in the information''

Rinku: ''Wait wait...What do you mean abilities?''

Nihonshu: ''...You never heard or seen someone with abilities/powers??''

All 3 of them: ''No?''

Nihonshu: ''Listen not everyone in this country is normal,there are those who are born with the blood of hero who has an extraordinary bloodline..''

Yoshio: ''So they are born with abilities because they are connected to a hero from the past?''

Nihonshu: ''Yes,some gives their lives to God and receive his blessings..''

Tomoki: ''Incredible''

Nihonshu: ''And lastly...some crave power and make a deal with evil itself''

Rinku: ''Sickening''
''So what you are saying is that everyone in Higher Palace has these abilities or made a deal?''

Nihonshu: ''No,not everyone would do that.It is extremely rare to be born with abilities due to there being limited heros in the past,those who are corrupted will sell their souls to evil however those who end up giving their's to God mostly don't show it as they will remain a target in the government's eyes so they choose to hide it''

Tomoki: ''That is bullshit..God gave you his blessings so you can defend the innocent and save lives,not to hide that power because you fear the Governor will kill you.This is just ridiculous.Good will always surpass evil regardless! You basically just wanted the blessings out of your own greed.I don't care if I have powers or not,I am going to destroy those who bring harm against the innocent,even if it means death..''

Yoshio: ''Yeah great speech Tomoki but first things first,we need to wait until you win a game so James can give us the blade of light,then you can cut the bars and break us free to grab our weapons.The only problem is surviving the games...''
"Nihonshu I thank you for the information and would appreciate it if you join us on our journey to Higher Palace''

Nihonshu: ''I'll join the Western Rebels but first you need to help me with a goal I have''

Yoshio: ''You can count on us...''
"Also did anybody noticed nothing happened this chapter...It was only dialogue''

Nihonshu: ''What is he talking about?''

Tomoki: ''Leave him be..It is his main character syndrome''
