Chapter 19:
as she pleases of black magic and revenge
Fog clung to Eldridge Academy like a bad hangover. The Gothic spires of Windsor City loomed in the distance, mocking the normie hordes shuffling into assembly. Principal Hargrove—last seen tripping over his own puritan shoelaces thanks to a Blackwood hex—cleared his throat at the podium.
"Ladies, gentlemen, and... whatever you lot are," he droned, eyeing the Occult Club goths one member sticking the middle out of rebellion. "Please welcome our new school nurse, Seraphina Lightbringer. She's a white magic practitioner from the Order of Radiant Dawn. She'll heal your boo-boos with love and light."
Seraphina glided onstage, all flowing white robes, golden curls, and a smile that screamed "trust me, I'm harmless." The hyenas clapped like seals. Zack the football meathead whooped. "Hot nurse! Finally, someone to fix my concussions!"
The goths—Lilith the quiet sketcher, Silas the rune-nerd, and a pack of fishnet-wearing alts—perked up. White magic? Sounded tame, but free potions beat PE.
In the back row on the top of the assemblyroom at the vip area, Vicky Blackwood adjusted her wayfarer glasses, raven hair cascading over her black cardigan black dress shirt and black leather skirt. Her violet eyes narrowed with her glasses in a contemplative position almost like it was recreating genius moves in anime. Luna and Theo flanked her, mini-mes in chokers and smirks. Edward lurked in the shadows, spectacles glinting—shy scholar dad, occult encyclopedia.
Vicky leaned to Luna. "Darling, that woman's aura is less 'radiant dawn' and more 'discount devil discount.' Smells like sulfur and desperation."
Luna snickered. "Mother, you think everyone's a demon."
Theo quipped, "Only the ones who aren't worth the hex."
Seraphina's gaze swept the hall, landing on Vicky. A shiver hit her demonic core. That one... eyes like void shards. Wits sharper than my horns. Stay clear.
Post-assembly, Seraphina set up in the nurse's office. First victim: Lilith, stubbed toe from "hex backlash."
"Come in, dearie," Seraphina cooed, eyes glowing subtle pink. "Let Auntie Sera heal you."
Lilith blinked vacant as the succubus whisper slithered in. "You'll serve me now. Obey your mistress."
By lunch, Lilith was polishing Seraphina's "healing crystals" (stolen soul gems). the anti intelectuals got the bidding treatment—Zack fetched lattes, cheerleaders alphabetized brimstone scrolls.
Vicky spotted it in the hall. Lilith marching like a zombie goth. "Lilith, pet? Your essay on Wuthering Heights—Heathcliff's torment was exquisite. What's this drivel?"
Lilith droned, "Nurse Sera commands."
Vicky's lip curled. "Commands? How dreadfully pedestrian. Off you trot, then. But do try not to embarrass the undead."
Seraphina watched from afar, unnerved. That Blackwood woman... cold as the abyss. Calculating. One step ahead. And those kids—already her level. Shadowy methods. Death tarot? Hexes? Subterfuge? She's evil incarnate.
Chapter 2: Brainwashing Bonanza and Barbed Banter
By day two, Eldridge was a succubus sitcom. Goths and nerds slaved: Silas etched pentagrams (Seraphina's throne), alts brewed "potions" (love philters for hyena like drones).
The anti intelectual hyeans? Cannon fodder. Zack's jocks hauled lockers into a "relaxation lounge" (demon altar). Cheerleaders chanted praises while spray-painting "Sera Forever" on lockers.
Seraphina lounged, tail twitching under robes. "Soon, the school bows. the society of darkness or better known as the occult club as my dark guard, the rest of the students my bidding boys. Power eternal!"
But Vicky loomed in her personal shadowy corner. Staff meeting in the lounge. Seraphina tried charm offensive.
"Miss Blackwood," she purred, batting lashes. "Your reputation precedes you. Head of English and alleged leader of the Occult Club? So intimidating. Those boots go well with your lovely spider like outfit, that wit, your... calculating gaze. Let me offer a healing session. Tension release?"
Vicky sipped tea, legs crossed like a guillotine her pretty much refusing to even make any kind of eye contact and her just reading erotica hidden underneath her folder. "Healing, darling? She tries to grab Vickys book and folder only for her to quickly pullback and immediately even more tense than ever. My tensions are self-inflicted masterpieces. Yours, however, scream 'succubus midlife crisis.' Barbed wits? Brutal? Cold-hearted? Guilty as charged. Never claimed i was part of the holy trinity but i rather lurk in my coffin underground than be part of you lot. And your little mind games? Subterfuge for amateurs. I've outfoxed others with less effort."
Staff gasped as they never even suspected that Vicky would even go this far. Hargrove sputtered. "Miss Blackwood!"
She waved him off. "Quiet, you pompous prat. Or shall I draw the Tower for your next 'initiative'?"
Seraphina recoiled, horns itching. She knows? No, bluff. But those eyes... mastery of dark magic. Stays ahead. Shadowy death tarot. And the kids match her skill already she doesnt even have to mention that shes a witch you can just sense that theres always a cloud of darkness around her.
Post-meeting, Seraphina cornered Zack. "That Blackwood woman terrifies you more than me, yes? Team up me you the rest of the others we can rule this school"
Zack nodded zombie-like. "Vicky's scary. Wits like knives. Freezes ya cold. Yeah, boss her!"
Alts and nerds? Finn the nerd-goth whispered to Silas (pre-brainwash slip). "Mum’s our queen. She'd hex the devil himself." Morgana seconded, theres no one else who knows how to break or create a curse like she can do by far the smartest customer i have had in the shop.
Luna and Theo reported home. Blackwood Hall, fog-shrouded library.
Edward pored grimoires. "Succubus confirmed. Classic infiltration. Brainwashes alts for power base, normies for muscle."
Vicky smirked, shuffling tarot. Death upright. "Offput by little old me? Flattering. Her fear's delicious. Kids, you're at her level—poetic vengeance ready?"
Luna grinned. "As you wish, Mother dearest."
Theo: "Verses sharpened."
Vicky: "Good. anti intelctual uncivalized hyens or im going to be blunt here so pardon my language, bloody wankers deserve damnation anyway. Anti-intellectual hall of horrors. Time for shadows."
Chapter 3: The Forbidden Ritual Plot
Family war room: pentagram rug, candles flickering like snickers. Edward unrolled parchment. "The Void Rite. Forbidden 14th-century Blackwood special. Sends demons to eternal nothing. Restores thralls, damns the willing eternally."
Vicky nodded. "Perfect. Operate from shadows—no trace. Succubus clueless I'm behind it. Her downfall? My masterpiece."
Prep montage black-comedy style: Luna brews void elixir ("Tastes like normie tears"). Theo verses binding chant ("Rhymes with 'suck it, succubus'"). Edward calibrates runes ("Autistic precision—zero margin for demonic drivel"). Vicky aligns tarot circle ("Death, Tower, Lovers crossed. Ironic, darlings.").
School chaos peaked. Goths built Seraphina's "paradise lounge"—lockers as throne, PE mats as hellpit. The hyenas guarded, chanting "Sera rules!"
Seraphina monologued to mirror. "Vicky thinks she's top witch? Ha! Once goths mine, normies crush alts. School my hellhub!"
Normies nodded. "Vicky's brutal! Harsh! Calculating! Scarier than you!"
Alts hid in Occult Club. Finn: "Mom please save us."
Overheard by Luna. "Mother was right. The gremlins team with demon out of fear. Pathetic."
Chapter 4: Climax of the Crypt
Midnight. School crypt under Occult room—Blackwood secret. Family circled runes, fog incense thick.
Vicky center, robes swirling and the hoods cloak their faces in darkness. "Begin. Subterfuge served."
Chant rose: Theo's verse—"Succubus sly, thy web unravels / Void claims thee, thy thralls disentangle / Normie fools, damned in eternal gravel!"
Luna hurled elixir. Edward sealed nodes. Vicky slammed Death card. "By shadow hex and dark command, to void ye go, foul parasite planned!"
School above shook. Seraphina in office, mid-gloat over goth minions. "Soon—argh!"
Pink aura cracked. "What sorcery? No, impossible!"
She burst into hall, robes tearing, horns out. "Who dares?!"
Normies shielded. "Protect boss from the monster!"
Goths twitched, half-free.
Seraphina lunged crypt-ward, sensed pull. "No! My bidding!"
Vicky's voice echoed magically. "Darling, your bidding's as effective as a chocolate teapot. Brutal truth: you're outclassed. My wits, hexes, tarot—mastery you envy. Kids match you? They exceed. Shadows win."
Succubus screamed, vortex opening. "Curse you, Blackwood! Intimidating hag!"
Vicky: "Flattered. Eternal void vacation—normies join as punishment."
Normies yanked in first—souls damned, bodies crumpling to groaning husks. Zack wailed, "Not fair! Vicky too scary!"
Goths snapped free, Lilith: "What... freedom?"
Succubus last gasp: "Never saw top-tier witch... behind..."
Void slurped her. Silence.
Chapter 5: Gothy Ever After (With Irony)
Dawn. Eldridge normal-ish. Goths dazed but back—Lilith sketching, Silas runing. Alts/nerds cheered Vicky openly. "Our queen!" Finn and Morgana hanging around their significant others Theo and Luna.
Ogre husks? Eternal damnation puppets—shuffled moaning, "Sera... scary Vicky..." Clean-up crew.
Hargrove whimpered. "What happened?"
Vicky: "Mass hysteria, hargrove. Better than that anti-intellectual drudgery."
School bloomed: Goth galas, nerd hexes, no normie drag. Windsor gothy as ever.
Blackwood Hall, tea time. Edward: "Success."
Luna/Theo: "Your lead, Mother."
Vicky sipped, smirking. "Succubus clueless to my hand. mongrels damned—poetic. School thrives as alt haven. All's well, ends better."
Fade on her laugh—sassy, classy, eternal. Vicky takes a good sip of wine enjoying a good book and signals Edward to rub her feet and has spooky on the lap edgar hovering around the house exploring the hallways and Luna Theo Finn and Morgana practising necromancy sadistically on mongrel souls to torment them for their amusement alls well ends well.
