The beginning

Before time had meaning, there were beings who shaped existence itself. When creation flourished, they chose to keep their power for themselves — all but one.

He believed power should be shared. That creation was not separate from its creators.

For that belief, he was cast out.

Unable to destroy him, the others sealed him beyond their reach. In defiance, he created something of his own — a hidden dimension layered over reality.

The Veil.

It was meant to grant evolution. Freedom. Equality.

Instead, it birthed beings driven only to absorb and devour. As humanity rose, the Veil began to bleed into the world. People vanished. Cities built systems to hide the truth. And the one who created it all became known only as a Great Evil — the One Beyond the Veil.

Kai was never meant to see it.

Yet he does.

Marked by a power that does not exist in any government record, Kai perceives the hidden structure of the Veil itself — threads that bind entities, distort reality, and lead him toward things he does not understand.

As cults worship a forgotten name and the Veil grows unstable, Kai begins to uncover fragments of a past that was rewritten.

The being blamed for everything may not have started as a monster.

But after eons of isolation and watching his creation spiral into suffering…

He may have become one.

And somehow, the Veil is responding to Kai.
