Chapter 46:

Epilogue: Broken Glass Wings.

E-UNIT: The Blue Angels of Death

After the arrest.

The soldier dragged the last E-UNIT through the facility.

She was far too heavy to carry properly, and the ministry did not provide the right equipment to move her body. His colleague assisted him, walking beside him while holding a tablet.

They reached the storage facility.

The room was dim and poorly organized. Broken weapons were stacked carelessly along the walls. Old tires were piled in the corners. Random discarded objects filled the space, the kind of things usually thrown away and forgotten.

The soldier struggled to lift her and tossed her onto the pile of inactive androids. Her blue eyes were gone, replaced by dark, empty screens. Whatever light once lived inside her had vanished. What had once been a metallic body full of purpose now looked like a discarded toy, abandoned after humans grew bored of it.

She landed on top of the others.

Above the pile, a metal sign hung loosely, painted red, barely holding in place.
“DO NOT TURN ON.”

The soldiers clapped their hands, brushing dust from their gloves.

The one holding the tablet looked at his partner.
“It is better if we make sure they are all turned off.”

The other replied with a smug expression.
“Why bother? Their bodies are broken, and their batteries will not last more than three days. Most of them are already dead anyway.”

“Roger,” the tablet soldier replied.
He glanced at the screen, then lifted her slightly to check the marking.

“What number was it again?”

“03.”
