Mountain party

Walking up to the proctor i handed in my exam paper and left deceptively quiet. Internally i was freaking out, i was confident i got at least half of those questions wrong! But at least it was over now, it's over and i can go chill at home and finally sleep. 
Still slightly freaking out i kept walking in a semi-haze as i was almost at the bus stop, when i felt a hard hand on my shoulder. I turned around, already knowing who it was.

"Sup Adam, how'd exams go?" My friend Joseph asked, unaware of the pain and misery i had just gone through. I looked at him and made an exaggerated frowny face to let him know just how it went.
"Ah...sorry bud." Joseph said, a little meeker "But hey, i think i know just what will get you in gear again! Me and the rest of the class are planning a party in the mountains to celebrate finally being done with exams. What do you say?" 

"It's not tonight...right?" I looked at him, a little scared he'd drag me there when i just wanted to sleep for 3 days straight.
"Nah don't worry, we're all a little tired so it's on friday" he said, making me let out a sigh of relief. I could go and still induldge in my sloth routine all i wanted until then.

"Alright, come pick me up then?" I didn't exactly have my driver's license yet, and i'm not very keen on taking the bus and walking up the mountain.
"Yeah for sure! I'll be there at 6pm" Joseph said and promptly ran off, probably going to tell some more people. He is part of the group chat, and yet he never uses it... Well this time i guess that ended well for me since i didn't see them talking about it.

The next few days went about in an uneventful bliss as i simply laid in my bed and watched movies for what was probably way longer than a person should be laying down doing nothing for. And then came the day of the party, i had prepared a fit for the day with loose demin jeans, half tucked in shirt with a kaiju print on it, and finally a cool jacket with flower prints on it. I'm fitted out and ready for this!

Joseph came to pick me up as promised and we went off to the mountains. Hiking was never my thing so i didn't know the area all too well, although that just made me stick my face to the window staring at the enviornment even more. There was so much around that i don't usually see, the party was taking place in a field halfway up the mountain. The mountains themselves were pretty interestingly shaped, with them forming a circle that only had 1 clear opening which the city used to build a dam using the rest of the mountain as a bowl to keep all the water in.

We passed by several buildings i could only assume were power plants, their logo of a tree placed above a family, spreading it's roots to the side and down looking like it was sheltering them.

We made it up not long after and i saw 2 people come out to greet us, looking like they were waiting for us. Joseph drove up and parked us with the butt of the car facing towards the house.
"Hey, you guys are late!" the guy in front of the door was waving towards us and Joseph ran towards him. "Sorry, sorry. We were taking in the scenery on the way here, Adam here doesn't get out much so i was showing him the wonders of grass, yknow how it is."
"Hey! I get out all the time, I just don't go hiking. I mean why would i go to the mountain that's just full of power plants and a dam, not really much advertising for anything else here" I said, trying to not sound like i never go outside.

"Oh that's where you're wrong bud, there's a lot more here than just power plants." Joseph said pretty creepily like he was about to tell me a ghost story. I half expected him to pull a flashlight out to start a monologue, but sadly it seemed our hosts wanted to get inside already.

"Come on guys let's go inside already, we've got beer and racing games. And vincent already started singing" we spent the rest of the night having a pretty good time, i lost and won a couple of times, sat on the couch just talking and had fun. There was one incident before i went to sleep on the couch though.

"FUCKING OWWW DUDE!" I heard a guy yelling behind me and turning around i saw 2 dudes squaring off, both seemed pretty drunk. the bigger guy seemed to be the one who got hit, and he quickly shoved the guy back.
The small dude fell backward and hit his head on the tv, his head started bleeding pretty badly.

I stood up in a startle, but before i could move over a few of what i assume to be his friends moved over and picked him up.
"we'll take him to the hospital, you guys don't need to worry we've got this." they quickly got out of there before anyone could say anything. I was a little off put but was still able to go to bed.

I was a little groggy waking up the next morning, the sun came in through the window and almost blinded me as i tried to roll over. I could hear clattering all around me and my head was killing me.
What even is making all that noise, and wait...there wasn't a window in this part of the building was there? Where the hell was the light coming coming from?

Finally rolling out of bed, i looked around while layin on the floor, and i could only describe what i saw as...creepy. There were several life sized puppets of everyone standing around and clacking their nutcracker mouths together, what the hell is going on here?
