Chapter 1:
ReWritten: Walking the Path of Yours Truly
The land engulfs itself in fire, they invade, everything he had worked for burns to ash in the rubble. Non are spared but they, not women, not the elderly, not the children. Sword’s clang and canons boom as the storm grows closer than it’s ever been. The sky loses all colour as eternal night starts to set, buildings collapse, and the barrier of this nation threatens to fold. He is chained up as their leader walks forth. Soldiers bow in his path; Explosions erupt as the tech he built is stolen right in front of him. His eyes don’t shut and stare at the terror they have unleashed upon his nation.
“No.”
His strength diminished, he lets out a breath as his tears dry.
The king bends down to the pitiful sight of him, the all powerful of this land, standing chained up, pierced, tortured.
“I told you didn’t I”
The king rests his head against his bloody face.
“I never lose”
A tight grin plasters on the king, and as he laughs manically, he finally releases, he has lost. The girl’s mutilated body rests lifeless in front of him as the king celebrates, and all of hope he once had, is lost. Just like the proceeding of his life, nature took its course, she was powerless, and he suffered the cost of acting in opposition to BIAS.
The king finalizes this ‘canon’ event with one final touch as he signals the guard behind him.
“Unfortunate you can’t die, truly a pity.”
He doesn’t focus off the girl, but the guards bring an astralite hollow box. The box’s door opens as holes rip from the box. Chains tightened, his head wobbles as his body releases tension, and thrown into the steel box.
“But as a parting gift, I offer this”
The king kicks him into the box, and this shall become his eternal prison.
She is trapped within his body, and the doors shut.
The king gives his final word,
“I bid you a‘deu”
And the surface of the prison thickens as more steel, stone and astralite layers. The holes merge to seal blocking all air, and him, still restrained, stays as still as ice.
Outside, the king ends this chapter, and with a single activation of a spell, a chain of circles both inside and outside the steel cage simultaneously activate, and before a single photon has the time to travel, pure steel rods and spikes as big as an adult fist materialize.
Where did I go wrong. He despairs, and it all is rendered pointless, as the rods and spikes fly in, piercing his body from every angle.
Absolute anguish releases from him as his are muffled by the thick walls. His living flesh is ripped through as blood gushes everywhere.
The king with an executing move, activates another spell, which sends rods crushing his legs and arms. His soul doesn’t detach, but his flesh regenerates over the rods sending more blood gushing.
One final rod, crushes through his skull as it rips through his mouth to the back of his head.
She doesn’t share the same pain, but she seems to appear under less stress as he remains alive.
I will get you out of here. She swears by her name.
His consciousness dissipates as his brain is crushed.
The king and his entourage leave, but their work isn’t done yet.
“Step one, Complete.”
She doesn’t stay still, and detaches herself from him, and using the power she has, the spindle of time and fate are stretched beyond the limits of her existence.
-The future may seem bleak, but time is not finite to one space. They still have time before this encounter, but the build up leading to that event is one that remains a question to be answered-
