“Well, Justin, I won’t ask,” Alana said, her voice a mix of frustration and pride. “Just… keep up this dating life so I won’t have to marry a stupid dragon. I’m too proud a demon to mix with a dragon, but… I’m still powerless to do anything.” She clenched her fists tightly on her thighs, jaw tense, eyes blazing with unspoken determination,of hatred and anger.
I smirked faintly, glancing out the window of the fast-moving carriage. “Well, ain’t that sad. And I may seem heartless, but I’ve never concerned myself with your problems and don't concern yourself with mine.” I let my gaze drift over the passing scenery. “And… ain’t you a relative of the Khoas Clan?” I added, curious with a mischievous grin.
“Yes,” she admitted, her tone softening slightly. “I’m the cousin of the Demon Lord’s son the one who supposedly went missing during the great dragon war. He’s said to possess the abilities and power to defeat the Dragon Lord.” Her eyes glimmered with hope, reflecting the sunlight streaming in through the carriage windows.how ridiculous
I nodded absentmindedly, staring out at the blur of forests and hills. “Kay, kay,” I muttered.
“Oh! By the way,” she added with a sly smile, “we’re invited to the castle in the next few days. And you… are my plus one, since you’re my boyfriend.”
I allowed myself a small grin, feeling a mix of anticipation and dread. Well, that could help me a lot finally face her, get the answers I need.
“Why’s that, Justin?” she asked, arching a curious brow.
“Nothing… my beautiful girlfriend,” I replied smoothly, a playful grin spreading across my face.
Alana let out a dramatic sigh, rolling her eyes. “Well, don’t get used to it, Justin. It’s just a pretend relationship… so I can get out of this situation.”
“Okay, if you say so, ma’am,” I laughed loudly, shaking my head at her antics.
The carriage slowed as we finally arrived at school. The sun had climbed high way too high for a dark morning, in the sky, casting sharp shadows across the cobblestone courtyard. As we stepped down, Alana clutched my arm tightly against her chest, her perfect, practiced smile aimed at the observing students. She was pretending, but her precision in showing off our supposed relationship was impeccable.
" Who is that" one student added" What is a loser doing with the President" one added " Come on is that Justin the first year?" One added" He doesn't deserve to be next to her?" One added with a click of her tongue
“Their murderous intends are quite high, I can tell,” I muttered under my breath, glancing at Alana. She merely laughed softly, pressing closer, her grip tightening as if to emphasize the act.
We walked through the hallway past the locker rooms as I heard all students muttered under themselves and finally I parted ways with her to get to my classroom and as I slammed the door open everyone gave me a nasty look that made my stomach twist
" Ohhh hey Justin where have you been " my blonde haired and blue eyes friend po says coming closer
" I knew he chickened out didn't know he was going to come back" my red haired and blue eyes friend Jax adds
" No I came down to a cold you idiot" I responded harsh as I pulled a chair and set down
" Morning everyone and a special morning to Justin" miss Elina says as her grips tightens on the book she held
Well ain't this great now the teacher is going to torment me now because she accepted my love
She then came close to my desk as she slamned the book on my desk that made me jump "did you know that Pres Alana is like a princess in this school" she whispers to my ear
"Yea I know pretty well now just leave me alone " I replied with a cold gesture and a grin
My insides scream out as I say those words now that was the last nail to my coffin it's all over
" If you say so Justin Alana did instruct us to " she say with a light Smile and her eyes closed as she moves the book to grab I in her hands near her chest and a vein pops up on her hand
Well that's a relief I let out a high sigh as I gaze at her move to the front of the table.after a long tormenting magic class by miss Elina asking me all the difficult questions it finally ended as the bell rang for break time
I grabbed my back as I rushed out of the class and open the door and there she stands with a smile no that's a pretend smile her black hair swayed back as she tilted her head then reached out to grab my hand with both her hands.
"Well come on my darling time for lunch" she said with a light grin" and today you have the honour of sitting with me" she added as the whole classes mouths fell open
Ohhh right this situation just got alot worse not to mention that it'll be the end of me not soon from now I let my head fall down as I sigh
She grabbed my arm and let it rest on her chest as we both walk through the hallway and to the cafeteria where I ordered the plain always meal and she ordered a a full coarse meal as she dragged my hand towards a seat my usual spot with Jax and Po setting on the other side with their mouths wide open
"Come guys close your mouths am trying to eat " I said with a spoon full
Not so long after I watched the maids as they stacked out food on our table as the whole cafeteria stood around us to gaze at the food
Alana then took a spoon and pulled the pudding closer to her as she took one spoon and she looks at my me
Well this is my chances I can make her hate me even more I'll be so unabareable she will end this relationship
I then rush to stand up and dug my spoon into her ricd and straight into my mouth as thy all gasp and look at me I then went on again to the bowl full of mixed vegs as I took another spoon and into my mouth and then I dug my spoon into her pudding as I have her a grin as the whole cafeteria holds their hands on their mouths and gasp even harder mutters erupted it was truely pleasing to hear
Well that does look at her face she's pissed off if I can continue this thing everyday I can end this unwanted relationship I let out another huge grin as the spoon in my mouth
" Ohhh I don't mind darling eat up"she said with a grin as she held my arm close to her chest tight way too tight than normal” I do love a man that has an appetite “
Say what?? Did she just let it go just like that? my mind scrambled as I tried to make sense of what she was saying but after a long while of me trying to piss her off which failed horribly the bell rang and it was time for the next class
The classes passed rather quickly than normal all I was focused on was not trying to get murdered by the whole demon race just because am in a relationship with the pres
Then the time came as it was time to leave walking through the thick crowd with her clinging onto my arm
Every motion, every playful glance she threw at me, every laugh meant to seem affectionate it was excruciating. For the rest of the day, I felt like a pawn in her carefully orchestrated performance.
The next day was quite the same me trying to piss her off to end the unwanted relationship and her pretending even harder to make this lie seem real I could tell she was failing which made my stomach twist with joy
Then came the Third day where everything was out of my control first she switches alchemy classes and comes to my class to do alchemy next to me as she calls it ' quality time with her boyfriend ' am not even her real boyfriend am dragged into this mess because of a stupid bet
Alana didn’t stop at mere appearances. In alchemy class, she forced me to make a ring matching mine. My own skull ring had a dark, foreboding aura, but hers? Hers was a delicate, beautiful purple rose. The contrast made my head spin. I managed to craft it perfectly, proving my skill, but honestly… it was exhausting.
The day dragged on like that pretend love, careful smiles, constant attention. Every second was a mix of tension, awkwardness, and subtle embarrassment. By the time classes ended, I felt drained, but there was no time to rest. Ahead lay the castle today it's the day we are demend special guests by the princess, the queen, and questions that demanded answers.
I took a deep breath, the cool evening air filling my lungs as I looked at Alana beside me. Pretend or not, the day had been… eventful. And now, the real challenge awaited.
