Chapter 1:

A false guide to perfection

Unknown

Chapter 11: Fractured Paths

Back near the outskirts of Yami no Machi, Brielle stayed behind with Kyte and Lady Straya. Their mission was far from over.

Brielle exhaled, still catching her breath. "He's not what I expected..."

Kyte glanced toward the horizon. "He's stronger than we thought. But that's not all."

Straya nodded. "Chronus isn't just targeting Daidus. He's trying to shape the world again. Through runes, through dials... maybe even the Tree itself."

Brielle looked down. "Vesta ran to protect him. But Chronus wanted more. He wanted Daidus to gain that power—maybe even to corrupt it. But she fled to the Imperial City."

"She had two sons," Kyte said slowly. "We've only seen one."

Chapter 12: The Boy Named Judah

Elsewhere, within the shadows of an untouched mountain range, a boy stood beneath the ruins of a forgotten shrine. His hair, dark as coal. His skin, marked with the insignia of perfection—a broken ring etched into his shoulder.

He murmured to himself, hands buried in frost-covered earth.

"One hundred... one hundred... must be perfect..."

He looked up at the Stargazing Tree's distant silhouette far across the world.

"Soon... I'll become its final child."

His name was Judah.

And perfection... was his curse.

Chapter 12: Arrival of the "Perfect"

Judah's voice echoed across the night sky:

"I am Perfection!!!"

Cold and crackling, it carried like electricity.

Under the silver glow of dawn, Daidus stood at the gates of the Silver Capitol's Navigation District, accompanied only by Hoshiko. His hair, now streaked with violet lightning, glinted in the early light.

Stray observers stopped and stared. Incarnates and adventurers alike sensed something profound, powerful—unsettling.

Straya and Brielle had stayed behind to gather intelligence with Kyte. Now, Daidus returned to resume their journey.

As they passed through the busy checkpoint, a voice called out:

A tall, sleek man with pale hair and sharp eyeliner approached. "Look who's back—if it isn't Daidus Kiken."

Daidus stopped, meeting the newcomer's gaze. "I'm here for Takima Yatsurugi," he replied, voice steady. "And I've got no time for idle threats."

The man smirked. "I'm Orochi. Heard Takima's in the Gallery. She's up front—fighting off another wave of troublemakers."

Inside the Navigation District, stalls lined with runes, weapons, and bounty contracts filled the hall. Daidus and Hoshiko stepped further in.

A herald's cry erupted:

"Higher Powers, step forward! A new threat emerges from the Higher Worlds."

One by one, six figures ascended:

1. Kenji Yaku

2. Riku Hasumi

3. Suki Mikage

4. Takima Yatsurugi

5. Hayami Ryujin

6. Daidus Kiken

Their names rang through the hall. Gasps and whispers rolled across the crowd.

Kenji Yaku leaned toward Riku Hasumi.

"Do you think it's really a high-level threat?"

Riku nodded. "It must be—Halo's only gathering the strongest."

Hayami Ryujin spoke clearly:

"We have a mission. A Halo-led strike team to venture into the Higher Worlds."

Daidus exchanged a glance with Hoshiko—her amber eyes steady, but worried.

A flicker of violet energy pulsed along his hairline as he took a breath.

"I'll go," he said, voice soft but determined.

"Me too," Hoshiko replied, stepping forward.

Next: Into the Higher Worlds

With six incarnates gathered—each a living legend—they stand as humanity's best hope against an emergent force in the realms above.

Will they survive what lies beyond?

Can Daidus confront Judah's obsession with perfection?

And what will they discover about the Stargazing Tree's deeper mysteries?

To be continued in Chapter 13...

Chapter 13: Rift Beyond Reason

The wind blew cold at the edge of the higher world's threshold. Mist rolled off the broken sky, revealing glimpses of a divine kingdom far in the distance.

But the peace wouldn't last.

"Been a while, boys," Hayami Ryujin said with a smirk as he approached Kenji and Riku. "Any clue why we're here?"

"No solid clue," Riku replied, eyes scanning the eerie terrain. "But clearly... something big's about to happen."

Kenji scoffed. "It better be worth the trouble. I didn't come here to babysit. I want to fight something world-ending... just for the thrill."

"You haven't changed," Hayami chuckled, shaking his head.

Riku nodded, checking his surroundings. "Let's make sure our squads are aligned. No wandering off."

Kenji waved it off. "I might end up solo. You know how I am. I don't work well with most of the Imperial incarnates. Maybe I'll join Daidus, depending on the mission."

Riku gave him a pointed look. "Just... be careful."

They parted ways as the sun dimmed over the horizon. Elsewhere, in a realm called the Inverted World, a castle loomed upside down against the void. There, Judah stood beneath a skyless night, whispering into a rift between dimensions.

He looked toward Nala, who stood hesitantly at his side. "Come," he said. "It's time."

With a gesture, he pulled her into the Outer Worlds.

Back in the Silver Capitol, Daidus stood near the rally point, Hoshiko by his side. He gazed up at the sky, wondering if Nala had truly turned away from him... or if she was simply lost.

"Yo!" a voice called out. "Long time, no see."

Daidus turned to find Kenji approaching. "Wanna team up?"

Daidus nodded. "Have you chosen anyone else?"

Kenji shrugged. "Not really. No one here interests me. Fighting you would be boring with that Beginning Dominance of yours."

Before they could exchange more, Halo, the First Incarnate, stepped forward. His voice thundered through the crowd of elite incarnates.

"The White Order has resurfaced. Intel from the Imperial City confirms they've been kidnapping incarnates... draining them of power. The purpose remains unclear—but it must be stopped."

Hayami raised an eyebrow. "So, we're to take them out?"

Halo nodded. "Yes. Multiple squads will be dispatched to different locations. However, your group," he said, pointing to Daidus and Kenji's team, "will have a special assignment..."

Halo's gaze hardened. "You're hunting the Hero Hunter—Yamata Hajime."

Just then, Brielle, Kyte, and Straya arrived.

"I heard the name Yamata," Brielle said, tightening her grip on Sheng Xie. "Then I'm coming too. This isn't just a mission—it's justice."

Without further delay, the group stepped through the divine gate Halo summoned.

The world fell silent.

"What... is this place?" Brielle whispered. Fog wrapped around their legs like smoke.

"I don't know," Daidus replied. "But something's wrong. The Stargazing Tree never opened a gate to a place like this."

Kyte looked around. "This isn't a realm of the Tree's making. Something else is manipulating reality."

Kenji nodded. "I'm getting an eerie feeling. The White Order... they might be trying to manufacture a Star Child."

"That would explain the experiments," Hoshiko said quietly. "Using the Time Dial... recreating power."

Halo appeared again, his voice grim. "This gate isn't bound by history. The Tree never authorized this passage. Be cautious. If needed, Kyte will retrieve any wounded. Only those from the higher families should engage major threats."

They advanced through the void.

A vast utopia stretched out ahead—a gleaming kingdom framed by black stars and inverted skies.

A voice echoed.

"So we meet again... filth."

Daidus froze. He knew that voice.

"Judah," he muttered. "Why are you here?"

"Simple," Judah replied, appearing in his astral form. "This realm is... not real. Just a projection. But that won't stop me from watching your downfall."

Kenji rolled his eyes. "Nice speech. But are you gonna fight, or just monologue?"

Judah smirked. "You talk too much. Kiseki no Mon—Miracle Gate. Deal with one of my followers."

A portal opened beside them. Kenji stepped through without hesitation.

"Guess I'm the welcoming party."

The ground split. The others were pulled through different gates, scattered across this fractured world.

Before disappearing, Judah looked at Daidus one last time.

"We're not finished," he said. "Chronus... has plans for you."

And then, silence.

"Where... are we?" Hoshiko asked. Only she, Daidus, Brielle, and Straya remained in the glimmering wasteland.

"I don't know," Daidus said. "But I'm going to find Judah—and finish this."

"Calm down," Straya said, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Remember Kyte's portal. We're not alone."

Daidus gritted his teeth. "He's connected to the White Order. If they're really creating a perfect incarnate, we have to stop them before they succeed."

Hoshiko looked away, heart pounding.

"Daidus... I'm the missing Star Child. I was the one they wanted."

His eyes narrowed. "I know. That's why I saved you."

Suddenly, the sky cracked. A dark figure dropped from the sky, landing before them.

"Lord Judah said you'd be here," he sneered. "I am Hachimura."

Daidus stepped forward. "This isn't what you want. Back off."

"Oh, but it is," Hachimura grinned. "Time for a little puppet show."

Shadow Puppet Dance — Kage no Odori

His body fractured, forming two exact clones, each emanating killing intent.

"We'll deal with you quickly," they snarled. "And then the girls."

"Say one more word," Daidus growled, "and I'll kill you."

One clone darted toward him, laughing.

"Where's your confidence now, Star Child?"

But Daidus didn't flinch. "You people think the White Order will protect you. They won't. Harnessing others' power doesn't make you strong. It makes you weak."

The name Yuto Hajima was mentioned—Hachimura's real target.

Daidus narrowed his eyes. "Who is Yuto Hajima?"

But before he could question further, Hachimura lunged.

Daidus responded instantly—lightning crackled as cherry blossom-shaped clouds swirled above him.

Narukami Shio — Purple Exploding Cherry Blossom Clouds.

A roar echoed as the petals exploded midair, stunning the clones.

Meanwhile, Judah felt a disturbance.

"This power..." he whispered. "Could it be... Chronus Hajima himself? No... someone has hidden this well."

He vanished again, leaving Daidus burning with resolve.

Elsewhere, the other incarnates arrived in their own sectors of the Higher Worlds.

Riku, Hayami, Suki, and Takima moved toward the disturbance. Suki and Takima slowed.

"This place..." Suki whispered. "Something's off."

Takima unsheathed her blade—black as the void, speckled with glowing stars.

Hoshi no Ha — Blade of Stars.

"Stay behind me," Takima said. "Something's coming."

Chapter 14: Sibling Cataclysm

A storm gathered in the air, thick with power and revelation.

As the world around them trembled, Hachimura stood still, realization dawning slowly in his eyes.

"...So that's who you are," he muttered, facing Daidus. "So long as he breathes, your fate is sealed. You're his brother. You bear the mark. The eyes... the aura. I see it now."

Daidus narrowed his gaze. "Brother? What the hell are you talking about? My mother was murdered."

But Hachimura didn't respond. He stepped back, lowering his head in eerie reverence.

"Then it's only right I give you the respect you deserve," he whispered. "From one creation to another."

In a flash, the tension snapped. Straya's body convulsed, overtaken by an uncontrollable scream. Her body unleashed a radiant pulse—part pain, part divine backlash. Whatever the source, it was overwhelming her. Brielle and Hoshiko rushed to her side, while Daidus clenched his fists.

He'd used Beginning Dominance again—so deeply, so suddenly—that time itself had rewound the damage. The clouds dispersed. Hachimura blinked. He hadn't seen the move. The battle was already over.

"Let's find the others," Daidus said flatly.

"Right behind you," Brielle replied, helping Straya to her feet.

Hoshiko looked toward the east. "Kyte's portal... I remember the way."

Meanwhile, across the fractured sky, two other incarnates stood in silence—Riku Hasumi and Hayami Ryujin—staring at a pale figure emerging from the dark fog.

He looked almost like Daidus... but colder. And unhinged.

"My name isn't Yuto," the man said quietly. "It's Yuto Hajima. Brother to Daidus."

Hayami stepped forward. "That's a lie. Daidus never mentioned a brother."

Yuto tilted his head. "That's because he doesn't know. But I do. And I've been waiting..."

Riku hesitated. "He's not wrong. He's got the aura... the red streaks in his hair, the same eyes. Just... corrupted."

Yuto smirked, and shadows swirled around his limbs. "Let's play, shall we?"

He vanished into mist—then split into shimmering clones.

"Shadow Lens Style: Mirage!"

Hayami reacted instantly. "Cloud Dragon Cry: Tenfold Strike!"

"Guide my arrow, goddess of dusk," Riku chanted. "Diana's Pierce—now!"

A streak of holy light soared, piercing through the clone—only to hit mist.

Yuto chuckled, reappearing behind them. "You two are strong... but not entertaining enough."

Far away, in a flashback beneath the Stargazing Tree...

Vesta stood across from Chronus Hajima, her eyes filled with fire.

"What do you want from me?"

Chronus's smile was jagged. "It's not what I want. It's what our child will become. Yuto will be my masterpiece."

"Your curse, you mean," Vesta snapped. "Daidus was born a Kiken. He will never become like you. His blood may be mixed—but my will is his guide."

Chronus's expression soured. "He'll be banished. Or worse—hunted. You know what the Order does to anomalies."

"I'd rather die than let you shape him," Vesta spat. "The Tree knows. And it will be your undoing."

Back in the present—

Yuto's laughter rang across the broken field. "Big brother... I've waited so long. And now... you're almost here."

He snapped his fingers.

"Big Bang Creation: Final Overdrive."

The sky tore open.

Hayami and Riku staggered backward as the universe itself began unraveling. Stars blinked out. Time dissolved. They stood on the brink of total annihilation.

"You're insane!" Riku shouted. "You'll die too!"

"I welcome death," Yuto sobbed, eyes wild. "It means I'll be reborn in our father's image. With our mother's tears in my hand. I will become... a heavenly god."

Everything began to fade. Until—

Daidus appeared.

He stepped through the wreckage like a calm ripple in a raging storm, Takima and Hoshiko behind him.

Yuto's eyes widened. "Ahh... Big brother. You finally came."

"Yeah," Daidus said coolly. "And you're done."

Takima looked to Daidus. "Who is this guy?"

"I don't know," Daidus muttered, "but he's dangerous. Stay back and guard Hoshiko."

Yuto grinned madly. "Another girl? Risky move, brother. Want to see how fast she burns?"

Daidus's aura cracked, lightning curling around his feet. "Takima. Pata Form IV."

Takima drew her celestial blade—its edge shining with constellations.

Yuto clenched his fists.

"Complete Index."

Golden inscriptions glowed in the air—hundreds of them. Time bent.

"You think you can fight me with swordplay?" Yuto laughed. "Intention of God! I impose divine law upon you—your blade cannot be drawn!"

Takima froze.

Hoshiko's eyes widened. "That's... forbidden White Art! Only the highest ranks of the Order knew that!"

Yuto began to chant, declaring himself divine as halos flickered behind him. "Tell me, brother—how do you fight God?"

Before Daidus could respond—

A ripple surged across the sky.

Kenji Yaku, Kyte, and Suki Mikage appeared, followed by a frustrated Halo.

"Everyone, stand down," Halo warned. "The situation just escalated."

In the shadows, Judah watched from afar, smiling coldly.

"This is amazing," he whispered to Nala beside him. "Look at him, Nala. Yuto Hajima... the Incarnate Child of Chaos. Our perfect creation."

"You actually made it work..." Nala murmured.

Judah smirked. "The White Order. Me. A little help from the Outer Ones. And voilà... perfection."

Back in the storm—

Daidus slowly approached his brother, unbothered by the divine pressure around him.

"So this is it?" Daidus asked. "Is this all you have?"

Yuto's smile cracked. "You mock me...?"

Daidus raised his hand, and time froze.

The world went silent. Even Yuto stopped moving—paralyzed within a moment held still.

"...Let me end this," Daidus said quietly.

He used a hidden ability—something even Judah hadn't anticipated. An ancient dominion technique.

In a flash of neon purple and divine fire, Yuto was sealed inside a temporal loop, vanishing into a collapsing warp.

As the battlefield calmed, Daidus vanished without a trace, his mission unfinished but the immediate threat gone.

Brielle, Hoshiko, and the others found themselves transported back to the Navigation District of the Silver Capitol. But Daidus didn't return.

"He'll be okay," Brielle reassured.

But Hoshiko didn't respond. Her eyes welled up.

"...He promised he'd never leave me."

For the first time, Brielle truly understood her pain.

In the distant echoes of history... a war between incarnates brews, and the Last Legendary Hero is preparing to rise again.

—End of Chapter 14—

Chapter 15: Incarnate Garden

Judah stood at the edge of a crystalline basin, its waters dark and still, reflecting the looming gate to the Outer Worlds. Beside him, Nala watched quietly, her arms crossed.

"He's still in this world," Nala said firmly, eyes narrowing. "We can use the translucent gate. Bring him here."

Judah chuckled softly, his tone almost patronizing. "Ah, Nala, dear... that won't work. Not yet. He's not ready to see what we've built." His smile sharpened. "But he will. Oh, he will."

He turned, arms spreading toward a vast space veiled in violet mist.

"The Incarnate Garden," he declared. "Soon to be complete. A paradise for perfection. A prison for the flawed."

Behind him, Sapphire Ten approached, her robe fluttering in the artificial wind. "Preparations are 95% complete," she said. "Emerald has eyes on him—he's nearing the locked corridor."

Judah raised an eyebrow. "The door to him? I thought the creature was still sealed."

"He is," Sapphire replied. "But Daidus got close. The perfect one... can already sense him."

For a moment, Judah said nothing. He turned back to the mist, his voice a whisper. "So he found the edge of what even the White Order feared."

He laughed under his breath.

"Then let him see it."

Elsewhere, within the Garden's lower chambers...

Daidus stood before a massive stone door. Glowing runes shimmered across its frame, pulsing like a heartbeat. A chill passed through him, but he didn't flinch.

"Who are you?" Daidus called, his voice echoing through the chamber.

A low growl responded.

"My name is Kizer," the voice replied. "I am the one they sealed... the one even your gods feared. And you... you're the perfect one they talk about."

Daidus rolled his shoulders, unimpressed. "If you're so powerful, why are you locked behind a door?"

Kizer snarled. "You mock me, child?"

"No. I'm just bored."

A pulse of dark energy cracked through the stone, and the silhouette of something monstrous stirred behind the barrier. Daidus stepped closer, a faint grin spreading across his face.

"If you're the nightmare," he said coldly, "then what does that make me?"

Silence fell.

Then the voice responded with a whisper: "A devil."

Daidus laughed, not out of madness, but certainty.

"I'll fix everything," he murmured. "Even if I have to destroy it all first."

Suddenly, a voice—older, wiser—rang out from within his mind.

"What is the choice you seek, child of the Tree? What power will you wield, knowing it will change all things?"

It was the Stargazing Tree.

Daidus froze. He could feel it now—its presence deep in his blood, in the fabric of the space around him. The Tree was watching. Listening.

And waiting.

The runes on the stone door flared.

The choice had been made.

The air trembled. Far away, back in the Imperial City, people paused mid-step. Mothers held their children tighter. Shopkeepers dropped their goods. The bells didn't chime. Birds didn't sing. The wind held its breath.

Because something was awakening.

Someone whispered, "Can you hear it? The Tree... the Tree speaks."

And then the voice—feminine, ancient, distorted—cut through the fabric of reality like a blade of fate:

"You have chosen the Greed Route."

The sky dimmed slightly. The capital's spires darkened at their tips. The Timegazer Tree's glow—normally serene—now pulsed like a warning.

Judah smiled from his platform.

"Oh, Daidus," he whispered, "you always were the key."

And deep within the sealed corridor, Kizer grinned in the.

Chapter 16: Return of the Star Child

Five years had passed since the Stargazing Tree had darkened from silvery radiance to a deep, ominous purple—its leaves and branches the only remnants of its old glow. No one could decipher what the Greed Route meant. Hoshiko and Daidus had vanished; their fates unknown.

Now, a new face appeared at the Navigation District to fill the void.

Zephyr Kiken, Daidus's younger brother, walked in under the watchful eyes of the higher powers. He paused as Lady Straya approached.

"Welcome, Zephyr," she said softly. "I know this must be difficult since Daidus... left."

He nodded, defiant yet nervous. "Mother and Father—they're broken. But I'll bring him back... I swear it."

A sudden announcement echoed across the hall:

A god-level bounty—5 million credits—on the man and woman known as the Star Child and the Legendary Hero! Capture them, and be richly rewarded!

Murmurs swept through the crowd.

Takima stepped forward, eyes steely. "Daidus and Hoshiko... could still be alive. We mustn't lose hope."

Zephyr clenched his fists. "He's never bored... not like this. I need answers. I need to face him... but I won't let anyone die."

Inside the hall, the atmosphere grew oppressive. Incarnates tensed behind their contracts, blades ready.

Suddenly, the district doors slammed open.

Daidus—and Hoshiko—entered.

Zephyr gasped. "After five years... you're dead. Mother and Father suffered, but—"

Daidus looked at him coolly. His hair crackled with violet lightning; his presence was electrifying.

"Things are different now," Daidus said. "And yes... I changed."

Zephyr's voice shook. "What did you do? I can feel your power surging. These people... they can't—tone it down! Talk to me!"

Daidus took a step closer. "You want answers, Zephyr? Fine. I'm awakened—linked directly to the Tree."

Zephyr staggered back. "Impossible... linked by blood?"

Daidus's gaze drifted. "Enough. Where's Halo?"

At that moment, Halo walked in, radiating authority.

"You should not be here," Halo said coldly. "This is a district for sanctioned quests, not vigilante justice."

Daidus chuckled. "Halo. You know why I'm here. I want the truth. About Gorden. About your benefactors."

Halo's eyes flicked with concern. "If you suspect the Tree's involvement... then you've already gone too far."

Daidus clenched his fist; lightning spilled from his fingertips. "You sent us into a trap. You know what we faced. Now talk."

Hoshiko stepped forward, placing a calming hand on Daidus's arm. "Hear him out."

Daidus's violet aura flared. Without breaking gaze, he unleashed a stunning arc of energy—Raikiri Garden—a cascade of pink-lit tulip lightning.

Halo's defenses faltered.

Hoshiko moved in a graceful circle, casting a radiant seal—Starfall Dance—astounding the onlookers.

Halo's voice trembled. "You... you're a true Star Child now."

He paused, disoriented, and the hall fell into tense silence.

Zephyr stepped closer. "What about the boy who looked like you—said he was your brother?"

Hoshiko's voice quivered. "Who was he?"

Halo's face went pale. "He—he spoke of Yuto. Chronus's secret son. The perfect incarnation."

Daidus cut in. "What about Judah? Chronus? Give me the answers."

Halo closed his eyes. "It's too big. Too dangerous. I won't—"

Suddenly, the doors warped and Lily appeared, aura crackling. "Enough of this. This is not the place." With a gesture, she warped all three—Daidus, Halo, Zephyr—out of the Navigation District.

Chapter 17: Secrets Unveiled

They rematerialized in the hushed throne room of the Silver Capitol—a secluded chamber used for urgent council.

Lily stepped back. "You have all the information you need. The rest... is policy."

Daidus paced. "I need the whole story."

Zephyr leaned forward. "The Tree changed when the Greed Route was taken. People fear what comes next."

Halo looked between them. "You unleashed something in the Incarnate Garden," he said quietly. "Something sealed by Kizer. Something our masters... wanted contained."

Daidus's heart pounded. "So the Tree—My Tree—has a darkness?"

"Yes," Straya's voice echoed. She had followed Lily into the secret room. "We engineered this mission to protect everyone... but it failed."

Daidus closed his eyes. "What about Chronus... Judah... Yuto?"

Halo sighed heavily. "Chronus sought perfection. Judah manipulated events. Yuto was a byproduct—born on the wrong side."

Daidus's hand clenched the tala ring at his wrist. The ring hummed in response.

"I will make this right."

Zephyr's voice was small but firm. "Then we do it together."

Daidus met his brother's gaze.

"Together," he affirmed.

Chapter 18: Questions & Answers

Back at the Navigation District, tension simmered in the air. The shadows of Daidus's return and confrontation still lingered. Kenji Yaku paced restlessly as he faced Halo, the supposed leader of the Incarnate Registry.

"Yo, Halo," Kenji said sharply. "Is any of it true? Anything Daidus said?"

Riku Hasumi stood beside him, arms crossed, expression unreadable. "He looked beyond furious. Whatever he found out, it wasn't just paranoia. We all have a right to know."

Halo adjusted his cloak, voice low and distant. "He disappears for five years, returns spewing conspiracy and delusions... and you believe him?"

Without warning, Lady Takima stepped forward from the back of the chamber, her presence silencing the crowd.

"I don't think he's delusional," she said, her voice steady. "Whatever Daidus saw, it changed him. And we need to understand why."

She turned to Halo. "You sent him on that mission. You owe us answers."

Halo scoffed but before he could reply, Zephyr Kiken entered. "It's too late. He's already gone—with Kyte. If you want answers, you'll have to find him."

Scene Shift: The Kiken Manor, Imperial City

The towering gates of the Kiken estate creaked open as Daidus, Hoshiko, and Lily made their way through the ancestral grounds. The air was heavy, as if the very stones remembered the weight of their family's legacy.

"So much for laying low," Lily muttered.

"If you knew what he was doing," Hoshiko snapped, "you'd understand why we had to come back. Yuto can't be allowed to roam freely."

She turned to Daidus. "And did you know? That he was your sibling?"

Daidus stared into the dusk. "Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't want to believe it. My mother... she never said. But now I know something's wrong. Something ancient. And it involves Halo."

Lily narrowed her eyes. "You think he's behind it all?"

Daidus nodded. "I saw things. He's sacrificing incarnates. Using demigods as vessels—to forge soul weapons. That's beyond White Order territory. It's forbidden."

Hoshiko looked shaken. "You think Yuto... is one of those vessels? That would explain his deathless power. What kind of person survives Big Bang Creation?"

Before more could be said, a knock came at the gate. Daidus's family butler entered.

"Sir... Lady Takima and Lady Straya have arrived. Shall I let them in?"

Daidus exhaled. "Yes. But keep Lily close. If anything happens, she opens a portal—immediately."

Lily nodded. "Understood, commander."

Inside the Kiken Manor

The grand sitting room was quiet, lit by flickering soul-crystals along the walls. Daidus, standing at the window, turned as Lady Straya and Lady Takima entered.

"You finally came," he said without looking at them. "Tell me... did you come out of concern, or out of fear of what I've become?"

Straya stepped forward. "You left without a word. And now you return, nearly killing Halo. We deserve to know why."

Hoshiko folded her arms. "That mission—Halo tried to sacrifice more incarnates. We stopped it."

Takima's expression faltered. "That's... impossible. Those rituals are practiced only by the White Order."

Daidus laughed bitterly. "Who says he isn't one of them? Or worse... enabling them."

Straya raised an eyebrow. "Nala doesn't have that kind of reach. She uses sealed barriers. Halo, on the other hand..."

"—has a primordial gate rune," Daidus interrupted. "A power that lets him pass through space and worlds freely. Who else has that but a goddess-tier rune holder?"

Hoshiko frowned. "How could Halo possess that? Only the gods..."

Lily stepped forward. "Because he's the First Incarnate. Practically divine. But just because he's powerful doesn't mean he's invincible."

Takima shook her head. "Even if what you say is true... none of us can stop him. None of us can kill him."

Lily smirked. "That's where you're wrong."

She raised her hand, and the air shimmered with a buff seal.

"With the proper blessings, elemental amplifiers, and tactical support... we can beat him."

Silence filled the room. Then Daidus turned, his gaze burning with resolve.

"Then we gather what we need. We end this."

Chapter 19: My Beloved Master

The midnight lamp cast soft shadows across the Kiken manor's grand hall. Lily and Hoshiko pored over detailed scrolls, mapping out their next steps—ancient seals, elemental conduits, and powerful runes they needed to locate.

A long exhale echoed behind them.

Daidus rubbed his temples and offered a tired suggestion.

"Maybe we should... get food."

Straya's eyes softened with concern. "You seem... distant. What's on your mind?"

He paused, gaze unfocused. "I need to step away. I'll be back soon."

Before they could reply, a sharp zap of lightning echoed. The lights flickered—and Daidus was gone.

Hoshiko's heart raced. "He's not okay."

Straya and Lily exchanged glances.

Moments later, Zephyr stormed in, alert. "What was that sound?" He looked around, already suspecting the answer. "Where is he?!"

"He left," Straya said calmly, stepping between Zephyr and the doorway. "Alone."

"I'm going after him," Zephyr snapped, already charging energy into his technique.

"Don't," Straya warned. "He's fighting something internal. Let him breathe."

Meanwhile — Lower West District, Imperial City

The streets were alive with late-night energy, but Daidus walked as though in a world of silence.

His mind was caught between timelines. Between lightning strikes. Between memories.

A crackle of divine light...

A familiar song floated in the air—gentle, angelic, and painfully nostalgic. He stopped in his tracks. He'd heard that melody before. Her melody.

Then he saw it.

A glowing white rabbit darting down the road, trailing strands of divine light.

"Oswald?" Daidus blinked. "That—no way..."

He followed quickly.

Astrape's Temple

The winds shifted. The stone path gave way to a vast field crowned by a sacred structure.

Oswald waited by the edge of the temple. His expression held both warmth and weight.

"You've come," he said simply.

Daidus looked up at the sanctuary. The air was dense with emotion. Her scent still lingered—lavender and lightning. The energy made his chest ache. Every memory of Astrape came crashing back.

Oswald placed a hand on his shoulder. "Hana's inside. She's been waiting."

Daidus nodded silently.

They stepped into the candle-lit temple, passing celestial relics, old sigils, and an altar still charged with static.

A soft voice came from the rear room.

"Oswald...?" it called, hesitantly.

Then the door opened.

Hana, Astrape's daughter, emerged—now grown. Her long silver hair shimmered like her mother's, her eyes full of grief and longing. But when she saw Daidus, they filled with warmth.

"You... you really came."

She ran to him without hesitation, wrapping her arms tightly around him. Tears streamed freely as she whispered, "Thank you for being there... for her."

Daidus stood frozen for a moment, then slowly returned the embrace. The moment was silent, deep, and filled with memory.

Then, in a flash of emotion, Hana pulled back just slightly—and kissed him.

It wasn't confusion. It wasn't impulse. It was promise.

"I'll follow you," she said softly. "No matter what."

Outside the Room

Oswald stood quietly, waiting for the storm to pass.

Eventually, Daidus re-emerged, his face calmer—changed.

He walked to Oswald and asked, "You said she left something for me... a gift?"

Oswald smiled faintly and opened a satchel. Within was a radiant relic sealed in divine cloth.

Astrape's Spear.

"The Stormcaller," Oswald said. "She said... if he's still standing after everything, give it to him."

Daidus took the spear reverently. The moment his hands touched it, a violent pulse of electricity surged through him. The room darkened. The torches flickered.

He could feel her presence again—crackling in every nerve, guiding him from beyond.

"I... can feel her," he whispered.

Oswald smiled through misty eyes. "She's proud of you."

"I'm taking you both with me," Daidus said quietly, turning toward the doors. "There's still more to do."

Back in the Imperial City — Kenji's Ramen Stall

Meanwhile, Lily, Hoshiko, and Straya arrived at the Yakult Family Ramen Booth, deep in the heart of the Navigation District.

Kenji Yaku was wiping down the counter when Hoshiko ran up to him.

"Kenji—have you seen Daidus?!"

He looked startled, eyes darting to her face. Her irises... they were dim—almost grey.

He blinked. "Damn. You alright?"

Straya touched Hoshiko's shoulder gently, but she was trembling.

Kenji scratched his head. "Nah, I haven't seen him. But I think you need fresh air more than answers right now. Take a walk. See the stars. They always helped him too."

Chapter 20: Astrape's Spear

The moon hung high above the Imperial City, bathing the earth in its cold silver glow. Stars glittered like scattered diamonds in the sky, illuminating the temple grounds where Daidus, Oswald, and Hana now stood.

A quiet breeze passed through the sacred field.

Daidus looked up, holding Astrape's spear—Stormcaller—as it shimmered with a neon pink aura, surging gently with the power of its previous wielder.

"She's still here..." he whispered.

Beside him, Oswald nodded solemnly. "That spear's more than a weapon. It's her last gift to you."

Back in the Imperial City — Kenji's Ramen Booth

The mood was heavy.

Hoshiko slowly backed out of the booth, her hands trembling. Her lips parted, trying to speak, but her knees gave out.

"Hey!" Straya caught her just in time before she collapsed.

"I don't get it... Why won't he talk to me?" Hoshiko's voice cracked, her eyes empty and colorless. "Am I not important to him anymore?"

Lily, growing more concerned, asked gently, "What exactly... is your relationship with him?"

Hoshiko opened her mouth, then fell silent. Her chest tightened as memories of their time together overwhelmed her.

Just as Straya went to comfort her, she paused.

"Wait... Zephyr! He said he was heading west... toward Daidus."

Before Lily could cast a gate—

BOOM!

An explosion echoed from the west side of the city, shaking windows and startling everyone.

West Side — Imperial Gates

Zephyr Kiken stood at the edge of a crater, breathing hard.

Before him hovered Daidus, the aura of Beginning Dominance coursing around him, Hana holding onto his arm, and Oswald beside him like a quiet storm.

"Who the hell do you think you are?" Zephyr shouted, lightning beginning to crackle at his fingertips. "You vanish for five years, then show up like some divine king with a new woman clinging to your side?"

Daidus didn't respond.

Oswald, voice low and sharp, stepped forward. "He just lost his master. Show some damn respect."

The wind turned violent.

Zephyr's fists clenched. The Kiken energy in his blood boiled as he leapt forward—Tempest Dash igniting from his soles—closing the gap in a blink.

But Daidus raised his left hand calmly.

"Stormcaller."

The spear manifested in a flash of lightning—bright, humming, and crackling with fury.

"I don't want to fight you," Daidus said coldly, eyes narrowing. "But if you keep coming—"

Zephyr didn't stop.

Daidus sighed. "So be it."

With a single swing, he invoked a devastating move:

"Shi Ryū no Denryū: Haipo Furakkusu"

(Purple Dragon Current: Hyper Fluxx)

A roaring dragon made of pure lightning surged forward, twisting through the air like a storm made flesh. It struck Zephyr mid-dash, locking him in its coiled current and shaking his body with endless volts.

Still he fought.

Hana stepped forward. "No one lays a hand on my master."

Her eyes glowed with divine mana as she summoned her own arcane symbol. The air began to vibrate with power.

"Eternal Bond: Oracio Arc!"

(Eien no Kizuna: Orakurvāku)

A glowing sigil erupted beneath her and Daidus, spiraling outward with thick magical threads. The sky split as a bolt of mana energy blasted Zephyr, sending him hurtling across the sky.

He landed hard—nearly 50 miles away, crashing into the distant Heaven's Mountain with a seismic boom.

But in the blink of an eye—Daidus and Hana were already standing in front of him again.

"How..." Zephyr whispered, coughing.

"You need to wake up," Daidus said, stepping forward. "There are bigger things going on than your fragile pride."

Zephyr struggled to rise, wiping blood from his lip. "Why should I listen to someone who acts like a god?"

"...Playing hero," Daidus muttered, his eyes dimming. "...Playing god..."

Zephyr threw another punch.

Daidus caught his wrist midair. A symbol glowed under Zephyr's sleeve—a tattoo.

"Wait—this mark..."

Before Daidus could ask, Zephyr gritted his teeth and flung him away with a pulse of wild force.

Transcendence Gate — Arrival

Back at the Kiken Manor, Hoshiko stirred, consciousness returning.

"I need to find him," she said urgently.

Lily stepped beside her. "I found where the battle began... and where it is now."

She opened a glowing translucent crimson gate, and the three women stepped through—

—onto the scorched peaks of Heaven's Mountain.

"DAIDUS!!" Hoshiko shouted the moment she saw them. "STOP!"

But it was too late.

The tattoo on Zephyr's arm had activated—it was the mark of the Grey Star Clan.

Daidus's eyes flared.

He charged Stormcaller, holding it high above his head—then slammed it down.

The shockwave leveled the surrounding area.

Zephyr collapsed unconscious, body smoking, barely alive.

Return to the Kiken Manor

They brought Zephyr back to the manor for healing. Daidus, back in control, sat the group down to debrief them.

"There's another place," he said. "Safer. Quiet. Sacred."

He led them to Astrape's Temple, now humming with renewed power.

Hana greeted them proudly. "This is our sanctuary. Daidus is my master."

Straya narrowed her eyes. "Another one? What is it with you and mysterious women?"

Oswald stepped in. "They're not just bonded. They're family. Our master entrusted Hana and me to Daidus before she passed."

Everyone fell silent.

Even Straya softened.
