1 real life hour had passed by, finding for it, killing every players hunting me down, yet not a single one was obtained. This is an RPG game, it will take days to farm and finish the game. If I want them, I have to earn for it.
"I came back for you Mighty-!"
I one-shotted the low-ass level PKer at ease. How stupid are players thinking they could kill someone higher level than them.
I stared the ground below me, looking for an un-ordinary pebble. I stepped on one, there is a pickable item on my screen, just an ordinary pebble. I had stepped on a hundreds of rocks but this is the first time a pebble prompt pop-up.
Oh great, just great, why is a pebble even a pickable item. I picked it up and reads it's description.
'Just an ordinary pebble... Right?"
It is a common material item. But it's description stands out, the question. Is this it? Did I found it, why it's description like that?
I went outside the cave, it is daytime. I threw the pebble off my inventory to the ground and waited.
...
Nothing, nothing had happened, just great. But what kind of thing needs a pebble for it's material? Tsk, maybe some basic item I didn't even notice.
I should interact with the NPC again.
"Goodmo-" "Hello there-" "The sun-" "What do you-" "Are you-?"
Blah blah blah, it just repetitive dialogues. Nothing new.
"Well hello-" "Goodmorn-"
Skip. Skip. Skip.
"My son works at the blacksmith shop in this capital. Just telling you"
The same woman who said about his son and the pebble. This is the only blacksmith shop forging or mixing items into one. I might as well give it a try.
I started spamming interacting with the blacksmith. I have been skipping them many times I am not reading their dialogue.
"Welcome to my-" "The best black-" "Is that a Frost Broadsword in your inventory" "There was that time locals and other merchants from other capitals sold me ordinary items. When those items went near to each other, they started glowing. I don't know why but I mixed them and somehow turned into an enchanted pebble. The rest is... History"
Dissapointed filled over me. I leaned back on my chair, rubbing my nose in dissapointment.
The hint was here all along. I have been thinking for 1 hour and the answer was here all along. If I mix these materials, these rumorsof NPC are talking about will be answered.
So these are connected, the materials will be hard to find. But what I am confused right now is why would a low-level zombie drop something good if this blacksmith guy said all of the materials are ordinary?
There can be a lot of possibilities, it can be non-related, or it has something do with it. The materials and how he summoned the monster is unclear, but atleast we are going somewhere.
"Oh wait, it's you again. Hello"
I turned around, it was Matshika waving as she approached. She is level 11. I remember she was level 8 from the exp reward after the labyrinth.
"Matshika, nice to meet you again. So, you got a new teammate?"
She nodded and pointed behind her, there are a crowd of players outside talking at each other "Just joined a team. They are kinda toxic tho"
I raised an eyebrow "Toxic? How toxic?"
"Yoy know, trash talking, somehow blaming me for something I have not done, complain that I have to make them farm food ingredients. Yeah, a lot of things is happening just after we separated"
"Good supports are rare, and supports are sometimes hard to find because people don't want to just stay back and wanted action. If they’re treating you like that, they’re idiots. Well, if I were you, I will leave that group"
"But they need a support they say. And also they are the only one who let me in"
"Even so, we can't just let people continue to have that kind of behavior having something they want and suddenly blaming it for it"
"Yeah, I agree"
My mind flashed to PKerKillar, the one who tried to recruit me in the guild.
I walked towards the door "How about this, leave this team of yours and join the PKer Destroyers guild. Tell them you are sent by me. They might treat you well there"
"O-okay, thank you"
Again, I continued for the hunt. I killed every zombies on sight, studied their behavior in day and night.
Every daylight, I looked for the skies, hoping to find the bright white pigeon. Every moonlight, I hunt for the glowing thing though the grass.
My door suddenly opened "I am bringing you your food here because you might forget eat" she said and placed the egg fried rice near my keyboard
I took two hastily bites before going back playing. She woke up the other girls for lunch.
Then I finally found it, I found the glowing thing! 2 of them! Shouts of yes and celebration in my mind, but in the outside, I have a straight face.
"Holy shit Rael, you have on the screen for many hours now. You should go touch grass"
Zoey sat down on the couch with the other girl "Yeah, he has been this when we enter 8th grade. I am surprised how strong his eyes is"
"Yeah yeah talk about me like I am not in here" I said "Talk about me like I am not here"
They suddenly went quiet, just continuing to eat. I read the description of the glowing thing, a common material, Moonlight Tulip.
'A beautiful tulip that is alive and glowing in the night. It just glows and has no use, but somehow it is hard to find'
Two materials down, maybe 1 or 2 to go!
I spend minutes again, before finally finding the bright white pigeon and struck it with my bow.
'A bright feather. Well, it is used to make arrows but, this one is too expensive shiny and too big to turn it into an arrow. People still wonder what's it's use and why it exists instead of it just being bright"
3 materials down, but, the drop from the zombie thing wasn't still obtained. Maybe 3 materials is okay right?
"..."
Somehow the blacksmith's reaction interaction turned different.
"Why do you have those things traveler?"
I opened reforge but, there's no new items to create using the materials. I started interacting with the NPC.
"You are making me scared traveler" "Why do you have those items?" "... Do you know something about those?" "I... Whatever you are doing, stop"
He is saying the same panicking words, yet, he doesn't say anything how to make it. I am still missing something. I just place the material in my chest for the NPC not detect and interacted with him again.
"Long time ago, I once bought an enchanted bone from a traveler after defeating the Skeleton Giant in Capital Talos. When I placed it on my collections, it started glowing with some other materials"
The Skeleton Giant huh, I unlocked the new Capital Talos after reaching level 30 because of the hours of farming. The Skeleton Giant is level 35, I can still beat it.
I looked at the world map and looked at the drops of the Skeleton Giant. There it is, the Enchanted Bone. It has a 50% chance of dropping.
'The Enchanted Bone from the mighty Skeleton Giant near Capital Wales. It was obtained from the strong shin or forearm of the giant, it is enchanted for some reason but only in daylight, weak at night. People used it for decorations'
Dissapear at night, but appear at daylight. That means it can be only obtained in the morning. Well, let's do this then.
I teleported to Capital Talos and went straight to the boss. I found it, the developers made each steps of the skeleton to make a shake effect.
It is towering over me, it's left shin and right forearm shining, the rest of the limbs aren't. Holding only a big longsword and a shield. I looked at the Frost Broadsword in my hand. It's the best time to use this new weapon.
I entered the arena, it roared before entering battle mode. I circled around waiting for it to attack. It stanced itsself before it started swing it's sword at me.
One, two, three, four, I charged forward to land a hit. Wait a minute, there is a fifth!? It slow raised it's sword it's sword up and smash it at me, dealing a lot damage but not nearly half my health.
Okay, normal mistake. This is my first time fighting this boss. I attacked it after the combos before dodging back to wait for it again. It placed it's shield on the ground.
Don't tell this is a charging attack?
It charged at me with it's shield, I dodged out the way and started attacking from behind with my Fighter's Fury. It swung it's sword behind, I dodged and continued.
Some of my attacks sometimes apply slow debuff on it, slowing it down like moving in a slow motion, but never got freezed.
But somehow, I am realizing that I sometimes can't damage it. The shining shin maybe. It may looks useless but it's hard to hit the legs without hitting it with my big broadsword.
I dropped it to half health. It screeched, it's upper body was suddenly separated with it's legs. It dropped it's sword and shield and falls to the ground and instead crawled.
What the hell am I looking at right now!?
It leap up to me for an attack. I dodged out of the way try to land an attack after it land to the ground. It raised it's shining forearm to black.
My sword hit the forearm, suddenly, it flashed me. My vision weakened, I can't see around but only my character but a bright white light. My health started going down, I can see I am getting hit by the boss.
It stopped, my health stop at 1/4. Damn it, this is so stupid.
"Swinging Blade!"
I don't care if I get flashed how many time, I need that lifesteal. I started swinging my sword around, following the direction of the boss. It raised it's shining forearm again, flashing me and resetting the debuff.
I started moving myself as I swing my sword, trying no to get hit by it's attack. By the time it stopped, I started throwing basic attacks and with my Fighter's Fury.
I see now. I repeated the same pattern again, until I killed it. Phew, finally, my eyes are starting to get hurt by the bright screen. It started dropping loots.
A blue rare item, a bone dagger. That's for assassin's tho. I can sell it. Money, experience, potions, and a Enchanted Bone. Jackpot!
"Now, time to go back"
"That's an... odd collection you have there traveler"
I opened the forge menu. There it is, the Enchanted Pebble.
'Enchanted Pebble, so bright. It somewhat reacts with the sun's light'
I walked outside and dropped the stone to the ground. Nothing happened. Oh wait, I am so stupid I am in a safe zone. I picked it up and ran outside the capital, and away from the capital.
I went to a flat grassy clearing, near the cave where I got the pebble. I switched to my OP gears, I looked around, no players on sight. There are from the distant but they won't mind.
I haven't obtained new skills yet. I'll use Breaking Elbow just to make sure if it has armor, Charging Fists, and again, Fighter's Fury.
Okay, the moment of truth.
I threw the pebble to the ground and readied myself.
The pebbled started cracking, it shined from the inside. Health bar and a gray bar below started revealing at the top of my screen. Something is summoning in front of me.
A giant skeleton rose, same as the size of the Skeleton Giant. Then, it starting getting covered with flat dark blue pebbles like an armor. Gauntlets with sharp knuckles, sharp feets. It towered over me, looking at me with dark void eyes.
Level 45, Guardian Of The Light, that's it's name.
