Chapter 15:

Raid on Dream World: The Server of Happiness

I Promised to Save Them in the Chat, But Now My Virtual Ex-Girlfriends Are Living in My Living Room!

The day had finally arrived.

Both Sora and the girls were finally ready to head out to the amusement park.

However, long before the whole group could leave, a couple of hours earlier each had to choose what would be the most important thing in what could be a potential solo date... The outfit.

Nevertheless, all three had reached the same conclusion at the same time while searching for what to wear. "I have to show my best face," they all said simultaneously in their minds.

They were ready to prove their worth.

Sora was the first to come out to the living room. He took one last look at himself in the hallway mirror. He had set aside his casual clothes for a blue linen shirt over a white t-shirt. His gray pants and immaculate sneakers gave him an air of confidence he didn't even know he possessed. He had become a full-fledged Guardian ready for battle.

"If I'm going to spend my savings, at least I have to look like someone who knows what they're doing," he thought, adjusting his watch.

Suddenly, Shiori's room door opened. Sora fell silent for several seconds.

The Elite Mage Shiori had entered with a completely radical change.

Shiori came out sporting a style that made her look like an underground idol. She wore an oversized t-shirt with neon graphics that seemed to glitch, high-waisted denim shorts, a translucent gray bomber jacket, and long black stockings that gave her a futuristic touch. Her gray hair, usually somewhat messy, fell straight and shiny over her shoulders.

"Tank... is my new skin acceptable?" Shiori asked, adjusting her red glasses, though her cheeks had a slight crimson tone.

"You look... like you bought a premium skin!?" Sora managed to say, impressed.

Those words were enough to take her out of combat.

The Goddess of Spring Mochi had arrived.

Before Shiori could recover, the door where Mochi was slowly opened. If Shiori was modernity, Mochi was purity.

She wore a white dress with subtle floral details and a red ribbon at the waist that perfectly matched a Daruma figure. Her hairstyle, a side braid with white flowers, highlighted her face in a way that made the 90s comment seem like a bad joke.

"S-Sora?" Mochi said with a blush on her cheeks. She gave a little spin, making her skirt flutter subtly. "Do you think with this outfit my love stats will increase?"

For his part, Sora simply nodded slowly without taking his eyes off Mochi, unable to say a single word.

The Guild of Scraps had disappeared. In its place stood an SSR-level team ready to conquer the real world.

"Alright, girls," Sora said while trying to regain his composure. "Listen to me very carefully. Today we are not what Mika and her group called us... Today we are the owners of this server. Dream World doesn't know what's coming!"

The trio left the house with renewed confidence. The morning sun illuminated their new outfits, but what really shone was the spark of defiance in their eyes. They were going to have fun, but they were also going to prove to themselves that they were worth much more than any social label.

Walking through the neighborhood streets felt like entering a high-level zone with armor you don't deserve. The neighbors who usually didn't even greet them now stopped to watch them pass. Sora could feel their stares on him, or maybe on the girls.

Mochi, noticing the stares, clung to Sora's arm with a strength that didn't match her delicate appearance. It wasn't just affection; it was a declaration of ownership.

"Let them look all they want!" Mochi exclaimed with an intense, almost psychopathic smile. "That way they'll know my sweetie has the best guild of all. Although... If any of those external female players looks at you too much, Sora, I'll have to apply immediate purification."

The bus ride to the outskirts of the city was unusually silent, but not from discomfort. Shiori was concentrated on her phone, analyzing the Dream World map as if it were a video game raid layout, looking for routes with the shortest wait times. Mochi, on the other hand, hummed a song while looking out the window, her fingers playing with the ribbon on her dress.

Finally, the bus stopped in front of the large colorful arches that welcomed visitors to the park. Cheerful music, the smell of popcorn, and the sound of distant screams from roller coasters flooded their senses. It was the perfect setting for a system reboot.

"Welcome to the main server of fun," Sora said. "Girls, today there's no level limit for any of us three."

Just as they were passing through the entrance arch, Sora felt a familiar chill. It was that feeling when a world boss appears on your radar without warning.

A few meters away, leaning against a column, stood a girl who didn't quite fit in with the place. She wore an immaculate silk blouse and a skirt that screamed authority from every angle, plus a wide-brimmed hat that partially hid her face. Most unusual was that she held a file folder and a pen, observing the crowd with a look that seemed to be rating everyone's behavior.

When her eyes met Sora's, the girl straightened up. Her eyes gleamed with a mix of surprise and something that seemed like deep, contained indignation.

"Well, well..." that unknown person whispered, loud enough for Sora to hear. "It seems some people just like wasting their savings on expensive cosmetics instead of fulfilling their daily responsibilities. How... interesting."

Sora froze mid-step. That voice and that way of looking as if she were seeing an error on an exam... it was a presence that shouldn't be at an amusement park.

"Huh? Is something wrong, Sora?" Mochi asked, noticing her husband had stopped in place.

"No... it's nothing," Sora lied, feeling a drop of sweat run down his neck. "I just thought I saw someone. Shall we go in?"

As the trio advanced toward the game zone, the mysterious girl wrote something forcefully in her folder, without taking her eyes off Sora's back. The day of fun had barely begun, but Sora already felt that girl was watching them very closely.
