ACT 0 - PROLOGUE

Colored light from the stained glass windows flooded painting the hall in shades of crimson and gold. At the center of it all, A man knelt before the king’s throne

Kneeling there was a man with long bright-blue hair and sharp eyes that could cut down any opponent he faced. His athletic frame remained perfectly still, a shining sword resting at his side.

“Your Majesty,” he said humbly.

“Sir Aldis Alderman, you have done well in the recent war,” the king said. “As the King of the Sylidian Kingdom, I, King Ælfric Oswald the Fourth, shall reward you. What do you desire?”

The king waited patiently.

Sir Aldis kept his gaze on the ground for a few seconds before speaking.

“Your Majesty, forgive me in advance. But I ask that you grant your reward to someone else.”

King Ælfric pondered this, intrigued by what would come next.

The king rested his chin on his hand, studying the kneeling knight.
“Speak.”

“Your Majesty, my son Eldric will reach adulthood in a matter of days,” Sir Aldis continued. “As proud as I am of him, despite being among the few titled Paladins with Seven-Tier Swordsmanship by your grace… I have failed to pass down these skills to my son.”

Sir Aldis smiled faintly, keeping a hand over his chest.

“However, he is a knowledgeable boy. He spent his childhood in our library, and I am confident that he will serve you well if given the opportunity.”

King Ælfric stared at Sir Aldis for a long moment.

Then he leaned back on his throne and burst into laughter.

“Hahaha! That boy has grown up, I see.”

His laughter slowly faded as his eyes sharpened.

“Very well, Sir Aldis.” -

“As a reward,” the king began, “I will grant him authority over one of my barren lands that I choose. However, there are three rules he must follow.”

He raised one finger.

“Rule one: he must make the land flourish to a standard acceptable to me within three hundred days.”

A second finger followed.

“Rule two: he must not receive financial or political support from either of his parents.”

King Ælfric glanced at Sir Aldis with a faintly menacing smile.

Then a third finger.

“Rule three: I will lend him three hundred gold as starting capital. It will be a loan. By the end of those three hundred days, he must repay ten times that amount.”

The king leaned forward slightly on his throne, smirking before his voice hardened.

“Should he fail any of these conditions… I shall strip you of your title.”

The throne hall fell silent.

“And the Alderman family will serve the royal castle as domestic servants for three years.”

Hello Fellow Reader, welcome to the prologue of our adventure.

This serves as an introduction to give you a little more gist about the World, the habitant, my writing style and what to expect.

If you want to explore this yourself, feel free to skip this prologue and goes right to ACT I

I am so excited to bring this world to you.

Firstly, The World.

I want to create a medieval kind of style but with some advance technology for convenience. For example, people here use Pen instead of Quill but still uses wagon and horses as their main transportation.

Magic does not exist but some form of witchcraft does exist. Things like Health Potion and Antidote.

Mythical Creatures and folklore. I struggle whether to put this one in my vision or not. At some point, fighting a griffin and encounters a population of centaurs, befriend them and making trade routes could be interesting. But I tried to make this into a slice of life, comedy, city building as realistic as possible.

As of now I will follow my world building while keeping you the readers comment in mind.

Secondly, Writing Style (Warning Spoilers)

Since my lack of drawing skills and poor wealth to pay digital artist.

I used some A.I generative image to make and image similar to what I have in mind. This only serve to make a the readers have a better understanding. One can be seen in ACT III of when our heroes pulls up the map of the territory. Since there will be too much and details to put into world. I used A.I

I am sorry. But if my drawing skills become better or I can finally pay for a digital artist I would totally do it. So bear with me for that to comes in the future.

At First I want to breakdown important character in this prologue. With the design next to it. So you can imagine going forward how the character looks like. But maybe one day. Hahaha

Immersion

I like to make my own story to be immersive as possible. But sometimes if I think it will serve well for the comedic timing and story. I will make the character say something that a medieval time wont say.

Example:

Instead of saying “What !?” I will put “Nani !?”

This is due to my own up bringing mostly on Anime, Manga, & DND. And is inspired by them.

Extras.

I will be posting extra content on my Patreon/Buymeacoffee/Ko-fi.

Between paragraph you will see occasionally ( ) bracket. This serves as an editor comment or in this case myself. This serve as something that I want to say but I don’t want to break the worlds immersion.

Things like:

Their emblem alone carried immense authority. A knight of the order could command an army without question.
(Bro is build different)

I will also occasionally makes the character do something totally random. A fun style to the story. (yes I make my own fan fiction to my own story hahaha)

But since I don’t want that to ruin my story. I make it on the side on Patreon/Buymeacoffee/Ko-fi.(On its Way)

CAMEOS.

I like to put in some cameos here in there that doesn’t directly change the course of the story.

This is where I put my own personality putting on something that I like from other genre.
