Chapter 5:

Beginning of the End 1

Sirius sweat as he asked, “Why is your teleportation slower than a novice? I heard that it takes a novice to travel from 10 to 50 meters about four seconds for twice a day.”

Natsu blushed due to extreme embarrassment, “Don't remind me!” He was too flustered that he was unable to focus on flying so both started to shake and slowly fell from their current position.

Sirius panicked and screamed, “Concentrate on your flying. We're going to fall at this rate!” Natsu was back to his senses and focused on flying steadily. Sirius thought to himself, “Thank goodness! I thought my heart just stopped beating for a second!”

A few minutes later, they finally arrived at their destination. An arrow suddenly flew towards their direction. Both gasped when the arrow approached them and Natsu swiftly flew to his right to dodge it. He then landed Sirius safely to the ground, hid his wings, and both stood side by side as they stare into the battlefield filled with weapons on the ground, and white particles and ashes are seen far as the eyes can see.

Natsu said with his eyes widen in shock, “We're here.”

A Praesidium (Latin for Guard) Daemon who was starting to turn into ash hit a Gott using his crossbow at the back using a black orb and turned to ash at the last minute. The Gott who was shot with a black orb from the back screamed from the pain and turned to white particles.

Sirius said with worry, “The stationed Praesidiums are annihilated. Does this mean that--?”

Natsu replied, “Fortunately, many of our comrades are still alive. I can hear them up ahead. Let's go.” He ran ahead and Sirius followed right behind him.

At the other part of the battlefield, Eryl and Raaz, who already transformed into a hybrid dog and a hybrid bull, were shooting multiple Gotts with black orbs using both of their hands and all turned to white particles.

Eryl panted and complained, “There is no end to them! We've been doing this for hours!”

Raaz took out the small double axe design from his necklace, turned it into a large double axe, and swung it towards the army of Gotts. A black slash came out of his weapon and hit every Gott in front of them and replied to Eryl, “Stop complaining and just keep attacking! There are more of them compared to last time and besides...” While the Gotts turned to white particles, he continued, “...we're outside of Gehenna so these Gotts will be able to use their full power.”

Natsu, who was behind Eryl and Raaz, ran towards them and asked, “Guys, where's the boss and Psalm?” While Natsu asked, Sirius stood behind him and panted.

Eryl yelled, “You're late! The boss is further ahead somewhere fighting three Hauptmadns (German for Captains) by himself.” He suddenly jumped towards a crowd of Gotts, transformed his hands into dog claws in mid-air, and slashed many Gotts as he effortlessly landed to the ground in front of the crowd.

Raaz released another black slash with his double axe to the Gotts and replied to Natsu, “We don't know where Psalm went since he disappeared before coming here but I think he was looking for you two.” He noticed the panting Sirius and worriedly asked, “Are you alright? You've been catching your breath for a while now and you looked so pale. You looked like a vampire.”

Sirius replied as he continuously coughed every time he paused, “I'm fine... I've just been running... twice in... a row... I chocked on my saliva. So don't worry about me and fight to the fullest, for Gehenna's sake.”

Natsu said with a worried expression, “If you say so. Just tell us if something's wrong with your health right away, ok? Don't push yourself too much.”

After Sirius nodded to him, Natsu and Raaz ran together toward the battlefield. Natsu used his katana while Raaz used his double axe, Eryl used his claws, and other Daemons used different kinds of weapons in-hand to fight against the Gott army from a distance. Sirius was standing still from the same spot, looking at his comrades who were still fighting.

Sirius thought to himself, “That's my line, Natsu. You're worried too much about others without any regards to yourself.” His smile was only shown as he talked to himself, “I wouldn't be surprised that many would take advantage of your weakness. That's why...” The loud war cry from the battlefield drowned out the last part of his sentence.

On the other side of the battlefield, the Boss and his three Hauptmadn (German for Captain) Gott opponents were standing still as they towards each other for a couple of minutes since the invasion had started. They were completely motionless in spite of doing a fighting stance to get ready to strike anytime since the four leaders all knew well that if one made one wrong move, one of them would completely be sliced inti half and lose the other side's chance of winning. In this tense stalemate, who would make the first move? No matter how much of a disadvantage one could have if they make a move, they will also have to in order to gain the upper hand if the battle.

They have to tip the scale if they want to end their fight and aid their subordinates from the other side of the battlefield. While they all could hear the distinct noises that came from afar, the Boss thought to himself,

"What to do to finish this instantly? Based on the noises from there, their battle is already at the peak. Many of my subordinates’ lives may have already taken by them, but if I make one wrong move, I would be taken out by their quantities. Even if I'm the strongest of all of us here, these three matched my strength if they combine them and worse if they have great teamwork. These bastards also knew this, that's why they can't afford to lose their advantage and wait for me to move first. Tough luck, you chicks. I'm more experienced in fighting than all of your experiences combined so I know these kinds of tactics and it won't work on me."

The Boss smirked as he felt something strong in the atmosphere and continued, "Wait... What is this a huge amount of Impuritas (Latin for Impurity) being compressed together? Based on the direction it came from, it must be one of my captains. So... let's see... Oh, sh*t! Is he trying to annihilate everything around him? But thanks to him, these Gotts would be occupied when they saw him later and I would take that chance and strike."

"What the heck is that thing!? Is that a ball or something? There's also something floating below it", Hauptmadn 1 exclaimed as he saw a huge orb in the sky that came from the other side of the battlefield. Below the huge orb, there was a Daemon hovering in the air while his right hand was raised above his head.

"He made his move sooner than expected!". The Boss immediately dashed towards the third Hauptmadn (German for Captain) and blast his face with a pitch-black colored orb. This orb wasn't any other orb that other Daemons used. “Stantibus Celsior! (Latin for Titan)”, he thought to himself as soon as the orb was in contact with the Gott’s face.

This orb was originally the size of a literal Titanic, but it was so compressed together to resized it that made its color blacker than any other orb. If the regular orb can instantly deal a severe damage enough for a Gott to disintegrate into white particles, imagine that this orb was a huge asteroid compressed into a pebble and one couldn't imagine the damage dealt to his opponent. A huge explosion could only be heard from the other side of the battlefield, but since they were also occupied with their own battles, they couldn't hear one bit for their noise there was louder than that explosion.

From the Boss's battle, only a giant crater was to be seen. The size was as huge as only a quarter of Asia's continent.

The smoke started to clear out of the field. The Boss was able to form a barrier around him similar to how he made the orb earlier, so he got out unscathed from that huge blast. As for the two remaining Hauptmadns (German for Captains), they managed to form a thick barrier together as well, but they were too injured that they started to turn into white particles.

The Boss deactivated the barrier and immediately collapsed on the ground with a smile on his face as he continuously breathed heavily. He laughed non-stop as the Gotts finally turned to white particles and disappeared into the air.

The Boss thought to himself while still laughing, "Oh, crap. I never would've thought that technique had such a huge blast. If I reacted a millisecond late, I would've died by the hands of my own power. I'll thank those brats for their help, but for now... I have to lie down for a while since I can't move my body anyway even if I wanted to."

A few minutes later in the battlefield, the three captains kept on slashing the enemies around them.

Eryl yelled, “Sh*t! Do they have infinite soldiers or something? Or are they secretly zombies so no matter how much you defeat them, they'll just rise up again?”

Raaz complained to himself, “If only I learned how to master my Corruptio (Latin for Corruption) like the Le Livre des Esperitz (French for The Book of Spirits), I could defeat them faster and easier.”

Natsu said to his friends, “If only it was that easy to master a Daemon's strongest power, every soldier of Gehenna would literally become a walking disaster. I have the enough power to fire that technique. Fire the signal, Raaz!”

Raaz became surprised and complained, “Seriously! You really should tell us sooner about important things like that, ‘my pace’ bastard!” He quickly fired a black orb at the sky.

After Raaz fired a black orb, a huge colorful symbol appeared at the night sky like fireworks that had a huge sphere inside of a crimson red colored light ray that looked like a crown around it. It was seen by every Daemon around their area, and all reacted with a pale expression,

“Oh, no. Hurry and retreat! Run away as far as possible!” All Daemons ran away in panic from the battlefield as fast as possible.

Gott 1 asked in confusion, as they saw their enemies ran away in fear, “What was that about?”

Gott 2 said with a big smile, “I don't know what happened, but since they ran away...”

All Gotts cheered happily, “Yes, we won! Hurray! Let's head to Gehenna, as planned!”

While the Gotts ignorantly cheered for their victory, Natsu was hovering very high from the battlefield with his wings while having a pair of horns, and his hands up to his wrists turned to pitch black. He ominously raised his right hand in mid-air.
