Chapter 1:
Yu-gi-oh - new dawn
We arrive upon the middle of a duel, between two young boys. One with a rusted piece of machinery laid upon his arm with cards laying upon it, the other had a amalgamation of two designs of steel upon his arm one a deep blue the other half a sunny orange.
The first boy speaks as he rips a card from his rusted equipment.
“I draw!”
They spoke energetically with a wide grin as they looked at their card before placing it in their hand.
He then spoke once more. “I play trash goblin in attack mode” after saying these words he placed a card from his hand onto his rusted equipment, then it lit up and Infront of him a goblinoid creature appeared covered in trash from a trash lid helmet to a broken chair leg club.
The other boy then spoke “Trash goblin eh? Been a while since we furled like this Tosh, you sure that piece of scrap duel disk will hold up for much more?”
Tosh simply smiled as he responded “if it breaks I’ll just repair it, besides looks cooler then that messy duel disk of yours Ekle.”
He then followed up by saying with a gleam in his eye “but no matter you won’t distract me from declaring Trash goblins direct attack!” Tosh then pointed forward at Ekle as Trash goblin cackled and rushed foward wildly at Ekle.
Smoke then appeared as Trash goblin collided his club with Ekle and Tosh laughed.
“I finally got you!” He celebrated excitedly like a child before realising Trash goblin hasn’t disappeared yet meaning the duel wasn’t over.
As the smoke cleared he saw Trash goblin being chained by blue curved arcs while a purple card was revealed.
Ekle simply said “Your attack was put into low tide by my eclipse tide shurikens, this trap not only prevents your monsters attack but lets me tribute it treating it as two monsters.”
Ekle then cracked a smile “you always got ahead of yourself but I’ll teach you once more by tributing Trash goblin to summon eclipse braver.”
Trash goblin was dragged down by the blue arcs into the ground before a red-armour clad knight with a solar symbol built into its helmet.
Tosh’s face twisted in despair as he mumbled out childishly “Not fair… I pass my turn with one face down card…”
Ekle simply drew a card for his turn and added it to his hand before calmly stating “I’m playing the pot of eclipse spell card, this spell card lets me draw two cards by releasing a monster from my hand, goodbye eclipse moon maiden.”
Then moon maiden appeared in-front of him before descending into the ground as he drew his two cards.
After he simply glanced at his new hand and picked another card into his hand before placing it on his field “I summon eclipse dawn breaker, when this Monster is summoned it can resurrect one eclipse monster from my grave.”
The new paladin that had arrived simply slammed his fist into the ground before pulling out from it the deep blue maiden.
“Welcome to my stage moon maiden, but you won’t remain for long” Ekle started to gain a smirk.
Tosh realised what was about to happen and he lifted his hand “I activate the Trash pile spell card, when you summon a monster this spell prevents you from using it to attack or summon a new monster this turn” his grin wavered slightly as he knew this wouldn’t do much now that Ekle had two monsters.
Ekle simply watched as a pile of trash covered his moon maiden. “No matter, using my eclipse dawn breaker and eclipse braver I’ll simply build the overlay network.”
His two monsters turned into a sun and moon before flying up and twisting into eachother before flying into a portal on the ground. “When I use eclipse braver it can be treated as a level four monster when xyz summoning.”
The portal suddenly let energy burst through, as Ekle spoke neutrally “I xyz summon, rank 4 eclipse sun smasher. When eclipse sun smasher is summoned it can sacrifice another eclipse monster in order to attack twice this turn.” as soon as he finished his eclipse moon maiden was destroyed by his effect.
Tosh’s reaction was to desperately look through his cards in his hand before falling to his knees realising his defeat was assured as soon as Ekle sacrificed his monster.
Ekle simply pointed at him and declared “Eclipse sun smasher attacks you directly with twin sun strike clearing your life points.”
Sun smasher then rushed forward before slamming two hammers into Tosh from the right then above for 2000 life points each dealing 4000 life points total.
Then suddenly was announced ‘Game match: Ekle wins by damage.’
They both simply looked up at the machine that had been keeping track of their duel and recording the outcome as it live-streamed their game.
Tosh said dramatically as he laid face down to the ground “I lose again… I’ll never beat you in a duel…” he then lifted his head showing his overdramatic crying.
Ekle simply smiled as he walked over and held out his hand to help him up “Don’t be a baby, it’s just a single loss-“ he gets cut off by Tosh who accused him instantly “A single loss times 20 times consecutively you mean.”
Ekle simply laughed softly before responding “Well you keep making baseless plays and expecting to win each time you know what that’s called?”
Tosh proudly says “Confidence and willpower I know I’m great.” He said while stroking his ego.
only to be interjected by Ekle “Insanity Tosh, that’s called insanity, you need to learn strategy just because you can make powerful synchro monsters doesn’t mean you’ll win when you’ve got no strategy.”
“Your like a kaiba all brawn and no brains Tosh…” he smiled softly while pointing out his friends flaws.
Tosh gasped dramatically before putting his hand over his chest and saying with a theatric tone “Me? A kaiba never… just only when i summon my synchro monsters” he then grinned playfully at his friend.
After a bit of back and forth a bell rings out repeatedly making our two subjects freeze before looking up at the bell tower across campus.
“We’re late!” They both yelled out before scrambling to collect their bags and rush to class.
To be continued in the next chapter.
