Chapter 3:

The Silver Haired Watchdog

The Only Boy at an Elite Girls Academy That Wants Me Expelled

If Chapter 1 was betrayal…

…and Chapter 2 was psychological torture…

Then Chapter 3 was the beginning of my public execution.

I stepped out of the principal’s office with exactly two things:

A folder full of rules I hadn’t read…

…and a deep understanding that my life was no longer mine.

The vice principal walked beside me in silence.

Which was somehow worse than when she was talking.

Every step echoed down the hallway.

Every student we passed immediately froze.

Then stared.

Then whispered.

Word had spread.

Fast.

“That’s him…”

“The boy…”

“He’s real…”

One girl peeked around a corner like she was checking if I would attack on sight.

Another held her friend’s arm like I might suddenly lunge at them.

“…I swear I’m not dangerous,” I muttered.

“Silence.”

“Yes, ma’am.”

Why did I answer that so naturally?

This place is already rewiring my brain.

We turned a corner.

And that’s when it happened.

She appeared.

Standing in the middle of the hallway like she had been waiting.

Long, perfectly styled hair.

Sharp eyes.

Elegant posture.

The same girl from earlier.

The one the vice principal warned me about.

The student council president.

My heart skipped a beat.

Yep. I’m in love.

At least the tenth time since I’ve been here. It’s been very difficult not to fall in love in a school full of beautiful girls.

The vice principal immediately stepped in front of me like a human shield.

“President,” she said coldly.

“Vice Principal,” the girl replied calmly.

Her voice was smooth.

Composed.

Dangerously calm.

Her eyes shifted.

And landed directly on me.

There was a brief moment of silence.

The entire hallway seemed to freeze.

Students nearby stopped breathing.

Watching.

Waiting.

Judging.

“…So,” she said.

“That is the boy.”

I raised a hand.

“…Hi. I’m Re—”

“Silence, scum. No one told you to speak.”

The vice principal shot me a glare that could have ended my bloodline.

“Did you forget? Do not speak unless spoken to.”

“Yes.”

I lowered my hand immediately.

Why am I so obedient all of a sudden?!

And why am I suddenly into being spoken to like that?

I don’t like this new kink developing… but when it’s coming from the voluptuous vice principal, I can’t resist.

The student council president took a step closer.

Her gaze never left me.

She walked slowly around me.

Like she was inspecting something.

Or someone.

“…Interesting,” she murmured.

“Not particularly impressive. Average height. Average looks. Just about average at everything.”

With every remark, it felt like an arrow was shot straight through my heart.

The pain.

The humiliation.

She stared down at my private area.

“…Interesting. Seems… below average.”

Wow.

That hurt.

Emotionally.

Physically.

Spiritually.

I think my ancestors felt that one.

“HEY! Who do you think you are?! I just met you and you’re judging everything about me!”

The vice principal crossed her arms.

“I said silence, insect.”

“Fine.”

“Also, he will not be interacting with you.”

The president stopped walking.

Then smiled slightly.

“Actually…”

She turned.

“I came because of him.”

My heart skipped again.

Wait… what?

The vice principal narrowed her eyes.

“…Explain.”

The president folded her arms.

“As student council president, it is my responsibility to oversee any irregularities within the academy. This was also my idea.”

Her eyes flicked toward me again.

“And he is the largest irregularity we’ve ever had. It is also my responsibility to oversee a project I myself suggested to the principal.”

…Yeah, that’s fair.

“I’ve decided,” she continued calmly, “that I will personally monitor him.”

My brain froze.

“…Personally?”

The vice principal immediately shut it down.

“Denied.”

“Approved.”

Both of them spoke at the same time.

Silence.

Tension.

I slowly took one step back.

I feel like I’m watching two final bosses fight… two beautiful, big-breasted final bosses.

The president’s smile didn’t change.

“As per academy protocol,” she said smoothly, “student council authority supersedes observational assignments regarding student welfare.”

The vice principal’s eye twitched.

Barely.

But I saw it.

“…You are overstepping.”

“And you are being emotional.”

That one hit.

Hard.

The vice principal’s aura got colder.

If that was even possible.

After a long moment…

She exhaled.

“…Fine.”

Victory.

For the judgmental, beautiful student council president.

The student council president turned to me.

And for the first time—

She was standing directly in front of me.

Close.

Too close.

I could feel my heartbeat trying to escape my chest.

“You,” she said calmly.

“You will be under my supervision from this point forward.”

“…That sounds dangerous.”

“It is.”

“…For me?”

“Yes.”

“…Great.”

She turned without another word.

Then began walking down the hallway.

“…Follow me. I will be showing you to your room. Since there are no male dorms, we were obligated to specifically make a private place for you.”

“Wait, so I don’t get to stay in the girls’ dorm?”

“If you even think about staying in the girls’ dorm, I will make sure that you are executed.”

“Executed? What? You don’t have that kind of power.”

“Silence! If I can’t have you executed, then I’ll just have your family jewels cut off.”

“What is with everyone’s obsession with my family jewels?!”

I stood there for a second.

Still processing everything.

Then sighed.

“…Well, Ren… I guess this is your new life.”

I adjusted my bag and started walking after her.

We kept walking down a hallway that looked like a 17th-century king’s palace. Paintings and sculptures lined the walls, all looking like they were worth more than my parents’ entire yearly salary.

Seriously… who’s funding this school?

I’m actually kind of offended that my tax dollars are going to a school full of snobby, big-boobed hotties that won’t even let me cop a feel.

…Well, maybe not my tax dollars, since I don’t work and I’m only fifteen.

We stepped outside, following the student council president. Her beautiful hair flowed in the wind. I couldn’t help but admire how stunning she was…

…but her poisonous tongue sent chills down my spine.

We walked past a beautiful garden.

I couldn’t tell if I was still in Japan or if I had somehow entered heaven.

Before long, we reached a huge mansion.

“Well, Ren Arakawa,” she said, “this is where you will be staying.”

“Awesome. Thanks, Prez. So which room will I stay in?”

“Address me as President. Do not dare use any abbreviations with me. We are not that familiar. Also… any room you’d like.”

“…Huh?”

“By that, I mean this mansion is yours.”

“Aww, don’t be so cold, we can be friends, Prez— WAIT, WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?! DID YOU JUST SAY THIS ENTIRE MANSION IS MINE?!”

“Yes. Everything you need is inside while you stay at this school. This means there is no reason for you to ever go to the other dorms. The less contact you have with the other students, the better.”

She paused.

“Plus, I don’t see the big deal. It’s just a small house. My childhood home is ten times this big.”

I grabbed the president by her shoulders, tears in my eyes.

“Prez… you’re a guardian angel! I misjudged you!!”

“Ahhh! Get your filthy hands off me now, Ren Arakawa!”

“I’m sorry! I’m just very happy!”

“WELL MAKE SURE IT NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN, REN!”

“Oh yeah… that’s right. President, I never caught your name, did I? Would it be too much to ask?”

She looked down at me.

“I suppose I can bless the likes of you with my name.”

She turned slightly.

“My name is Nanami.”

She paused.

“Takayuki Nanami.”

Her eyes locked onto mine.

“Make sure you never forget it, Ren Arakawa.”
