Chapter 5:
even more side stories of the bloodbriar family
Later that week, the younger teenaged twin siblings of Diana, Malcolm, and Analise grew curious about Diana’s smoking habit. How did she remain so composed, even under pressure?
Diana decided to teach a small lesson—not about cigarettes, but about control and ritual. She paced slowly, inhaling and exhaling, demonstrating patience, precision, and calm. Beckett watched quietly, nodding subtly.
“The rhythm is everything,” Diana explained. “Timing, awareness, knowing when to act, when to pause. Art, life, teaching—it’s all the same.”
The twins scribbled notes furiously, sketching diagrams. Malcolm rolled his eyes, muttering, “So dramatic.”
Analise smirked. “And yet, it works. You can see it in her—total focus, total control.”
The chapter closed with the teens quietly impressed, realizing this was more than a habit—it was a lesson in discipline, patience, and observation, traits that guided Diana in all aspects of life.
