**Conclusion**
Manoj and Akshita were now together. Both were studying the same course at the same college—Hindi Honours.
If there was one thing that brought the greatest joy to Manoj’s life, it was that Akshita’s illness was finally improving.Akshita was now recovering from blood cancer, and at a good pace. The doctors said she would be completely healthy within about a year.
The thought of this made both of them overflow with happiness.
But one day, suddenly, all their happiness vanished.
Akshita was returning home from the market. It was evening. The streets were not crowded. Akshita was walking carefully on one side of the road when suddenly a Porsche car came speeding from behind and…
Akshita died on the spot. The driver didn’t even stop.
The police filed a case and investigated. It was discovered that the boy driving the car was the son of a politician. The police withdrew their efforts. The politician had bribed everyone, and everyone succumbed.
Akshita’s parents gave up.Death threats, stone-pelting…—all this continued for several days.
But Manoj did not give up. No matter how much his family tried to convince him otherwise, and despite receiving death threats, he continued to fight. He made videos of the whole case on YouTube, staged protests at Jantar Mantar, at the Parliament—everywhere. He shouted as much as he could, created as much noise as possible.
And one day, Manoj disappeared. The next day, his body was found lying on a road, somewhere. The police claimed it was a road accident, but anyone who saw his body could tell that he had been brutally beaten to death with sticks.
And after that, no one ever spoke about the politician and his son again.
