Chapter 30:

Final Shot: Run With The Wolf on The Never-ending Rainbow/ Viva★Killrights

KILLRIGHTS

The door in front of Vadars opened. The sudden burst of light haunted his eyes before a figure walked through. It was Navier, holding the green bag and tossing it to the ground. He took down his hood and smiled. Vadars could only stare.

"Rescue's arrived," Navier said before pulling out a pistol and shooting out the lock. It broke and he soon unshackled the Killright and taking him with. He walked over to his green bag and unzipped a compartment and gave the uniform to Vadars. "You've got a job to do."

Vadars looked at the uniform. This was the thing that has caused him so many problems and troubles. Who he was, what he was and forever it was going to be. Did seriously want to bring so much pain to himself and others around him? Was he willing to put it on?

He grabbed the cloak and eyed the huge symbol of a crucifix and two wings.

"Let's do it," Vadars said.

Uvo threw an air-cutting fist that was abruptly stopped by Keith's hard body. It was like trying to push an north-side magnet to another north-side magnet, impossible. He dashed around and tried different combinations of hooks, straights and, finally, a body tackle but nothing availed.

"You need to cut on some weight, lad," Uvo said. "Everyone can't be a big guy now."

Keith stared him down. "I'm going to kill you."

"Then do that then!" With a massive swing, Uvo struck him right on the jaw but Keith was as stiff as a pillar. The massive giant then reached out a hand, tightened it to a fist and bashed it straight into Uvo's chest, cracking some ribs and sending him across the whole room.

He crashed into a wall and laid dazed. Stumbling feet carried Uvo's body off the ground and coughed the dust and winded air away.

"Phew... nearly knocked me out." He took off his coat and rolled up his sleeves, his bulging arms threatening to rip his shirt a whole. "C'mon, now, show me a real punch."

Keith's nerves shot and he roared to smash down the annoying man in front of him. The knife stabbed out with each thrust of Novem's hand. Deacon dodged with simple steps that began to turn more and more frantic as Novem changed into a more aggressive style. The knife came into too close and Deacon grabbed his wrist and whipped out a backfist that caught Novem on the nose. He stumbled back and wiped his bloody nose, holding out another knife. With quick hands, Deacon slapped the knife-armed opposing hands away.

Each blade seemed to get faster and faster and the swings were getting just as complex. He thrusted out a punch and Novem slipped past and retaliated with a slice on Deacon's palm. A grunt and a twist of pain came from Deacon and he went for a bone-crushing kick that was dodged with a step back and using the momentum, Novem twisted into a spinning back kick. Deacon tumbled back and he switched his stance going in for more precise punches.

Novem was too quick, each punch swinging past his face. Novem countered with a knife strike but Deacon grabbed his wrist and smashed his Novem's face with a punch. Still grabbing, Deacon set up a body blow barrage. Novem crumpled and Deacon finished it with a knee strike. Novem stumbled and fell on his backside.

"Done already?" Deacon questioned. Novem glared and tossed his knife. Deacon dodged and by the time he looked back, a boot crushed his jaw. He fell back and a back kick greeted his stomach. The Killright lurched over and he coughed, falling to his knee. Novem looked down on him.

"I thought the Tertius Captain would be stronger than that. I guess I misjudged."

"With a gun and more space, most definitely." Deacon stood up, hands prepped. "I don't mind scuffling it out with scum like you." Novem rolled his eyes and dashed in close, knife in hand. His technique had changed and Deacon went in with a chopping right. He missed and Novem twisted with a kick.

Deacon blocked and leapt back, fists flying and blocking the knife strikes.

"Impero tibi: Humilis explosive."

A small burst of light caused Novem to back away and Deacon erupted out with a chaining strike of punches that pushed Novem in to a corner. The Chain Dog glared and and lashed out with more precise knife strikes. Each flick of the blade began to eat at Deacon, more and more.

"I see through you!" Novem exclaimed, the knife biting at Deacon. "You want to control this fight just like you want to control the Badlands!" A foot blasted out and Deacon began to shake at the impact. "You're a justice system failure. Your false discipline and order is nothing but a lie!" Deacon fell to his knee once more and his breathing began to fall out of rhythm. A foot cracked against his jaw and laid down, tired and beaten. "Accept your loss and die in hell," Novem commanded and went for the final blow.

Deacon suddenly thrusted out a hand and it stopped Novem in surprise. Novem stared at the palm and it quickly turned into a finger snap. A miniature explosion erupted and he fell back and the Killright picked himself up and went in one last time. He prepared a right hook into a left straight followed by a knee-crushing front kick. Novem howled in pain as his leg bent backwards at the kneecap. Just as he was about to fall to the floor, Deacon twisted out a round kick to his opponent's dropping face. Novem laid on the ground in pain and passed out. Huffing with exhaustion, Deacon lit a cigarette and looked down at the fallen man.

"I don't control everything." A hint of smoke left his lips. "Just enough to end it." Over ahead, Deacon watched his partner swing like a maniac as the brick wall ate everything that came its way. Uvo, flat-footed and tough, shot out stone-crushing punches but it didn't affect Keith in the slightest. The huge monster struck back and a large hook rocked Uvo back. The Killright stepped in and unleashed a tight string of body blows.

Keith grabbed Uvo and slammed him into the ground. Wind blew out of his lungs and a huge boot stomped on his chest. He couldn't breathe and he couldn't think not even a sliver of a thought. The boot twisted and Uvo coughed, punching at the foot and he managed to find enough space to roll out and inhale as much air as he could. His ribs cracked but he didn't care. He needed to live. Finding his feet, Uvo prepped his arms and laughed, blood dripping out of his mouth.

"C'mon," Uvo provoked. "Give me another toss or are you too tired?" Keith's face began to twist and he ran forward, a fist thrown out and Uvo grabbed the massive arm, punching at the joint and under the armpit. Keith grunted and Uvo aimed at the open jaw, the beast buckled to his knees. The Killright twisted the arm, pulling the joints of the sockets and landing an uppercut to the jaw. Uvo threw the hulking Keith and smashed an elbow.

Keith tried to throw another punch but Uvo struck quicker. "If you don't wanna stand," Uvo began, "then don't fall!" A final blow and Keith laid out, too injured to fight. The Killrights stared at each other in fatigue and smirks played on their faces.

They both looked at the holding room.

Vadars and Navier ran like headless chickens. The guards were on their trail and their feet stamped hard on the floors beneath them. A flight of stairs appeared in front of them and the jumped off, rolling to the ground and soon reaching the exit. Carrying the green bag that contained Vadars' Death Arm was certainly tasking but it would help them, majorly.

After bursting out the exit, Vadars grabbed the handle of his Death Arm and Death Matter energy erupted, ripping apart of the bag and revealing the ginormous sword.

Not this again...

A feeling dread entered his heart. It was going to start all over again. Just even thinking of it felt tiring. Gosh, he wanted it to end but this... this was who he was.

Vadars yelled and began slashing, incapacitating the guards and ultimately causing a huge wave of destruction around them. Crowds of people surrounded them, screams and shouts being heard from everywhere.

"Calm it down, man!" Navier shouted but Vadars gave him that grin.

"Relax, that's light. I'm sure they're fine," Vadars said but he then took a look back at the many injured guards. "A bit..."

They turned heel and began to run far away from Wade Alfonso's penthouse and there they had found Janda and Dorr nearby, dashing towards them.

"Oi!" Dorr shouted. "It's the condemned!" His horse stopped and Janda had a look in his eyes.

"I guess I didn't need to make a plan to get you out," Janda said.

Vadars rolled his eyes. "I would've kicked ass out of there."

Janda shrugged and they all looked back to find Leoria, Deacon, Uvo, Andreius, Zelpha and Akio meeting them.

"Wow," Vadars commented, "mission complete." He took a look at Andreius. "You look awful."

"I'm starved, V-Kid," Andreius replied. "You get stuck in a cell and barely have a good meal."

"Eh, I'd rather not."

Seeing them all together like this. They all looked tired but they were the closest people around him. He enjoyed that. As long as they were here, he felt complete.

A sudden explosion raised behind them and soundwave ruptured over everyone. They sky almost seemed it was about to blow up. The ground shook and the buildings rumbled, people falling to the ground and even more people began to run. Everyone kept their guard and three figures began to walk to them.

Hanze-fi.

Severin Colt.

A man in clean clothes.

Akio's eyes widened. It was the man from the bar.

"I was hoping we had a proper greeting," Q said, rubbing his neck. "Unfortunately, reality has other plans."

Vadars grinned. "I can finally beat the hell outta you. You must be the bastard we're after."

Q raised his hands. "I'm right here."

Vadars raised his Death Arm, the Killrights following suit. There stood beside him were his comrades. Sure, he didn't like some parts of them and at moments, he didn't like them at all. But they were there. Side by side, stood people willing to die for the greater cause no matter how bad of the cause was and how bad of themselves were. The men that stood in front of him, they felt almost unreal and he didn't know much of anything like either of them. But, he was ready to leap in to that unknown.

"Let's start this scene, 'kay?"

Author's Note: Goodbye everyone

It's done. Killrights is over and I don't know what else to say. It's been a short but explosive journey. Not the greatest thing to happen to me but I'll take what I can get. The last bits of writing have been very emotional and obviously forced. This is rushed like everything else but I don't care. It's Killrights. I'm proud of it. It's here and for everyone to look at. Looking at the other chapter where Vadars just stayed in the cell, it wasn't a proper ending. This is a better ending. It's not the intended conclusion of Killrights but it's what I've given. It's been a journey and this is the final one. Thanks for making me feel popular for three months.

By the way, read this chapter with either Revolution by Orange, Velonica by Aqua Timez or Run With The Wolf by Rainbow. They're great songs and I love them a lot. Perfectly captures Killrights.

Bye guys.
