Chapter 6:

I Really Hope This Is Lemonade Part -1

Magic Is Delicious!

Matthew sits there staring off into nothing.

Trying to process what has happened so far.

He snaps to.

“Man I’m tired!”

“It feels like it has been days.”

“Honestly I don’t really know how long I was in that desert, time didn’t seem to move.”

He picks himself up dusting himself off still covered in burrito chunks.

“Well, I need to find somewhere to rest it seems to be getting later.”

The sun hasn’t quite sunk low yet but is getting closer.

He looks around, and down at the sword in his hand.

“I need to find something to hold this in.”

It suddenly dawns on him.

He begins unbuttoning his shirt. Revealing a white A-Shirt underneath.

“This shirt is pretty ruined anyways.”

He takes his shirt and wraps the sword in it and ties the sleeves together, and slings it over his shoulder.

“This is as good as anything right now.”

He scans around, then begins walking in a direction.

Stepping on the burrito shrapnel as he leaves the area.

Squish..

squish..

squish..

“This sound is not pleasant.”

“This might have made me done with burritos for a while.”

He continues onward, through the dense forest.

Walking forward through the forest evening time is setting in and the sky is shifting to a bright purple.

Matthew looking at the sky with amazement.

“Wow, the sky is gorgeous tod-”

Not looking where he steps, he trips over a tree root.

He begins pulling his face off the ground, and rolls over to rest for a minute.

Then he goes to stand up but, notices his shoe ripped.

“Awww... these were new!”

He takes off his tattered shoes, and proceeds to stand up barefoot.

Continuing onward he begins to hear a rustling about just up ahead.

He slows down his pace.

Cautiously moves forward slowly.

Slowly…

slowly…

Then, out bursts a wolf from some bushes nearby.

Matthew startles and jumps quickly back.

They stare at each other intently.

The wolf begins to growl.

“Nice…. Doggy…. I’m not here to hurt you….”

Matthew then swallows hard, and dashes to his left.

The wolf lets out a loud bark, then pursues.

He is running all out.

The wolf lunges at him.

Matthew leaps at a tree and the wolf barely misses and hits the tree.

As Matthew stand back up his sword falls to the ground.

It catches his eyes.

“That’s right I have this, I should fight it off.”

He quickly grabs the sword, holding it with both hands.

The wolf stares him down once again, growling.

He lunges forwards, and so does the wolf.

They both……

miss each other and Matthew stabs the sword into the ground.

Baffled by this, he tries to pull it out quickly.

“How is this stuck so bad!”

He continues to tug on it.

Finally it gives way.

Pulling the sword out of the ground and on it is a burrito!?

“Huh!?”

Matthew looks at it puzzled.
