Chapter 0:
Little Dark Age
The young world drifted alone through the dark. Stars and planets moved around it, each following their own paths like they always had. Everything seemed certain except for it.
It felt lost, like an atmosphere drifting without an orbit. The star that once guided it was fading, and without it, the way forward didn’t feel clear anymore. It wasn’t even sure it could hold its own path.
Old mistakes lingered, heavy and hard to ignore, like something pulling at it from the dark. Even the constellations felt broken, like they were trying to say something it didn’t want to hear. The universe stretched on forever, and it wondered if it would ever find where it truly belonged.
But something was there. Quiet. Watching.
Not a god, not some distant force just something familiar. Something that understood.
It didn’t speak or interfere. It only nudged, gently, almost unnoticeably. Just enough to keep the young world moving forward.
And without realizing it, the world kept going through its own dark age slowly becoming the very thing that had been guiding it all along.
