Chapter 15

A few months have passed since Arthur's team invaded the enemy trafficking base. At that time, it was decided that they, along with three other squadrons from the area, would invade the place where all these organs were stored and would dominate that area. The main objective of this mission was to take from them all the acquired organs leaving them without resources to get money for their weapons and in the future end up surrendering or being more easily dominated by the army. With no time to waste, they were in a truck heading towards a safe place, which was 35 kilometers from the enemy's stock center.

Arriving at the site, they disembarked and noticed a vast forest blocking their view.

-I thought the information said that the enemy base was in a desert and dry place. (Arthur)

-And it is, but thanks to this large and dense forest, we can approach without being noticed by enemies. (captain)

Mike knelt on the ground and reached his hands out into the woods.

-GOD HAILS THE GREAT MOTHER NATURE! (Mike)

The gentleman our captain was addressing was one of the captains of the other teams that joined ours. Basically it was decided that our captain would be in charge of leading the four teams on this mission. (Arthur)

He opened a map of the site on the ground and began to explain the plan of action.

We would enter the forest and continue cutting it in a straight direction, after arriving near the end of it, a team would be sent ahead to see if everything was safe and if there were no traps. If conditions are perfect, the team will send only one back to the main group to let them know that the coast is clear. Ultimately we would stay close to their base where we would have no choice but a frontal attack catching them off guard. The captain also said that we would not use the radios to prevent the enemy from synchronizing the calls and overhearing our conversations. We started the operation that had no setbacks, in a few hours we were already in front of their base, spying on them in the forest. (Arthur)

-How many of them are there? (Thomas)

-Around 23. (soldier)

-Just that? What happened to the rest? (Thomas)

-The information matches. We are told that they anticipated our mass attack at the center of their seat. (captain)

-An atack?! (Arthur)

-Yes, but this was obviously not to end this war, it was just a decoy, so they would send soldiers there. They made it easy for us, we can't miss this chance. (captain)

At the enemy site, four soldiers guarded that perimeter of the forest.

The man stands up agitatedly and takes the binoculars to look. He sees a man staggering helplessly and wearing old rags.

He leaves his position and walks over to the person.

-Hey! What are you doing? You don't know if it's our enemy's plan, be ready! (enemy 3)

He continues walking and his friends decide to see what was happening more closely, leaving the position with him, but with one foot behind the situation. That's why they weren't as close to the person as their friend who was within 10 meters of her.

Several shots start coming out of the forest towards the enemies.

They pick up their guns and start firing in the direction the shots were coming from, however, they couldn't see any of their enemies. The man who served as the distraction starts running out of the line of fire, he lifts his hood and reveals his identity, it was Mike.

Damn it! It was all set up. If it goes on like this, we're going to die... mother, if you're listening to me, wherever you are. I just wanted to say that I... (enemy 3)

A bullet hits him killing him, as well as the other two of his friends. All four guards had been killed.

-Move forward! The rest of them must be coming, we have to master their position before they arrive. (Thomas)

-Uohhhhh! (soldiers)

Everyone starts advancing into battle.

-Captain... how can you use something like that against a person. He was just trying to help. You saw it, didn't you? He went to Mike to try to help him... and yet... we killed him. (Arthur)

-I won't ask for your forgiveness. But I want you to at least understand, this is how a war works. It doesn't matter who the person is, if he's not on our side we'll kill him. (captain)

It didn't take long for the squad to kill the rest of the remaining soldiers. It was a complete massacre, with no loss to the squadron side.

-Sir, we checked the perimeter of the houses to the east. Everything is clean! (Soldier)

-Very good. Contact the headquarters about our success and ask them to send the cars here. It won't take them more than three hours to arrive. At that time we will be looking for the goods. (captain)

-Well, now let's start the organ rescue operation. (captain)

They headed towards an old warehouse that was in the center, the door of that warehouse had a lock, but this was not a setback for experienced soldiers who took precautions for situations like this. One of them arrived with rebar cutters and blew the lock without any problem, he opens the warehouse door and everyone is frightened by what they see. It was like the cabin Arthur had entered on the other mission, but in a much larger amount. There were hundreds of boxes piled up, there must have been at least 50 million reais in organs in that place.

The soldiers did as they were told and scattered around the site looking for any useful enemy information. Hours passed and the things they found were private belongings like a brush, comb or coffee mug, nothing that was really useful.

Arthur opens a certain drawer, at first it didn't seem to contain anything, but looking at it calmly he realized it was a false bottom. He removed the background and underneath it was a map of the desert, it was basically a map that someone wrote over the top by drawing circles in random regions of the map, but in some circles there was an “x” over them.

-What could this be?? (Arthur)

At the same time that Arthur was wondering what could be that could be Mike approached a closet, but when he opened its doors a person came out with everything inside, pushing and fleeing. It was an enemy.

He was heading towards the forest, the soldiers wouldn't be able to capture him because he was too far away, so they decided to shoot him to take him down. However, none of the shots caught him and he managed to reach the woods, hiding from the view of the soldiers.

Everyone realized the best action to take at that moment. They acted in a hurry so that there was no chance of being caught by the enemies who were returning to the scene. The trucks parked near the warehouse and a team got out of them.

The nurse looks at all the members and realizes that there really were no injuries.

They finished loading the boxes into the truck and headed back to their base.
