Chapter 30:

The Fall of the Rhamian Kingdom, Part 3

The Legend Of Black Knight

In the middle of the dead of night, a group of humans and dark elves sat around a makeshift fire, they were divided into one side, on the left were the humans, on the right were the dark elves.

Serving as a pillar so a fight wouldn't start, Satoru wore armor that covered his entire body, which was more intimidating than ever, modeling the armor's design to something more like a black iron demon.

On his side is Envy, and sitting across from him the representative of each group, Gideon and Beren, this would probably be the biggest turnaround that ever happened for the other races, Satoru had to be careful who he chose to take on as their representative, so Gideon was the obvious choice for the elves' side and Beren was due to the lack of known people.

"Now that they've calmed down, can we start reviewing the plan?" asked Satoru, whose voice had been changed so that it was unrecognizable and befitting his imposing appearance.

Everyone looked surprised until suddenly they were startled by mental pressure, not something that would harm them, but it seemed like a warning that they would not escape if they thought of doing something that would offend the black-armored figure.

“Satoru, I know the plan is difficult to carry out with a few people, but I don't think it's a good idea, neither side likes the other.” Gideon, who was not under mental pressure, argued using his opinion about the current state of affairs and he was right, the chance of this going wrong due to racial differences, was great.

"I-I agree, hardly the money you gave will be able to keep things in peace."

Unlike the dark elf beside him, Beren didn't like going against Satoru's plan, but the facts outweighed his fear.

“I understand, therefore, each one will take care of an area of the city, starting with the humans, you can get through the gate more easily."

"Gideon, did you bring what I asked?"

"It's not much, but here it is."

Nodding to the dark elves, who had been released from the mental pressure, three of them rose and brought with them three small barrels that could easily be carried by one person even when full, inside them there was a drink with as much alcohol as the dark elves had.

"Fine Beren, you'll lead the group of humans through town and use two barrels to ignite what you can, and stay away from the center of town, when the guards see the fire they'll run to you, so run away, that one that I will stay will be on account.”

"Oh, right!" Beren nodded, and looked at the mercenaries, among them were men and women.

"Gideon, as soon as you see chaos break out opposite you, enter the city, even if you need to stealthily kill some guards, and then do as much damage as you can with the other barrels."

"Understood, however, it has yet to be explained how you get into this story." As soon as Gideon said that, everyone looked at Satoru, who seemed to take a deep breath and stared at Beren, even now, he didn't like to be invading people's minds as useful as it could be.

"First I need to ask, who is the hero of light I've heard about?" As if feeling his stomach churn, Beren looked on with remorse, it hurt him as much as remembering the village he'd given away.

"It's Auruwin, he mastered some kind of rare magic, and the kingdom to draw attention to his growing superiority decided to use a symbol, since then he hasn't left the capital unless there's something very urgent, don't tell me that you are going…"

So that he would stop talking, Satoru raised his hand, then immediately raised his entire body and wielded his greatsword.

"As you said, he's a symbol, kill the symbol in front of everyone and most of the hope is gone, then the king and queen with it will be gone."

Without any complaints everyone got up and started to prepare their things, Envy joined the group of dark elves, as Satoru would fight alone until he reached the palace having to cross the entire city to get it.

“Before everyone goes there are some rules, first, soldiers who surrender, are spared, take off their armor and weapons, and let them go, second, innocent people cannot be hurt or killed if I catch any of you doing that, I kill them myself.”

"How do we define someone innocent?" one of the humans who carried a barrel asked.

"Simple, if they don't attack you, they aren't enemies, and don't even think of ways to break the rule, I'm not much for arguing when I get angry."

Approaching the man who asked the question, Satoru's height suddenly made him look like a giant, causing everyone to break into a cold sweat.

"That said, Beren and Gideon, I'll meet you two in front of the royal palace, don't be late."

Walking away, each leader joined their group and went to their respective directions, each with their own goals, but which in the end blended.

Taking a horse-drawn cart was the perfect disguise for entering with the barrels while pretending to be carrying meat, so Beren entered with two other men, who were said to be his escort.

While everyone else took lesser-known routes into the city, but they didn't say how, the barrels were for the most damage, everyone else would have to turn to get enough attention.

When they were well away from the gate, they got out of the cart and each took a barrel, the targets were a warehouse that stocked various drinks that were distributed in the city's taverns, a betting shop that was closed at this hour, and lastly, a statue erected in honor of the hero of light, burning it there would be a big enough affront, especially in a realm that cares so much for its image.

Throwing alcohol on the statue, Beren looked emblematically, and using a flint along one face he generated sparks that ignited the building, and when he looked away and saw several red lights of flame, now there was no turning back, only all that remained was to move on.

On the other side of the city outside the wall, you could see that the guards looked startled at something, looking inside the wall, those who should have been looking in the opposite direction before, were now completely distracted, so they didn't even notice when two arrows crossed the air hitting their heads.

Soon several dark elves began to emerge from the darkness of night, and infiltrated the city, running mainly through alleys, no one wanted to be seen, luckily there were no more guards nearby.

The arena they were in had many houses and almost no businesses, so blowing up any place would be too risky for hurting innocent people.

By positioning the barrels so that they wouldn't hurt people, but still cause enough damage, especially after Satoru's words, everyone was afraid to infuriate him.

Next to Envy, Gideon took an arrow with a cloth wrapped around the tip and ignited it, then he fired it towards the barrel, which soon exploded.

Making so much noise that it blew up the front of a house, the barrel that was full of gunpowder was found by Litchia in the dwarf mine, Satoru recognized and chose to use three as a distraction, but there were still two of them that would be used to escape in case the soldiers caught them, however, Gideon and Envy started running around the city, soon the event was about to start, so the girl took a small object of 30 centimeters from the bag that was with her, it was like a pipe, in its interior a small amount of gunpowder that when it was ignited, fired a red stone in the air.

When it reached a certain altitude, the stone exploded in a very strong red light, another item that Litchia had taken from the dwarves, it was full of these crazy things they left behind, a real hidden and forgotten treasure.

With the red light and smoke coming out of the city, Satoru was a kilometer away, the reason was simple, around him the black mist covered an entire region, made especially to invade the city.

This smoke, dark as night, looked like a living monster that devoured everything in its path, moving on its own, if looked at too long would be enough for the weak-minded to feel their minds being pulled.

Seeing the sign of light, Satoru drew his sword and started walking, the guards must already be acting, the hero of the light must also, to cause even more fear, all the defenses of the city had to fall.

Therefore, the mist went in such a fast direction as Satoru himself, stopping when he collided with the wall, and passing over it, it was like a great monster engulfing the structure that kept the city safe.

Meanwhile, from inside the city, soldiers are distributed in several different directions, but to control the chaos, several nobles began to be relocated to the palace so that it would be easier to protect them.

Among the soldiers, a man mounted on his white horse drew all the attention to himself, just for being there, wearing white armor with several golden details. His sword was also striking.

The man with long blond hair commanded and maintained the soldiers Working.

"Mister Auruwin, it's an emergency!"

But suddenly his attention was called by one of the soldiers who was running in despair."What is it now?" Auruwin asked that when he looked at the soldier he saw that he was pointing towards the wall, when the hero looked, his expression froze in astonishment, he had never seen anything like that before.

Seeing in the distance the despair of people running in terror not only from the fire or explosions but also from the black smoke, moving his horse, he started to run towards the walls when people saw him. They opened hopeful paths that he could solve the situation.

As soon as he got close enough, he saw the black mist start to hit the ground, and move around swallowing the houses, everything she touched was swallowed right then, her horse began to get agitated as if sensing something bad, enter the fog would be completely suicidal.

"Be destroyed for the crime of turning against the holy realm!"

Knowing that at this speed, the fog would soon engulf the entire capital, Auruwin unsheathed his sword, and raised it, lightning began to appear and grow, until soon after he discharged everything into the strange fog, enough to kill countless soldiers of one. only once.

However, the beam did not pass through the gaseous form, it actually when it hit, had its force dispersed, through all the gas which began to emit a faint blue light.

Not knowing what had happened, the hero looked on in disbelief, his blow had caused nothing, pulling away from a little more, he tried a stronger attack, but to no avail.

The people looking at the distance were also incredulous, the blows of the strongest had no effect at all they seemed to feed the thing, which lit up with each new blow.

"Is that all you have?" A mysterious voice resounded from within the mist, no one understood from where exactly however likely from within, some seemed to hear it from farther away.

“You'll be hiding, show up, coward!” Getting angry, Auruwin spoke coldly.

"Very well, if that's what you want."

Soon after the voice resounded once more, no one believed the next scene, the ground shook and when they realized it, a bang as big as never heard before, marked the beginning of the end, as the stones flew to all corners.

A huge dragon-shaped club with lightning bolts dancing around it broke through the wall, letting a wave of mist enter and swallow everything else, but when it reached Auruwin, it split in two directions and stopped shortly thereafter.

The Cudgeon had disappeared, to make room for the sounds of heavy footsteps, walking toward them, coming out of the mist, black armor shrouded in lightning and mist, wielding a sword, and stopped in front of the hero.

"I'm here, do you have something to tell me, hero?"
