Chapter 41:
Unforgivable Vengeance
With a flick of Hiku's wrist, took her vambrace off with a sharp click, she doesn't hesitate, or even flinched, she moved her hand on her mouth, thumb against her teeth, pupils slitted, as her transformation triggered. The bite was quick, draw a pool of crimson on her hand, the way someone pressed the key into lock, not from pain, for purpose.
Her form began to illuminate, streak of lightning dance around her as her form began to shift, furr sprouted on her skin, nails sharpened into claws of blade, her forearm reshaped, molding into forelimbs resembled to enormous cats.
Sylvia's eyes wide in both awe and proud, stared at her shining armored girlfriend transformed on her Bakeneko form, shouted in triumphant.
"That's my girlfriend!"
Hiku blushed beneath her furr, landed on all fours on the ground, stood in the center, slitted pupils stared at the thick fog in front of them, her fur chest puffing proudly with a smirk.
~~~
Rosetta collapse on her knees, not wounded but focused on something, her translucent wings lowered, fluttered her eyes shut, summon a casting a spell around her with made of roots and vines, beckoning GigaPetal to emerge.
A single enchanted apple sprouted beside her, picked it up with her hand, bite from the bottom of the core before she pressed her lips in a gentle kiss and dropped on the green flare beneath her causing the ground rattle, she mumbled under her breath with her both hands clasped together on her chest.
"Father… if you heard me, come, emerge!"
A couple vine-root fingers emerged, if it listened to her command, curled around the ground on the opening, a single tree sat on it's moss-covered rock hunchback, leaves falling, a cape made from moss cascade behind it, the core on the center pulsating in sickly mint green, just like Rosetta's eyes.
A massive shadow loomed the entire clearing, behind Rosetta, it's pupil less eyes gleamed in gold, thick root shaped like horns on the top of it's head, stood taller behind it's summoner—GigaPetal has been returned once more.
It stood taller beside Hiku's Bakeneko form, it's core in the center of rock armor pulsating in mint-green hue.
Rosetta leaped from the ground and landed on it's armored shoulder, her gloved fingers moved like a fluid as her staff remolded into rose whip, covered in thick thorns and the rose bloomed in the center, Sylvia and the other team standing tall, their weapons ready as the massive shadow grew closer, Hiku on her bakeneko form low on the ground, crouching with a swish and flick of her tail, whispered, her voice was low and serious.
"She's coming…"
~~~
I emerge from the thick fog, exposing my massive size, the fog curling away in slow reluctant waves, though the air wants a space from my darkened scales, I didn't let a thunderous roar. Hiku and her team stood still, behind them Yua's heart ache as she saw my massive form on the entrance.
"Kyou…"
I was simply appeared, a massive clawed foot pressed with the weight that only accept with groan. My sharpened jaw, surrounded with razor sharp jagged teeth like a blades of knife, long curled horns covered in spikes, too tall enough to crash a single building using headbutt, my core on my chest pulsating in eerie crimson, same as the rage through my veins.
My Q-shaped pupils find them, very small enough to squished them all using my feet. Then I'd realized they're six at all, the part that breaks something inside each from them, the size, destruction and even the fog still clinging to my small shoulders like a cloak made from the dusk fog.
A lightning struck on the ground once with flames began to spread.
They recognized them, something behind in those eyes, they believe I was still me, in prison from the darkness, prisoners never get a freedom of suffering, my family's death, the wildfire, the haunting memories since as a child, calling me a monster, a burden, swirled together, emerging into one. I break the silent, my voice was deep and distorted.
"BUNCH OF FOOLS! DO YOU THINK YOU COULD DEFEAT ME?! I'M STRONGER THAN ONE OF YOU LIKE A PATHETIC INSECT EASILY TO SQUISHED WITH MY HEAVY FEET RATHER THAN SHOWING MERCY."
I let a devilish laugh, the entire city eerie quiet, citizens watching the unfold scene through the window, but no one gives a order.
"You're weak enough to kill me with your stupid weapons."
GigaPetal reshaped it's vine finger into blade, let a thunderous roar, it lunged first, massive footsteps rumbling, Rosetta standing on it's right shoulder, rose whip prepared. Hiku barked.
"Rosetta, NOW! Summon the vines!"
Without warning, GigaPetal stopped, letting it's owner made a first attack, Rosetta obeyed, raised her glowing hand, the whip unraveled, remolded into bow, thorn softening, lengthening curving into arch of bow, the rose on the top bloomed once more, petals peeling back to exposed in pinkish hue.
She draws, the string illuminates woven something from living, giving a reflection across her determination look, pulls back from the resistant that suggested is deciding. With a exhale—she release her grip from the string, causing the arrow with hidden seed doesn't driving straight towards my bizarre form, instead it drives, cutting a straight light through the air and began to multiple in circle before landed on the ground, burying themselves deeper on earth, the light dimmed, leaving a faint and slow pulsating light around me.
"Seo-yeon, now!"
Seo-yeon already reading her, obeying, fans opened, the tip catching the light as she shift her stance, arms rising, her skirt responded from something isn't just a wind.
The water didn't come from nowhere, it gathers themselves from humidity, the broken pipes in the bleeding street, surrendering it's moisture heading towards Seo-yeon's open fans like a iron drawing towards the magnet with aim without hesitation at the buried seeds.
The water touched the ground, the seed exhale, causing the ground beneath me trembled, the massive vines shooting outward and upwards violently; thick as supportive columns, thorn along in inch, illuminate as the same light from Rosetta's eyes.
Before I could moved, the vines immediately coiling around my one leg, then torso, my tail, every foot of height they gain.
I let a thunderous roar for the first time, thrashing helplessly against the coils from vines. Yua's heart ache as she caught me on her eyes in horror; trapped, helpless, squirmed.
"Nooooooo!! Stop please don't hurt her!!!" she cried, rushed towards, but Sylvia grabbed her wrist, prevent her from the danger, her gaze serious.
"Ma'am, please step back, she's dangerous!"
"She's not just a dangerous to me! She looks… vulnerable, and she was j-just my… my daughter…"
Sylvia froze, frills flattened, gaze softened slightly, her grip still remain on her shoulder.
"We know, ma'am. We're just trying our duty to save your daughter, we're just humans like you, but… it's too risk if you come closer, you're gonna die, just please come in evacuation for your safety, she's still loosing control."
Yua sobbed harder, tears flowing continuously on her eyes, clutching the sketchbook on her chest, Sylvia wrapped her flowing sleeves around the woman's arms, on embrace as the woman crying harder against Sylvia's shoulder.
"No… my baby, I miss her."
"I know, I know, ma'am. I understand, just wait and we'll handle this without hurting her."
~~~
I froze, my keen nose flared, Q-shaped pupils focused on below, gaze focused on the crying woman, the lightning struck on my body, trembled violently as I let a piercing cry.
"RAAAWWWRRR!!!!"
Yua freeze, snapped her gaze open, shift her attention to my paralyzed form, cried out as she watched me struggled.
"Nooooooo, my daughter! Mommy's coming!"
She pushed Sylvia aside with a yelp, stumbled on the ground, immediately rushed towards my massive form bounded in vines, and still trembled violently.
I collapse on the ground, let a low-pitched whimper, chin resting on the ground, Q-shaped pupils focused on the hazy figure towards my paralyzed form.
~~~
Yua placed both of her arms on my snout, sobbing violently remembered something she'd never raised me after all the years of suffering from the darkness, but now… I eventually reunite my real mother even I've raised from the wild, growing up alone in the cage of dusk slowly shattering, splitting like a glass, a flicker of hope bloomed on my cold heart.
"I'm here, mommy's here. I'm not going anywhere…"
Her voice was angelic, despite how exhausted she is after desperate for search to find her long lost daughter from years, but now… she found me just a vulnerable child on her arms after all years of my suffering—my family's death from the flame of hell and the people I kill by accident.
I let a low-pitched whimper, nuzzle my massive snout on her chest, tears flowing continuously on my reptilian eyes, for the first time in my life… I've finally found my real family; my only mother.
Sylvia and the rest of her team watch the scene, their hearts melted, observing the bond between a mother and the daughter. Violet call Hiku, shouting. "This is it. Hiku, now! Used your soul to enter to her core to save her from the darkness!"
Without warning, Hiku on her bakeneko form illuminate, gave Violet a silent nod before turning herself into spirit, charged towards my core in the center, I'm still weak to protest, I'll let her come despite still trapped in the darkness of my past—I'll let her come inside, save me from my inner demon; Mephistopheles.
I squeezed my eyes shut, no longer protesting, just collapse on the ground with my massive chin rest on the surface, feel the warmth of my mother's embrace for the first time in my life, surrendered my vengeance from now.
