Chapter 18:
How I Awakened an Ancient Pharaoh & Introduced Her to My Girlfriend
The Supernatural Patrol Division arrived to clean up the area. One of the agents reported several groups of statues and demons attacking other locations in Boston, dividing their forces. Ptahmose used his favorite strategy to expose his true targets.
The damage and the giant divine cobra were cleared away as though nothing had happened. The students and faculty were convinced that someone had spiked the punch, and homecoming was shut down early. Elise, Chloe, and Neferu blended with the crowd and left the school. Julia flirted with Elise one last time and promised that her offers were still open. Neferu and Chloe pushed Elise away while staring daggers at the vampire vixen.
Elise flopped on the couch and sighed in despair. “I really was looking forward to homecoming. I wanted to enjoy a nice romantic evening with my girlfriend…s.”
Neferu attached their equipment to the far wall with magic and sat beside her. “I know. However, you must look at the bright side: we’ve finally defeated Ptahmose. We’re free of his schemes. My father can rest in Aaru now, knowing we are safe.”
Chloe synced her phone with a speaker and played a slow dance song. “Hey, no one says we need some crummy gym to dance.” She offered her hand to Elise. “We can even spike our own punch if you’d like.”
Elise giggled and took her hand. “You can be really corny sometimes.” Neferu used another spell to restore their dresses for the dance.
“You like it,” Chloe accused her. The two started to dance in the living room, carefully avoiding their furniture. The two bowed once the first song ended, then shared a kiss. Chloe sat down and let Neferu have her turn with Elise to maintain balance in their relationship.
Elise abruptly dipped Neferu during their song and playfully bit the front of her dress, slightly tugging it down.
Neferu smirked as she was pulled up. “Beloved, do you truly believe you can perform your royal duties for two companions?”
“I have the fortitude of two lifetimes, my queen,” Elise assured her. “I believe it's time I prove myself worthy of such beautiful companionship.”
Chloe wrapped her arms around Elise’s stomach from behind. “We’ll see about that, hun.” She leaned in close and whispered into Elise’s ear. “It’s high time you paid for playing around with different women. Greedy girls get punished, you know?”
Elise turned her head and met Chloe’s lips. “My love, the one who has claimed my heart, you should know the might of a royal guard.”
“Yeah, flirting only works if we’re speaking the same language.”
Neferu placed her finger under Elise’s chin to face her. “It is not wise to challenge so strong a hunter and so mighty a pharaoh, my loyal guard.”
Elise grinned and gave her a deep, passionate kiss to silence her. “Let my bedroom be our battlefield. Neither of you will be leaving tonight.” Her words sent tremors of excitement through the girls as they took up her challenge.
Chloe’s phone acted as an unwanted alarm the next morning. Elise, the only one with any energy left, read the texts Jeff sent her. “The S.P.D. found a container of magic catalysts of Ancient Egyptian origin outside their headquarters a couple of hours ago. Must be the ones Ptahmose was bragging about last night,” she reported. “Setesh is trying to make amends.” A part of her wanted to find Setesh to talk, but she didn’t want to push her too hard.
Elise sat on the edge of the bed and pulled a long t-shirt over her. She looked behind her and smiled as her exhausted, satisfied girlfriends lay beside one another, and briefly considered putting a blanket to cover their nude bodies. “Neferu, you should have warned Chloe that Ahneith can be quite determined to perform her royal duty in the bedchambers,” she remarked.
Chloe rolled over and pushed herself up. “I demand a round three,” she grumbled.
“Honey, we’re past round ten, and I’m still standing,” Elise teased her. “I’m going to get a snack and a drink. Do you ladies want anything?”
Chloe flopped down on the bed. “My pride and dignity,” she replied, accepting her defeat. “Seriously, you really have changed. I mean, besides the endless stamina thing. You’re like…a different person.”
Elise walked around the bed, rolled Chloe over, and gave her a loving kiss. “As I said, two lifetimes,” she repeated. “I’m still the same person. Ahneith, Elise, I’m still me, and I still love you.” She stepped away to get her snacks.
Chloe noticed that Elise’s left eye was still gold, rather than its normal green. “Speaking of, missy. Now that you remember both lifetimes, you’re officially two-timing me,” Chloe accused her.
“Actually, I believe I would be the victim of infidelity, since she was mine first. We met four thousand years before you were ever born,” Neferu interjected. “Even so, pharaohs would take multiple wives for political purposes, and as I would like to maintain friendly relations with your order, I will permit my love to take a mistress.”
Elise sat back down on the bed and enjoyed the sense of nostalgia. “Ah, your first argument over me. I remember it like it was a few days ago.”
Chloe sat up, followed by Neferu. “Fine. I still say I’m the future wife, but we can cross that bridge when we come to it,” she relented. “But no more girls. Not Setesh, who gets a pass for treason for some reason, or Julia. Or Sidney, for that matter.”
“Agreed. Unless otherwise stated, there shall be no further additions to our household,” Neferu concurred.
Elise stood up and pretended to think. “Hmm. Setesh is technically my oldest friend, whom I accidentally put in the friendzone, allowing an evil priest to turn her against me, and Julia is an immortal vampire lady with an amazing body…” She turned around and walked toward the door, purposely swaying her hips from side to side. “It’s a tough call. Looks like you two will have to tire me out to convince me I don’t need more women for my harem.” She looked behind her and playfully stuck her tongue out to tease her girlfriends. “Don’t worry, the naked apron, cheerleading outfit, and whatever else you want to see me in is part of the harem package.
“It had better be!” Neferu and Chloe demanded in unison.
