Chapter 3

I wake up and I am still a spider, it wasn't a dream.
I sigh and pick myself up, even like this I have no choice but to my forwards.
I'm not hungry due to how much I ate yesterday, well there's no telling if day or night passes in here but I'll just trust my instinct.
The hole I am in is too small to live in so I keep moving and eventually find a bigger one, it's already occupied though, you can see the webbing in place and its a lot of webbing.
It must be a previous generation spider not a recent hatching like me.
It comes out and it's huge, a few time bigger than a car easily.
Keeping myself quiet and hidden it doesn't notice me and I quickly go past its place, I don't want to risk it by staying close by.
It feels like hours passed as I continue crawling, eventually I encounter something.
A frog, it's bigger than me and dumb looking but it spits at me, it lands on my back and it hurts like hell.

Acid? poison? that's really bad, I run and it chases me.
Spraying my web but it dissolves it in with its attack, this won't end if I don't do anything so I force myself and make more webs.
The frog is overwhelmed and is entangled in the web, I charge at it and bite it.
It's poisoned and will die but not fast enough, I bite again and it dies fast.
I am in immense pain as I try not to pass out, I hate this, I need to get out of this cave.

What is this! it suddenly popped up and scared me.
I can evolve now it seems, no special off branch like poison specialty but it can't be helped.
I pick the lesser option because it provides the most power upgrade compared to the other route.
Falling asleep and I wake up bigger, atleast as big a human adult now.
Falling asleep when evolving is bad, its risky to it in the open but luckily nothing was around this time.
I eat the frog and notice my pain is gone, evolution is great.
I spot a path downwards and it's hot? really hot, lava to be specific.
Eels, fish and small dragon looking creatures are what I can see down there.
No way! I will stay up here even if it's also dangerous.

Hiding all the time grants you these skills it seems, it will be easier to not be found as I rest.
More of my siblings found, they are still the same size.
I feel a slight regret but this is an easy win, I sprint over and kill them with my bare legs, my fangs are not even needed.

Done, cannibalism yet again and yet again I feel brave, it's a fool's bravery, makes you want to attack things you have no chance of winning against.
Time to sleep it off.

One day I hear a noise, talking? it's humans.
This is my chance to get out of here.
