The Birth of the Heir

DESTROYER OF WORLDS
Chapter 1: The Birth of the Heir
In a world ruled by power and magic, three bloodlines had been fighting for centuries: Demons… Humans… and Fairies.
A world filled with wars and broken alliances, with secrets buried within ancient scrolls that no one dared to open.
A world ruled by the Archmages on one side, and the High Clergy on the other, while the world of the Fairies remained hidden behind a mysterious veil, its true nature known to no one.
And at the heart of this chaotic world… stood the ruling family of Demons.
A bloodline renowned across generations for producing the strongest magic users, until its name alone was enough to strike terror into the hearts of its enemies.
And here… the story begins.
In this world, there was an ancient system to measure power.
When a child reached the age of five, they were subjected to the Crystal Ritual — a ceremony that revealed the nature of their magical power and its hidden potential.
But five years before that…
On a night when the sky seemed strangely still, a heavy silence fell over the great Demon palace. Even the flaming tongues of the torches appeared to tremble in anticipation of the coming event.
The heir had been born.
A child had been born into the ruling bloodline of Darkness.
His name… Kentro.
He had jet-black hair as dark as the night, crimson eyes that gleamed with an unusual sharpness for a newborn, and pale skin like the cold light of the moon.
Something about him… was not normal.
The King stood gazing at his child in long silence, while the sounds of magical music filled the palace and colorful flames danced in celebration of the birth of the long-awaited heir.
As for the Four Archmages, they watched the child with different expressions: curiosity… caution… and something resembling unease.
Finally, the King spoke, his eyes never leaving the child:
"One day… this child will surpass even me."
The Queen smiled as she gently cradled the child in her arms, then said:
"Look into his eyes, my lord… as if they hide something not yet born. I feel he will be great."
The Archmage of Fire stepped closer, then spoke in a hesitant tone:
"Strange…"
Everyone turned toward him.
He continued, staring at the child:
"I have never felt anything like this before. His aura is different."
The Archmage of Water said calmly:
"I feel it as well."
The Archmage of Wind added:
"There is something unsettling about this."
As for the Archmage of Earth, he remained silent for a long time.
His eyes were fixed on the child, as if trying to understand something he could not explain.
Before he could speak, the Head Servant intervened with a calm voice carrying years of wisdom:
"Power is not measured at birth… but when the time comes to prove it."
But the King did not like the conversation.
He struck the arm of his throne and said sharply:
"Enough."
Silence fell immediately.
Then he continued in a stern tone:
"This child is my son. The heir to the Dark Empire. He will become one of the greatest sorcerers ever born in this world."
No one dared to reply.
Outside…
The entire Demon village was living a historic night of celebration.
Black flags rose above the buildings, the streets filled with magical lights, while music and laughter rose everywhere.
The people celebrated the birth of their new heir — the heir they all believed would lead the Demon bloodline toward a new era of power.
The celebrations continued for days.
But news never stays confined within borders.
Soon after, the news of the Demon heir's birth reached the human world.
In the halls of the great Church, the High Clergy began discussing the mysterious child.
Would he be a future threat?
Had he inherited the Dark Emperor's power?
Or did his birth carry something even more dangerous?
Even in the distant world of the Fairies… someone was watching in silence.
The years passed quickly.
Kentro grew up amid attention like no child before him.
The servants, the archmages, and even the King himself… all followed his growth meticulously.
Everyone wanted the heir to become perfect.
For in this world, children were not raised out of love alone…
They were raised to become weapons.
There was an ancient law followed by the three bloodlines for hundreds of years:
Every heir born… is prepared for the coming war.
And when Kentro reached the age of five…
The time came for the Crystal Ritual.
The royal hall was filled with the most powerful figures in the Demon Kingdom.
Ministers, Archmages, guards, and servants… all gathered to witness the moment that would determine the future of the heir.
In the center of the hall, stood the giant crystal, surrounded by a faint blue light that pulsed slowly, as if it were a living being.
The King sat on his black throne and said in a voice that shook the hall:
"Begin the ritual."
Silence fell.
A heavy silence so deep that even the sound of the attendees' breathing vanished.
All eyes were fixed on the small child who began walking steadily toward the crystal.
Kentro did not understand why everyone was looking at him this way.
But he felt a strange weight on his shoulders, as if the entire hall was waiting for something fateful from him.
Yet…
He continued walking steadily.
Finally, he stopped before the crystal.
He raised his small hand slowly…
And placed it on its cold surface.
And the moment the ritual began…
everything changed.
