Chapter 1:
Pokémon: Rise to Champion
Morning light slipped through the thin glass windows of Elijah's home, reflecting off the sleek surfaces of a futuristic world outside. Hovering vehicles passed quietly in the distance, and holographic billboards flickered across the skyline of the region.
Inside the small but warm house, Elijah was still asleep.
"Elijah... wake up."
A gentle voice stood beside his bed, lightly shaking his shoulder. She had a soft smile on her face, dressed and ready for the day.
"Today's the day," she said. "You can't start your journey late."
Elijah slowly opened his eyes, blinking as reality settled in. For a moment, he just stared at the ceiling, processing the weight of those words.
Today was the day he would leave home.
His father stood by the doorway, arms crossed but calm. He wasn't the type to speak much, but his presence carried quiet support.
"So," his father said, "you're really going through with this."
Elijah sat up, determination alrady returning to his expression. "Yes. I've been ready for this for a long a time."
A small smile formed on his mother’s face as she placed a bag of food on the table nearby.
“You’ve always been like this,” she said softly. “Focused. Determined. Ever since your first Pokémon battle, you never stopped watching, learning… dreaming.”
Suddenly, rapid footsteps echoed through the hallway.
“Elijah! Elijah!”
A small boy burst into the room—his little brother. He was full of energy, running in circles around the bed before stopping just long enough to stare up at him with wide eyes.
“Is it true?! You’re really going to become a Pokémon Trainer?! Are you gonna catch a Legendary?! Can I come with you?!”
Elijah laughed slightly, ruffling his brother’s hair. “Slow down. One dream at a time.”
His brother gasped. “So it IS true!”
He started running around the room again, pretending to throw invisible Poké Balls into the air.
“I’m gonna be a trainer too someday! I’ll beat you to the Champion title!”
Elijah’s father let out a quiet chuckle, while his mother shook her head fondly.
The room felt warm. Familiar. Safe.
But beyond the window, the world was waiting.
A world filled with powerful Trainers, unknown Pokémon, and battles that could change everything.
Elijah stood up, tightening his resolve.
“I won’t let you down,” he said quietly. “I’m going to become a Champion.”
His mother walked over and gently hugged him.
“No matter what happens,” she said, “come back stronger than you left.”
His father placed a hand on his shoulder.
“Show them what you’ve learned.”
Elijah nodded.
Outside, the future of the region shimmered in neon light.
And today… his journey finally began.
