Chapter 2:

The blue one part 2

BALL 1

Chapter 2

As Red began to walk away, the monster suddenly rose again.

Before Blue could react, the creature lunged forward and bit into his arm.

“AHH!” Blue screamed in pain, falling to the ground.

Red spun around immediately. His expression changed.

“Clean.”

In a flash, Red dashed forward. A sharp straight-line slash of energy cut through the air fast and precise. The monster was knocked back, releasing Blue and dissolving into dark fragments.

Red grabbed Blue before he collapsed completely.

“We’re going. Now.”

Red rushed Blue to the hospital.

Blue’s vision faded.

Everything went black.

Blue floated in silence.

Then images began to form.

His past.

His parents.

They didn’t get along anymore… and eventually divorce. Blue stayed with his mom.

At school, other kids sometimes picked on him because of his color, but Blue usually ignored it. He told himself it didn’t matter because his mom always made his favorite food waiting at home.

One day after school, something felt wrong as he stepped off the bus.

The air felt heavy.

The house was quiet.

Too quiet.

Blue walked inside… and saw his mom getting killed by his dad.

And everything changed.

Blue jolted in his dream, overwhelmed, trying to run, trying to hide—but everything blurred and twisted like a broken memory.

A sharp sound echoed outside the dream.

Sirens.

Lights.

Police.

Then silence.

Blue’s eyes slowly opened again.

He was still in the hospital bed.

His arm was wrapped.

Red was standing nearby.

“…You’re awake,” Red said quietly.
