Tanimaki Sets Off on an Adventure (Part 2)

Long ago, Undo and Kylie were rivals in love, both seeking Luminous's affection.

As a wizard, Undo was far more powerful than Kylie.

However, Luminous chose Kylie as her husband—not Undo, who showed little compassion toward those weaker than himself, but Kylie, whose heart overflowed with kindness.

When Undo learned of her decision, he flew into a rage and tried to kill Kylie. But there was no way Luminous would stand by and watch.

At the time, Luminous was stronger than Undo, and she barely managed to seal him away.

"I'll go defeat Undo!"

Debiru, who was usually timid, spoke without the slightest hesitation.

"I can't leave the Demon King's side," said Luminous, unable to hide her anxiety. "I have to maintain the barrier and weaken the curse as much as possible."

"It's okay, Mom. Leave it to me!"

As he spoke, Debiru gently placed an arm around Luminous's shoulders.

"But... we don't even know where Undo is. And to defeat him, we'll need the Nyaon Jar. If you fight him head-on, he'll kill you," Luminous warned.

"What's the Nyaon Jar, meow?" asked Tanimaki.

"The Nyaon Jar is a legendary jar said to grant any one wish," Mayutan explained. "But it's also said that it won't grant any wish unless the person making the wish possesses true love."

"All right! I'll go with Debiru and help defeat Undo, meow!"

Everyone was shocked by what Tanimaki had just said.

"Tanimaki! Thank you!"

Overwhelmed with gratitude, Debiru threw his arms around him.

"Meow! Let go of me, Debiru!"

But deep down, Tanimaki had other thoughts. He intended to use this so-called Nyaon Jar to turn himself back into a human. He was, through and through, a shameless scoundrel.

"I'm coming too!" said Mayutan.

"Me too!" Ruritel said, following Mayutan's lead.

Unlike Tanimaki, those two genuinely wanted to help Debiru.

Tanimaki, blessed with exceptional physical abilities.

Debiru, the prince of the Republic of Meows, who could wield fire and lightning magic.

Mayutan, whose calm personality and sharp intellect made him a master strategist.

And Ruritel, still in training but already capable of using healing magic.

Together, these four would join forces and set out on a journey—to defeat the evil wizard Undo and find the legendary Nyaon Jar, the artifact said to grant a single wish.

"Ruritel is still training in healing magic? Will she be all right?" Luminous asked worriedly.

"Don't worry, Queen Luminous," Mayutan replied reassuringly. "Until Ruritel fully masters her healing magic, I'll manage with my first-aid kit. We'll bring plenty of medicinal herbs too."

Mayutan sounded so dependable that Luminous finally relaxed.

"Debiru... you must not fight Undo... he'll kill you..."

Kylie murmured in his sleep, tormented by a nightmare.

Hearing those words, tears welled up in Debiru's eyes.

"Dad... it's okay. I promise I'll save you."

Then Debiru clasped Kylie's hand tightly.
