Chapter 45 - Faith

In the second level of the castle, Tomoki is still struggling to damage the White chaos knight. His stamina and energy are almost gone, his body cannot keep up anymore but he still refuses to back down. Afraid that his body would collapse while fighting, Tomoki hid amongst the trees, hoping to rest, even for a little while before continuing his battle.

White knight: ''What's the matter Tomoki? Can't keep up?''

Tomoki: ''...''

White knight: ''Where is that arrogance of yours? Are you finally realizing that there is a difference between my power and yours?''

Tomoki stayed quiet and held his breath whenever the white knight got close to him. He could not afford to lose his position. If he did, game over....
The white chaos knight was still roaming the forest trying to find where Tomoki is hiding. Tomoki (hiding right at the edge of the room) was slowly starting to lose conscious. He was exhausted, dehydrated but worst of all...Weak.
He was slowly losing his faith. He was coming to the conclusion that he couldn't win. Could he even beat him? Was all of this effort just for nothing? Doubts filled within Tomoki's mind. For the first time in his life, Tomoki lost hope....

Suddenly there was a voice!
''Rise my child and fight!''
Tomoki looked around the forest trying to figure out where that voice was even coming from. The voice kept growing louder but Tomoki still couldn't figure out where that person was. All of a sudden, Tomoki started feeling drowsy.

Tomoki (in his mind): ''Wh-What? What is happening to me!? I can't pass out now! I still need to beat the white knight!''

His eyes closed...
When he opened his eyes, he realized that he was back in the Black void (the cave he was trapped in when he was a child).

Tomoki: ''Wait...Why am I here?''

Tomoki had woken up in the cave that mayor Williams had trapped him in over 10 years ago. However when Tomoki felt his face there was something wrong. He was still a child!

Tomoki: ''No...NO...This can't be a dream! Not this place again! I don't want to be trapped here again! PLEASE! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!! ANYBODY?? WHOEVER CAN HEAR ME PLEASE SAVE ME! NO...No....no...I can't handle it anymore''

Tomoki had no will to live...
He started remembering what happened in Red Sun Valley. All the memories started flooding back but he could not recall Yoshio or any of the Western Rebels. Feeling paranoid, Tomoki laid on the cold, hard ground and closed his eyes, waiting for death to take him. 

''This is not the end! You must not give up!''

Tomoki immediately rose from the ground and started looking all around. Unfortunately he couldn't see anything because the whole cave was pitch black. He started walking around the cave trying to find whoever that was. There was no mistaking it! It was the same voice from the battle with the white knight.
While exploring the cave, wondering where that voice came from, Tomoki was suddenly ambushed by a giant, shadowy demonic creature!
With being the glowing, blood red eyes only to be seen, Tomoki started running away from this beast. His mind was filled with trauma and fear, his legs were covered in bruises but he didn't stop to look back. He kept running forward, going much more deeper within the cave. While trying to escape, he tripped over a sharp object lying on the ground.

When Tomoki looked back towards the object, it started glowing.
IT WAS THE BLADE OF LIGHT!
Suddenly Tomoki heard the same voice again!

''Rise my child and fight!''

Tomoki grabbed the blade of light and suddenly his body started changing!
His body aged to the same Tomoki in the present
His mind started to become much calmer, his body suddenly felt more relaxed and free.
Just then the demonic creature started charging right towards Tomoki. He closed his eyes and with one swing, the demon was killed.

When Tomoki opened his eyes again, he was back in the forest hiding from the white knight. He held the blade of light and looked at his reflection. Memories from his childhood started appearing in his mind and suddenly Yoshio and the Western Rebels appeared! Tomoki took one deep breath in and slowly released it. His mind was more focused and his body was feeling much more refreshed.

But wait something was not right!
It was quiet....

White knight: ''Found you...''

The white knight leaped up into the air and charged directly at Tomoki, however there was a different outcome from this attack. Tomoki blocked the white knight's sword with the Blade of Light!

White knight: ''I-Impossible!''

The white knight leaped back, keeping a small distance from Tomoki. The Blade of Light started to glow from it's usual blue aura to a much brighter yellow aura. Tomoki glanced over at the white knight-

Tomoki: ''Rematch''

This fight was different from any of Tomoki's previous fights! He was much quicker, his attacks were more fierce and his strikes were much harder. For the first time in his life, the white knight was not on the offensive side! The white chaos knight tried to strike but Tomoki already countered every attack that the white knight thought off. Tomoki struck the white knight every 5 seconds, damaging the knight's armour. As Tomoki struck the white knight more, the blade of light kept glowing brighter and brighter. The white knight couldn't deflect nor attack. He was petrified, unable to move at all.

Tomoki: ''Bhagavad Gita Chapter 5 Verse 12 - The one who lets go of obsessive results finds steady peace. The one chasing every outcome stays tied to stress''

With one final strike, Tomoki cut through the knight's armour, permanently damaging it. He slashed the knight's chest causing his blood to splatter on the ground. The knight collapsed to the ground and the Blade of Light shattered into pieces. The battle has finally reached it's conclusion and-
